Some newly identified contaminants in our water resources have been recognized as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). It has become a threat to our drinking water. The existing conventional water treatment plants were not designed for these contaminants. The removal efficiency of EDCs from the source water samples using lab-scale water treatment processes, biological contact oxidation (BCO) process and activated carbon (AC), was estimated and compared. The types and concentrations of EDCs and androgenic activities were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and reporter gene assay respectively before and after treatment. The EDCs concentrations were decreased sharply for both methods. But the antiandrogenic activities showed no significant difference between before and after BCO treatment. In conclusion, the EDCs removal efficiency of AC, especially the granular form, might more effective than BCO process.

Using coconut-water as main culture medium, carboxymethyl cellulose -bacterial cellulose (CMC-BC) materials were obtained by Acetobacter xylinum through adding CMC as substitute carbon source in static cultivation. When 0.6% (w/v%) CMC was added into the medium, the yield of dried film reached 10.41g/L compared to 4.73 g/L in the control. The FT-IR spectra of the CMC-BC showed the absorption of a carbonyl group at around 1598cm−1 while that of BC without it. This suggested that CMC was incorporated into the cellulose ribbons. Their properties was determined by X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The CMC-BCs had lower crystallinity index than BC. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images showed that the CMC-BC had higher surface area. And the water holding capacity of the CMC-BC products were enhanced. This suggest CMC changed the micro-fibril aggregation of the pellicle to some degree.

This paper applies flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry to determine the content of metallic element in 24 kinds of TMC. Chemo-metric approaches, including Hierarchical Clustering Analysis (HCA), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) are used to carry out classified analysis on TCM efficacy, and the results show that this research on TCM efficacy using the approach combined FAAS with chemometrics has a scientific reference value for the further TCM efficacy analysis.

One of the major issues needed to be addressed in health sector in China is that low accessibility caused by inequitable resource allocation rather than resource deficiency. Health care facility planners and policy makers need accurate and reliable measures of accessibility as a planning support or the first step of essential policy intervention. In this paper, the enhanced two-step floating catchment area (E2SFCA) method was applied for the community health system of Wuhan. The sensitive analysis was carried out on different distance decay weights. As the finding of the research, the shortage areas of community health service in Wuhan were identified and suggestions were made on how to alleviate the community health care deficiency.

10000KN fine blanking presses is a kind of large-scale Forging equipment, which support immense pressure and stamping frequency in the process. The deformation and vibration of the fine blanking press frame have direct relationship with the tool life and the component precision. Therefore, the high structural stiffness and the good dynamic performance are predominant requirements for the reliability of the machine tool. To ensure the virtual prototype of the 10000KN fine blanking press frame meets the requirements in the best way, the paper starts from the concept design of the machine frame by the desired workspace dimensions. Then a single aim optimization method is used to find optimization parameters and the multi-objective optimization method is applied to get the global optimum which can satisfies both the stiffness of the press frame and the natural frequencies. At last, remodel the structure of the fine blanking press frame according to the result of topology optimization and ensure the feasibility of the manufacture, shape optimization is used to find the best structural parameters for the light weight design. The optimized prototype of fine blanking press frame can be applied to provide references for the machine manufacture.

Economic durability design of concrete structure is an ideal design. The economic durability design means the life cycle cost is the lowest. In this document, a model of concrete structure's durability design based on economic life is put forward. That is, economic design life and the corresponding durability design is determined according to the lowest life cycle cost.

With the rapid development of highways construction, there are increasingly more problems we need to deal with. This paper analyzes the current situation, and then proposes the following opinions about construction framework: Firstly, the management and maintenance of highways is of vital importance. Secondly, considering the safety, the establishment of intelligent highway environment will be the future road traffic. Thirdly, the logistics management and public transportation information services should be the target of intelligent road environment Construction. Subsequently, the related technologies are discussed. Finally, three most important technologies are summarized.

The same crop shows possibly difference features in the different data sources (e.g. images) and different surrounding environments. And so, it is difficult to distinguish objective crop's spatial distribution only by one of methods, especially in monitoring the early rice planting area based on RS. This thesis describes some features of early rice and other confusing objects on images, in the case of early rice romote sensing monitoring for hubei province, provides the differrent solutions to obtain the planting area of early rice based on RS. The result of the application presents that the approach is effective and efficient.
