A wide dynamic range integrating pixel with an accurately controlled logarithmic response 具有精确控制的对数响应的宽动态范围积分像素

A CMOS image sensor pixel is described that combines the sensitivity and speed of response at low light levels of a linear integrating pixel with the wide dynamic range of a logarithmic response. This is achieved by supplying an externally generated reference voltage to each pixel so that the effective integration time becomes a function of the photocurrent. In this paper the mathematical model of the pixel is extended to include non-ideal aspects of the pixels response so that the reference voltage can accommodate for these non-ideal aspects of the pixel so that the responsivity of the pixel can be accurately controlled.

Development of gait phase analyzing devices for the gait training equipment for hemiplegia patients 偏瘫患者步态训练器材中步态相位分析装置的研制

This paper describes the design and development of gait phase analyzing devices which are key components consisting of the gait training equipment for hemiplegia patients. The devices should be durable against the friction of rotating rubber belt of the gait training equipment and robust to the mechanical vibration caused by the operation of the gait training equipment so that they can detect the gait phase accurately during training. We could develop the gait phase analyzing device that can satisfy these criteria by designing and implementing of two new devices, a magnet shoe and magnetic sensor array board. The magnet shoe has three rows of magnetic sensor array and each row has different number of permanent magnets so that which parts of the shoe are touched to the magnet sensor array board. In addition, the shoe was designed as an overshoe so that a patient can attach and detach the shoe easily. The magnet sensor array board has 1,620 magnetic sensors which are arranged in 30 rows and each row consists of 54 magnetic sensors where the distance between sensors is 2 cm in horizontal and vertical direction. The experiment results show that they have spatial resolution of 1 cm in horizontal and vertical directions and temporal resolution of 20 frames per second of the gait phase. The gait phase analyzing devices developed in this study were incorporated into the design of gait training equipment for hemiplegia patients and they showed feasibility in practical operating environment. They also can be applied to other similar equipment which needs the gait phase analysis function.

Experimental investigations on reconfigurable Stewart platform for contour generation 轮廓生成可重构Stewart平台实验研究

The authors in their earlier works have shown that there is a lack of an efficient holistic methodology for determining the optimum geometry for the task of reconfiguration for varying tasks. A solution is possible through the formulation of dimensionless parameters in combination with generic parameters like configuration and joint vector, using the variable geometry approach. The proposed methodology provided a holistic approach to develop a complete set of design tool for any new reconfigurable Stewart platform for two identified applications viz., contour generation and vibration isolation. In this research work a Stewart platform test rig developed and error analysis is performed for contour generation to validate the simulation results. The natural frequency of the system is obtained through experimentation to be used in control studies.

A new adaptive ldquobeamformingrdquo signal-processing algorithm is developed to locate noise-sources aboard a pass-by rail-car, using an immobile track-side microphone-array. The microphone-arraypsilas beamforming is aided by two narrowband acoustic beacons abroad the rail-car aid to track the rail-carpsilas spatial movement and thus to locate the noise-sources with respect to the rail-car. No other auxiliary hardware (e.g., no radar nor video-camera) is needed.

Design of a web-enabled anthropomorphic robotic arm for teleoperation 用于远程操作的网络拟人化机械臂的设计

In this paper we present the design of a Web-enabled anthropomorphic robotic arm which is intended for teleoperation. The system consists of several interdependent processing modules to provide numerous functionalities. The device makes use of the already widespread WiFi technology as its wireless communications medium. This allows use of existing wireless networking infrastructure to communicate with the device. An Internet user can log in to a Web server running on a PC which is at the heart of the wireless communications and control module (WCCM) of the robot controller. The user can control the robotic arm remotely and access its sensory feedback signals as well. The WCCM has been designed with project portability in mind, and consequently will require minimal modification for other applications. The robot arm is controlled using a master-slave control methodology.

In this paper the signal-to-noise ratio and impendence matching problems can be improved by integrating the micro array bio-sensing probes and a thin-film-transistor (TFT) amplifier for signal processing together, both of them are produced respectively on the flexible substrate, and thus the product can be designed and disposed relying on the profile of the living bodypsilas portion.

Incremental PNN classifier for a versatile electronic nose 多用途电子鼻的增量PNN分类器

Due to robustness of the probabilistic neural network (PNN) architecture, it has been widely used for pattern classification tasks. Commonly used PNN algorithms are not capable of incremental learning. The classifiers having the incremental learning ability can be of great benefit by automatically including the newly presented patterns in the training dataset without affecting class integrity of the previously trained classifier. This signifies that, the incremental classifiers have the ability to accommodate new classes and new knowledge within an already trained model. Under the present study, an electronic nose anchored aroma characterization model based on PNN classification strategy has been developed whereby the sensor array outputs of the electronic nose can be co-related to the sensory panel (tea tasters) quality scores for black tea. The whole study has been done in few tea gardens in north-east India. In pursuit of development of optimal strategy for data collection from dispersed locations followed by dynamically augmenting the training data corpus of the already trained PNN model, the incremental leaning mechanism has bee suitably grafted to the PNN model to have efficient co-relation of electronic nose signature with tea tasterspsila scores. The incremental PNN classifier promises to be a versatile pattern classification algorithm for black tea grade discrimination using electronic nose system.

In this article we describe a feedback circuit, with thermoresistive sensor, based on thermal sigma-delta modulator. This circuit uses a one-bit first order sigma-delta modulator in which considerable part of conversion functions is performed by the sensor. This transducer circuit is able to perform digital measurement of physical quantities that interacts with the sensor: temperature, thermal radiation and fluid velocity. In this paper, this circuit was used to measure environment temperature. In this circuit, digital output voltage is linearly dependent on the environment temperature. We show the equations that support circuit behaviour, simulation results and experimental results. In addition, we present the thermal radiation architecture version in which digital output is intrinsically linear to the thermal radiation measure.

In this paper, this circuit was used to measure environment temperature. In this circuit, digital output voltage is linearly dependent on the environment temperature. We show the equations that support circuit behaviour, simulation results and experimental results. A 3D online monitoring system 一种三维在线监测系统

A newly developed 3D online monitoring system provides image quality equivalent to DVD and features a new image capture method that relatively reduces the visual burden compared with conventional stereo camera systems. The remote stereo vision system (RSVS) developed by the authors synthesizes right and left images taken by the stereo cameras into single image information and is compressed using the MPEG2 standard to reduce the bandwidth needed for transferring to remote observers via the Internet. The image quality is approximately 13 Mbps. With conventional image capture methods using stereo cameras arranged in parallel, parallax increases as the object gets closer to the cameras, which in turn creates eye strain for the observer. The optical axes of the right and left cameras intersect and the position of the intersection is adjusted when capturing an image to decrease the visual burden compared to conventional cross methods which generate geometrical distortion in the depth because the locus of the same parallax is circular (horopter). The new stereo camera image capture method developed by the authors is capable of correcting geometric distortion to reduce the visual burden and solve this problem.

Level controlled clustering in wireless sensor networks 无线传感器网络中的水平控制聚类

Sensor networks can be used for various applications areas like health, military, environmental etc. For different application areas, there are different technical issues that researchers are currently resolving. This paper deals with a distributed sensor network employing level controlled clustering. Level controlled clustering is a technique that uses leveling and clustering together. This technique reduces the number of messages in the direction of base station and thereby increases the life time of the wireless sensor network. We divide the network into levels of different power levels. By using various power levels at base station, the sensor field is hierarchically partitioned into levels of increasing radius each level containing various sensor nodes. Leveling divides the network into logical zones based on proximity from base station, whereby the packet is transmitted from a node in the next zone with lesser depth. The transmission probability is fixed. The primary advantage of this protocol is transmitting a critical event and at the same time conserving life time of the network for future monitoring.
