With the popularization of online shopping platforms across China and in order to maximize profits, online shopping platforms developed various recommender systems (RS), which played an important role in consumers’ decision-making process. Therefore, the impact of RS on consumers’ decision-making process is worthy of studying. In this paper, the RS of online shopping platforms and two examples of them were introduced. This paper firstly analyzed the ethical challenges related to the RS, including algorithmic opacity, privacy concerns, and bias and behavior manipulation and provided solutions accordingly. Besides, the paper through a method of online questionnaire and data analysis, illustrated RS’ ability to influence consumers’ decision making by providing them with personalized recommendations during online shopping. In addition, with the help of an online questionnaire filled out by more than 128 Chinese consumers across different ages and occupations, the author also analyzed people's attitudes towards the RS. According to the research results, this overall finding implies that recommender systems in contemporary electronic commerce are not merely decision aids for lowering search costs, but may also play a substantial part in economic decision making. A randomised trial strategy was used in this work to support the idea that internet recommendations may influence willingness-to-pay judgements, even when the two are tested on distinct scales.

Chinese government has distributed a large number of consumption coupons in 2020 to stimulate the consumption in restaurants, shopping malls and other brick-and-mortar stores hit hard by the pandemic. This paper aims to explore the question whether the current consumption coupon program implemented in the city level has a positive impact on consumption. This paper first uses hypothesis test but does not find prominent difference between cities issuing different amount of coupons. Furthermore, this paper uses the Distributed Lag model to figure out the numeric impact of coupons with the empirical estimation of lag weight and Almon method.

The incidents and crimes in the Philippines are rapidly increasing year after year based from the reports from the PNP (Philippine National Police), BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection), and LGU. AidPack is a web application that allows civilians to report various street crime with the reports directing to barangay officials. Incident reporting addresses various problems and ensures the safety of each citizen around the community. The results from the functionality test, usability test, and user-acceptance test suggest that developing an effective incident reporting system requires the developer to consider ease-of-use, clarity, and clear proper instructions. The researchers recommend adapting other UAT models and conduct a comparative study of the system and conducting further interviews towards other agencies.

Investment in infrastructures is attracting more and more attention from both policy makers and entrepreneurs. We study the impact of infrastructures on economic welfare using a nationally representative microeconomic dataset – China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). The economic welfare of interests includes income, labor supply and self-reported health status. By constructing an index of essential facilities defined as the infrastructures that are necessary and essential for daily living, and by constructing an index of nonessential facilities are defined as the infrastructures which can raise the living standard but not mandatory to people's daily life, we identified a positive impact of both essential facilities and nonessential facilities on economic welfare, however, when these two variables are simultaneously included into the regression, the nonessential facilities turn insignificant, which suggests the importance the essential facilities over nonessential facilities. To be more specific, 1 unit increase in essential facilities index is associated with an increase in annual income by 2911.4 Yuan, with an increase in labor supply by 0.65 month, and with an increase in the probability of having a good self-reported health status by 2%.

With the arrival of the era of big data, Internet technology continues to upgrade and mature, and mobile terminal smart devices are common and widely used. At present, China's network has achieved full coverage, and the continuous innovation of 5G technology has laid a solid foundation for the development of China's network, and provided bigger space for opportunities and development. With the rapid development of China, our per capita income is constantly increasing, the people's quality of life has been improved significantly. The consumption patterns and concepts of people keep pace with the times. With the development of network technology, the national networking of our people has become the norm and is gradually improving. But at the same time, information technology security, negative energy dissemination and other issues are becoming more and more serious, in order to achieve the sustainable development of the network ,the current network needs to be optimized. We should create a new network full of positive energy, containing correct values and benefiting the people.

Environment, society and Governance (ESG) is used to evaluate an enterprise's sense of responsibility for social and environmental factors. With investors paying more and more attention to a company's sense of social responsibility and environmental protection awareness, and believing that companies with a high ESG score have greater prospects, many companies are forced to be involved in ESG investing. So how does this belief make sense? This study aims to integrate carbon emission and related capital expenditure in the discounted cash flow (DCF) model. With the aim to achieve this, we collected data from two (four) companies, both historical and predicted, to prove that there indeed is a relationship between corporate environmental investment and the company's intrinsic value of stock.

With the development of the Internet and the emergence of the epidemic, the importance of online shopping has gradually increased. In order to attract consumers, the propaganda methods of businesses have gradually become diversified. Among them, the online informercial became popular in the past year. From an empirical point of view, this article focuses on the characteristics of people watching live broadcasts and the factors that affect consumers' purchasing decisions, combining the consumer decision-making model and the empirical research of the predecessors. A questionnaire was designed and disseminated through the Internet. In the end, 161 people completed the first part and 49 of them completed the second part. All data have been analyzed with R studio. The following conclusions are drawn: consumers’ decision-making is positively influenced by the three channels “Knowledge”, “Emotion”, and “Fame of Kol”, among which the direct variables “Information” and “History” positively influence decision-making through “Knowledge”. “Information”, “Quality and low price”, and “History” positively influence decision-making through “Emotion”. “Fame” positively influences decision-making through “Fame of Kol”. At the end of the thesis, based on the conclusions, suggestions are made for online companies, live broadcast platforms to increase consumer purchases, and the deficiencies of this article are summarized.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of three variables, which consist of perceived usefulness, perceived convenience, and perceived security in the use of e-Filing on individual taxpayer compliance which will be implemented in 2021. The method and object of this paper uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 139 respondent's who already have a NPWP, have used the e-Filing application, and are domiciled in West Jakarta. The result of the research shows that perceived usefulness has a significant effect on individual taxpayer compliance. Meanwhile, perception of convenience and perception of security have no significant effect on individual taxpayer compliance. The conclusion of this study as a whole of the three variables have a significant influence on individual taxpayer compliance.

This study aims to analyze the efficiency level of manufacturing companies in Indonesia, especially in the consumer goods sector in 2018 to 2020. Using a two-stage DEA approach, the result of the study shows that the efficiency level of manufacturing companies in Indonesia is still fully efficient. The results of DEAP data processing indicates that manufacturing companies tend to have a pattern of Increasing Return to Scale (IRS). In addition, the estimation results from the Tobit regression model indicates that the number of employees, income, and Return on Equity (ROE) has a positive impact on the company's efficiency. However, the expenditure of the company's salary/wages has a negative impact on the company's efficiency, indicating the need for revaluation and reconstruction of cost budgeting incurred by the company, especially on the salary/wages expense.
