Abstract: Speech acts are part of a pragmatic analysis that examines language from the aspect of actual use. The text in this poem has a communication process and contains utterances that refer to speech acts. This study discusses the analysis of expressive speech acts in the text of the Assalam poem in terms of the types and functions of expressive speech acts in the text of the poem. The purpose of this research is to describe the expressive speech acts of Anis Syausyan in Assalam. This research uses a qualitative description research method. Collecting data in this study using observation techniques and note-taking techniques. The research data is in the form of fragments of Anis Syausyan's speech in the form of expressive speech acts. The source of the research data is the entire utterance contained in the Assalam poem. From this research it is hoped that expressive speech acts in poetry can be identified. The findings are explained as follows, the types of expressive speech acts contained in the poem "Assalam" consist of the first; speech act of criticizing, second; speech act of complaining, third; speech acts of praise, fourth; speech act of blaming, fifth; insulting speech act

Salah satu sejarah penting untuk di teliti adalah Simeulue Pada Masa Kolonial. Adapun tujuan peneliti adalah mengangkat kembali peristiwa sejarah Simeulue pada masa kolonial, untuk penting diketahui semua kalangan, khususnya generasi muda sadar sejarah dan mereka harus melestarikan semua warisan leluhurnya. Metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode sejarah kritis, yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu tahap pengumpulan sumber, kritik sumber, tahap interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian adalah pada masa kolonial Belanda sudah dibangun sarana transportasi laut antar pulau di Simeulue. Pemerintah Kolonial Belanda juga mengangkat 11 guru di delapan sekolah rakyat di Pulau Simeulue, enam orang berasal dari pulau Simeulue, sisanya adalah keturunan melayu atau Aceh. Pulau Simeulue masa kolonial Belanda penghasilan kayu pernah mengangkat nama baik Simeulue di mata dunia, bahkan mendapatkan gelar “Paris Van Sumatera. Pada masa pemerintahan Belanda perdagangan kopra di Simeulue sektor unggalan berkualitas ekspor. Sekitar bulan Maret 1942 tentara Jepang memasuki pulau Simeulue melalui pelabuhan Sinabang, dan membentuk pusat komandonya di kota ini. Status pemerintahan Simeulue tersebut “gun” yang dikepalai oleh “Guntyo” yang personalnya diangkat dari masyarakat pribumi (Simeulue).

Berangkat dari masalah masih adanya perilaku bibliocrime walaupun pihak pengelola perpustakaan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh telah melakukan usaha pencegahan terhadap bibliocrime, maka perlu dievaluasi kembali setiap usaha pencegahan bibliocrime tersebut guna melihat sejauh mana keberhasilan upaya pencegahan yang telah diterapkan dan dapat ditingkatkan lagi untuk kedepannya agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya pencegahan bibliocrime yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh dan dampak dari penerapan upaya pencegahan bibliocrime terhadap pelestarian koleksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu pihak pengelola perpustakaan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh yang berjumlah satu orang, sedangkan objek penelitian ini yaitu upaya preventif yang dilakukan oleh pihak pengelola Perpustakaan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh dalam mencegah bibliocrime. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Model evaluasi yang digunakan yaitu model discrepancy dimana penilaian suatu program berdasarkan kesenjangan antara standar yang diharapkan dengan fakta di lapangan. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya pencegahan bibliocrime yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Perpustakaan Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh yaitu arsitektur gedung dan desain ruangan, loker, petugas keamanan, security gate, barcode, pemeriksaan ketat buku yang baru dikembalikan, denda dan sanksi, dan program orientasi perpustakaan. Walaupun demikian, upaya pencegahan yang sudah sesuai dengan standar adalah pemeriksaan ketat pada buku yang baru dikembalikan. Dampak dari upaya pencegahan bibliocrime di perpustakaan Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia Aceh terhadap pelestarian koleksi yaitu dengan adanya upaya pencegahan yang telah dilakukan tingkat bibliocrime menjadi lebih rendah sehingga menyebabkan terjaminnya kelestarian koleksi yang ada di perpustakaan.

The reign of the Abbasid dynasty reached its golden age during the reign of caliph Harun al-Rashid and caliph al-Ma'mun. At that time, literacy centers had developed, and the city of Baghdad was called a world professor because it had places of learning that gave birth to experts in several fields of knowledge, and became a center for translation facilities that translated many Arabic and non-Arabic books. However, in 1258 this dynasty entered a phase of destruction followed by the disappearance of scientific civilization as the Mongolian dynasty, which was then led by Hulagu Khan, came. The entire civilization of the Abbasid dynasty in Baghdad was destroyed and school buildings, mosques, universities and other buildings were torn down, all books were burned and thrown into the Tigris river, so that the river water turned black and many experts in the field of science were killed. All civilizations that once reached their heyday were immediately scorched to earth by the actions of the Mongolian troops. This was the beginning of the destruction of Islamic literacy because all evidence of books was destroyed and the deaths of experts in the field of knowledge who were sources of studying knowledge.

This study aims to describe the forms of violation of the principles of cooperation in the first part of the Ahlul Kahfi drama. And knowing the conditional meaning of implicature in the first part of the ahlul kahfi drama. To achieve this goal, descriptive qualitative research is used by analyzing and collecting the script of the play in the form of conversations between characters using the theory of violation of the principle of Grice's cooperation which gave birth to the conversational implicature. This method can provide a conclusion that in the script of the first part of the Ahlul Kahfi drama there are several violations against the principles of cooperation namely the violation of quality maxims, violations of quantity maxims and violations of relationship maxims, and there is no violation of the maxim of means. And the meaning born of the implicature of the conversation due to the violation of the principle is adapted to the context of the speech.

Wayang (puppet shows) for the Javanese people are a source of culture and tradition, philosophical values as well as religious teachings. It developed into a means of socio-cultural-religious transformation of da’wah, especially for Sunan Kalijaga. In the wayang, some lakon (plays, scenes, episodes) are taken from the epic story of the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and other ancient literatures. Meanwhile, wayang characters that resonate the Javanese people are Punakawan. The cultural and religious transformation brought by the lakon can be seen in the meaning and naming of Punakawan. In addition, the displayed role contains an elegant religious message wrapped in culture. Employing qualitative research using the analysis method, steps taken done to write the paper are; first, observing the theological and social revolution of the Javanese society, which is animist, dynamic, and paganist towards monotheistic mysticism. The second is the shift phenomena of Javanese Hindu ideology towards the Islamization of Java through an egalitarian concept of Islam. The third is the interpretation of young people’s anxiety through the distinctive voices of criticism. The result of this research is the disclosure of written descriptions of the characteristics of the practice of Javanese society through the process of cultural and religious transformation in the interpersonal play of Punakawan.

Counseling crisis is experienced by many people because of a lack of trust in Christian counselors. One of the current arguments is that the counselor is not an expert or a graduate in the field of counseling study. Not to mention the moral problems the counselor shows to the person being served, both in speech and even to the point where someone commits sexual harassment. From this, the lack of trust in counselors occurs, even though many families need the help of a counselor with their family problems, such as divorce. This study uses the method used is a literature review. Literature reviews discuss published information in a particular field of research and sometimes knowledge in a specific study area over a certain period. The results of this study are, first, Christian counseling services as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. Second, there is special attention to church pastors. Third, the right solution amid increasingly complex changes and developments. Fourth, it is implemented proactively. Fifth, good cooperation between the church (the pastor and workers) and the entire congregation, especially husband and wife.

One of the current arguments is that the counselor is not an expert or a graduate in the field of counseling study. Not to mention the moral problems the counselor shows to the person being served, both in speech and even to the point where someone commits sexual harassment. From this, the lack of trust in counselors occurs, even though many families need the help of a counselor with their family problems, such as divorce. This study uses the method used is a literature review. Literature reviews discuss published information in a particular field of research and sometimes knowledge in a specific study area over a certain period. The results of this study are, first, Christian counseling services as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. Second, there is special attention to church pastors. Third, the right solution amid increasingly complex changes and developments. Fourth, it is implemented proactively. This article analyzes the Orientalists who study the Qur'an, they are Abraham Geiger, Theodore Noldeke, William Muir, and John Wansbrough. This research uses descriptive analysis methods to find out how Orientalists view and think about the Qur'an. The main data is collected from books related to Orientalist thought as well as from scientific journals. The results found several Orientalist views of the Qur'an in the ontological aspect. Geiger argues that the Qur'an is influenced by Judaism which includes: various stories in the Qur’an, morals, and laws, about life, language, and faith. The Prophet Muhammad took a lot of Jewish cultures and integrated them into Islam. Meanwhile, Noldeke alleged that the Qur'an was composed by the Prophet Muhammad and that many of its contents were plagiarized from the Bible. His criticism of the Qur'an can be summarized in two points. First, he stated that the meaning of the ummiy of Rasulullah was not unable to read and write, but the opposite of ahl kitab. Second, according to him, the Qur'an is not a revelation. Muir attempted to rearrange the chronology of the Qur'an from a historical perspective and initiated a chronological theory. Meanwhile, John considers the Qur'an not as a holy book but as a collection of notes on the prophetic concepts of the Arab nation and aims to elevate the status of the Arab nation.

Al-Ghazali is one of the greatest Muslim scholars. He is known as Hujjah al-Islām because of his success in defending Islamic orthodoxy in the face of heretical groups. However, Al-Ghazali is also not free from controversy. Among these criticisms is that Al-Ghazali had experienced a period of skepticism and inconsistent thinking. This research attempts to analyze Al-Ghazali's works and secondary books that explain Al-Ghazali's thoughts. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature research. The topic of this research is the controversy surrounding skepticism and accusations of inconsistency in Al-Ghazali's thought. The steps in this study include topic selection, information exploration, focus determination, data collection, data presentation, and report preparation. The results of this study suggest that Al-Ghazali's skeptical period was not a problem because it happened in a short time and he did not produce any papers. The problem of Al-Ghazali's inconsistency arises because of the many works attributed to him but not actually Al-Ghazali's work or because of the different readers intended by Al-Ghazali in his different books, as stated by Dunya. In conclusion, this study argues that a comprehensive reading of Al-Ghazali's work is needed to provide a complete picture of Al-Ghazali's figure and the extent to which his works are devoted.

Modernity has provided a distinction between religion and science as advised by Western secularization. However, the Indonesian administration does not practice such a treatment, even the structure of the field of Islamic studies in educational schools indicates a link between religion and science. This article aims to comprehend 1) the interrelation of religion and science in the Islamic studies field structure, 2) the forming background of the paradigm of the Islamic studies structure as a critical study, and 3) its implications for the Islamic studies development in Indonesia. To bridge the discussion of this problem, the relevant descriptive research method is used to collect library data. The study found that 1) the Islamic studies field structure is integrative, 2) the forming backgroun of the typology formation cannot escape the influence of Western education culture on Muslim scientists as well as the Indonesian values that regards religious and state values in a symbiotic way, and 3) the impact of Islamic scholarship integration toward paradigm on systems and learning methods in Indonesia. Modernitas telah memisahkan antara agama dan sains sebagaimana dalam sekularisasi Barat. Namun, perlakuan seperti itu tidak dilakukan oleh pemerintah Indonesia, bahkan struktur bidang studi Islam di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan menunjukkan adanya keterkaitan antara agama dan sains. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami 1) keterkaitan agama dan sains dalam struktur bidang studi Islam, 2) latar belakang pembentukan paradigma struktur studi Islam sebagai studi kritis, dan 3) implikasinya bagi perkembangan studi Islam di Indonesia. Untuk menjembatani pembahasan masalah ini, metode penelitian deskriptif yang relevan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kepustakaan. Dalam kajian ini, ditemukan bahwa 1) struktur bidang kajian Islam bersifat integratif, 2) latar belakang pembentuk pembentukan tipologi tidak lepas dari pengaruh budaya pendidikan Barat terhadap ilmuwan Muslim serta nilai-nilai Indonesia yang memandang nilai agama dan negara secara simbiosis, dan 3) dampak integrasi keilmuan Islam terhadap paradigma sistem dan metode pembelajaran di Indonesia.
