The essence and specific features of marketing are disclosed, based on the results of studies of the drug market. The market of outpatient and hospital services is analyzed using the marketing means. The succession of compartments of the marketing programs applied is presented.
Mortality caused by diseases of the circulatory system is analyzed on the basis of files of the Ministry of Health and of the State Statistical Committee of Russia and the results are correlated to the objective parameters reflecting the potentialities of cardiological service in Russia and the actual status of prophylaxis, including regular check-ups. Conclusions are drawn and recommendations offered.
The volume and type of treatment and prophylactic care rendered on an outpatient basis to children during a year is assessed based on a sampling from files of 2083 disabled children living in a large industrial city Ufa. In contrast to the entire population of children, each disabled child receives more visits from doctors at home and visits the health center more often. The majority of visits to the health center are for treatment and diagnosis and for consultations. Local doctors are visited mainly for prevention. The activity of local nurses responsible for follow-up of disabled children is low.

Selects the most typical problems and considers the circumstances of their appearance and measures to prevent and solve these problems. Offers various types of disease grouping as an important tool for analysis of data on population health.
The social and economic category "level of life" is to become a reliable and objective instrument for assessing population health, for it reflects the true income and expenditure of a territory for the state, municipal, and private consumption. A tendency to decrease of expenditures for private consumption, observed at some territories, absence of regulation of the relationships between the existing levels of the minimal salaries and survival minimum and the population health require hygienic norm-setting in the socioeconomic sphere of health protection and the relevant state surveillance of institutions of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service.
