This research explores the impacts and strategies for integrating corpus linguistics tools in training translation lecturers. The focus of the study is to evaluate how the integration of corpus tools in the training of translation lecturers can enhance their efficiency and professional development. Data was collected through the use of questionnaires from 114 lecturers in translation studies and Ph.D. researchers in translation. Analysis was carried out using relevant statistical tools. The research findings indicate that the use of concordance tools, such as AntConc, has a notable positive impact on the effectiveness of translation instructors in demonstrating language patterns to their students. The substantial levels of agreement highlight the potential of these tools in facilitating the integration of theory and practice in the field of translation education. Furthermore, the participants recognized the effectiveness of specialized corpus-based translation tools such as TransTool in providing domain-specific linguistic information for accurate translation decision-making. The use of corpus-based tasks and exercises has developed as a strategic approach that strongly resonates with translation instructors, facilitating a comprehensive comprehension of the integration of corpus linguistics and its significance for educational methodologies. The aforementioned result underscores the need to include experiential learning and practical involvement to improve the effectiveness of translation teaching. However, there was a varied opinion of the influence of web-based corpora, suggesting the need for a more nuanced comprehension of their advantages and difficulties within the framework of translation education. Following the findings, it is thus concluded that the integration of corpus linguistics mechanisms in the training of translation lecturers remains effective as they enhance the use of real-world data in their translation studies and the use of data generated from a wide spectrum of languages in teaching translation.

The relationship between language and society has interested many scholars of various disciplines in the social sciences and communication studies. This article compared the viewpoints of two fundamental authors of the interpretive approach in sociology, Alfred Schutz – founder of phenomenological sociology, and George Herbert Mead – one of the founding fathers of the symbolic interactionism’s perspective, on the relationship between language and social interaction. The article first presents the theories of Mead and Schutz on the relationship between language and social interaction, then points out the similarities and the differences between these theories. Finally, the difficulties each theory encounters and how these difficulties are overcome is discussed. Although Mead’s and Schutz’s theories are complementary, the difficulties encountered in Mead's simplistic theory of communication are overcome in Schutz's phenomenological analyses of the everyday life world through the concepts of interpretative and expressive schemes, and of the relationship of We or the mutual tuning in relationship.

Over the past few years, motivational research on language learning has focused on how learners see language knowledge as a medium and part of their inherent identity. This article presents a study that explores the significance of personal growth as a motivator for Indonesian university students learning Arabic and English. The research employs qualitative interviews to collect data and thoroughly examines the role of personal growth in student motivation. In analysis methods, the study emphasizes its comprehensive approach to investigating personal growth's role in student motivation while thoroughly examining the collected information. Next, this article will present the main findings and argue that personal growth and the desire of Indonesian students to broaden their horizons strongly motivate them to further their education in Saudi Arabia. Finally, the article ends by finding that language and culture courses should be designed around relevant topics related to students' experiences and memories, thus allowing reflection and course content to present new ideas to students who sometimes might challenge their views.

The health of perinatal women is critical to maternal well-being and infant development. Understanding how perinatal women seek health information is essential for providing effective antenatal and postnatal care. However, there is a lack of systematic reviews on this topic. This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive literature review of existing research following the PRISMA-SCR guidelines. The results showed that perinatal women commonly seek pregnancy-related health information. Interpersonal sources were identified as the primary and most trusted sources of information. The study also identified various factors and barriers that influence health information seeking, including individual, socio-cultural, structural, and information-related factors, with personal responsibility for health being an influential factor that has not been emphasized previously. It provides valuable insights into the health information seeking behavior of perinatal women. The influence of personal health responsibility, social power dynamics and socio-cultural norms on health information seeking needs to be further investigated.

“Digital humanities” is about the usage of computer-assisted tools to preserve knowledge and disseminate them through technological resources. An extension of these techniques can be seen in today’s hyper realistic games with high-concept storytelling. These games immerse the players in a world that enables them to experience a different reality and often ask them to make choices that have real-life social impact. They have empowered artists to create worlds that could become a testing ground for philosophical theories. This paper concentrates on the impact of gaming on real-world ethical and political questions. This paper primarily focuses on the impact of The Last of Us Part II- an action-adventure game developed by Naughty dog- on the discussion of the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters on already existing IP (Intellectual Property). The response that the game received among the players can be used to understand the general perspective of these elite communities on LGBTQ+ issues. This paper also includes the positive impact of such inclusion and argues that the diversification of characters in already existing IP substantially contributes to inclusivity and equality.
“数字人文”是指利用计算机辅助工具保存知识,并通过技术资源传播知识。这些技术的延伸可以在当今具有高概念故事叙述的超现实游戏中看到。这些游戏让玩家沉浸在一个能够让他们体验不同现实的世界中,并经常要求他们做出具有现实社会影响的选择。它们赋予艺术家创造可能成为哲学理论试验场的世界的能力。本文主要关注游戏对现实世界伦理和政治问题的影响。本文主要关注Naughty dog开发的动作冒险游戏《the Last of Us Part II》对现有IP(知识产权)中LGBTQ+角色的影响。玩家对游戏的反应可以用来了解这些精英群体对LGBTQ+问题的总体看法。本文还包含了这种包容性的积极影响,并认为已经存在的IP中角色的多样化极大地促进了包容性和平等。

All-for-one tourism is a newly proposed concept that aims to promote the transformation of national tourism development in China. Few research studies have focused on the current industry practice of all-for-one tourism in China. A qualitative case study, grounded in an interpretivist paradigm, was conducted to investigate the status quo of all-for-one tourism development in Meishan City, China. In-depth interviews were conducted with 15 local travel influencers based on opinion leadership theory. Thematic content analysis was utilized to analyze study data. Study findings revealed that implementing all-for-one tourism was limited by the lack of a clear tourism strategy, uncoordinated development, and low-quality public services. But efforts had been made to support all-for-one tourism in the public service system, tourism supply chain, tourism market order, destination brand strategy, and marketing effectiveness.

The appearance of significant transnational information processes has given rise to new threats to international security, such as information warfare. The problem of employing information warfare, which has become particularly acute and relevant, can be observed through the example of the full-scale war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Numerous information attacks by the aggressor country in the form of fake news dissemination confirm this. The latter requires in-depth study for the development of countermeasures, the application of combat algorithms, and the organization of modern information security. This article aims to introduce a methodology of information security based on several advanced defensive administrative measures, including a review of a series of response cycles to information attacks, mainly when conducted through hybrid and information technologies in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Given the rapid dynamics of contemporary information processes and associated information threats, a complex set of countermeasures is necessary enabling an effective response to threats and timely prediction. The research methodology is based on general scientific and empirical methods of analysis and scientific cognition, including observation, systemic analysis, classification, scientific abstraction, statistical analysis, analogy, graphical generalization, and systematization. According to the results of the conducted research, it has been established that the distribution of managerial decisions into "fast" and "slow" allows for combining response to attacks with information accumulation to identify the most vulnerable elements and predict future information warfare. In particular, a process of responding to information attacks consisting of several stages of administrative measures has been proposed. Attention is given to the need to consider the initial data for further use in each relevant war period when repeating the cycle following the completion of the specified four-step countermeasure algorithm. Additionally, it has been identified that transmitting data on unlawful aggressor attacks to the information collection system requires careful planning and coordination among various operations and structures. The authors have substantiated and proposed the necessity and application of coordinated administrative measures among information security entities.

The purpose of this case study was to determine how migration affected Afghan culture and cultural relations among Afghan immigrants who lived in Germany. It examined the problems faced by Afghan immigrants, their coping mechanisms, and the preservation of their cultural identity. A qualitative study methodology was utilized, and in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 Afghan migrants residing in various German cities. Secondary data was obtained through literature reviews and other relevant sources, while primary data was gathered from the interviews. To identify significant findings and patterns related to the study's objectives, a thematic analysis was performed using NVivo 12. The study revealed that language limitations, cultural differences, and discrimination posed significant obstacles for Afghan migrants in their cross-cultural communication efforts. However, through community groups, cultural events, and educational initiatives, they actively participated in preserving their cultural heritage. The results underscored the importance of cultural awareness, empathy, and tolerance in fostering intercultural understanding and facilitating integration. Consequently, practical recommendations were proposed, including expanding Afghan immigrants ' access to language instruction, cultural resources, and support systems. Creating a welcoming environment also necessitated the development of strong bonds between German residents and Afghan migrants. This study contributes to the field of intercultural communication and offers guidance to practitioners and policymakers seeking to integrate Afghan immigrants into German society.

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that Ukraine is under the influence of military aggression, and ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language under such conditions is a fundamental guarantee of its national security and state sovereignty. The purpose of the study is to examine the peculiarities of the Ukrainian language as the state language in two aspects: as a sign and communication system and as a system that performs a practical social role in society. The subject of the study is the state language as an important element of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people and a prerequisite for the formation of its national identity. The methodological basis of the study is general (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction) and special (methods of collecting information and processing it, methods of forecasting and modeling) means of scientific knowledge. The research resulted in the argumentation that an extremely important factor in solving the problem of achieving national unity is the national language, which should be spoken by the entire population of the country, since the language in which a person not only communicates but also thinks, at the subconscious level, also forms spiritual values corresponding to a particular language. It is the unity of language, spiritual values, and cultural heritage that is a prerequisite for ensuring the national unity of a country and the formation of its nation's identity. The conclusion of the study is that the State language is the most important part of the national wealth of Ukraine and therefore should be under special protection by the State as one of the objects of the system of ensuring the national security of the country.

Instagram has emerged as one of the most popular social media platforms. This study examined Instagram usage of young adults in an emerging market, South Africa. The research sought to establish the extent to which Instagram usage may affect self-esteem among young consumers in emerging markets. A conceptual model has been developed based on identified factors such as Instagram usage, emotional investment in Instagram, self-efficacy, sense of community and self-esteem. 361 active Instagram users were selected through convenience sampling and the feedback they provided was processed for insights. Descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to investigate the interrelationships between the constructs. Implications for marketers include promoting adequate use of Instagram and making users aware of the potential threats of its excessive usage.
