Maskne is a pimple that occurs as a result of using a mask with hot ingredients and using it for too long. Maskne is a new term that comes from the word mask plus acne. According to dermatologists, the continuous use of masks causes a build-up of bacteria and dirt that clogs the skin pores and triggers acne and other skin problems. The reason is, the skin area around the cheeks and chin does not get air circulation because it is covered by a mask. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization require the use of masks for all people around the world to prevent exposure to the Corona virus which causes COVID-19 infection. However, there are effects from using this mask in the form of pimples and other facial skin irritations. The Maskne triggered by infection of Propionylbacterium acnes which plays a role in irritation of the follicular epithelium and facilitates the occurrence of Maskne. Medical treatment is mostly done is by giving topical and oral antibiotics which are relatively more expensive and can cause side effects. As an alternative medicine in the community, dzariroh (Acorus calamus L.) can be used which has been scientifically proven to have antibacterial activity. Dzarirah is a type of plant that is mentioned in the hadith to treat the acne of the wife of Rasulullah SAW. The prophet's wives told that one day the Prophet met them. Rasulullah then saw among them a kind of pimple grew. Rasulullah then asked, "Do you have the perfume of dzarirah ?." They said they had. Rasulullah said, "Put your pimples on while reading a prayer, 'O Allah, who reduce the large and the small ones, reduce my acne'." The α and β asarone compounds are antimicrobial compounds that can inhibit the growth of P. acne bacteria. The results showed that dzarirah oil could inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria at a concentration of 2.5% while killing at a concentration of 25%. Dzarirah oil is effective in inhibiting the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria at a concentration of 2.5% and is a MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration). Dzarirah oil is proven to be effective in killing Propionibacterium acnes bacteria at a concentration of 25% and is an MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concentration).

Background: Breast Self-Examination is process whereby women examine their breasts regularly to detect any abnormal swelling or lumps in order to seek prompt medical attention. Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women globally and the second commonest cancer overall. The aim of this study was to assess practice of breast self-examination and associated factors among Health science female students at Ambo University in 2019. Methodology: - Institutional based cross-sectional survey was carried out among Health science female students at Ambo University in 2019. Data was collected by using a pre tested and pretested self-administered questionnaires. The response was systematically tabulated and analyzed using SPSS version 20, and explanations were given separately. Result- A total of 150 respondents participated in the study, of these 80 (53.3%) of them had good knowledge and only 67(44.7%) of the respondents had practiced BSE before. Among study participants whose families had breast cancer, practice BSE 2.12 times more than study participants whose families didn’t have his tory of breast cancer (AOR=2.12; 95% CI, 1.09–3.95, P=0.044). Those who had good knowledge toward BSE were 5.5 times more likely to practice BSE than those who had poor knowledge (AOR=9.5; 95% CI, 5.5–18.8, P=0.002). Conclusions- The overall knowledge of female students towards breast self-examination was 62%. This study showed that only 67(44.7%) of the study participants ever practiced BSE. The independeent predictors of breast self examination was family history of breast cancer and knowledge how to perform breast self examination.

Almost every day, patients come to the doctor's office complaining of a feeling of choking in the chest, lack of air at rest, with minor or major exertion and a feeling of tightness in the neck. Dizziness, vertigo, or an accelerated heartbeat, which can be intermittent or continuous throughout the day and night, are often associated with the aforementioned complaints. Such patients are usually frightened because they feel the fear of choking.

Aging vs Productivity in Asia: A Sociological Appraisal

Aging as a gift is widely awarded to most nations in the world. It has positive as well as negative qualities. When people get aged, they get rid of routine duties of life before old age. At the same time, they physically and mentally get weak and frail. They usually have to depend on other family members, or nursing homes. During their old age, they are very fragile. Aging people are mentally very vulnerable. They get dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and when one spouse usually dies earlier, the remaining spouse highly suffers loneliness. Aging being a controversial problem, needs psycho-social solutions. Asia wise the poorer countries are more involved with aging people who are away of productivity. Such people in Asia usually do not receive any pensions which is the worst situation for the elderly people. According to the studies done in many parts of Asia, many retirees still want to work somehow or the other. However, the age range of 50 years and above does not much effect on increasing productivity.

A Rare Case of ALCAPA in Adult Asymptomatic Patient and Unusual Collateral Circulation: A Case Report

Anomalous Origin of the Left Coronary Artery from Pulmonary Artery (ALCAPA) syndrome is a rare congenital anomaly where the left main coronary artery arises from the pulmonary artery (PA) and the right coronary artery (RCA) originates normally from the aorta. The rapid decrease in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) soon after birth reverses the blood flow to the PA resulting in a left to right shunt and severe left ventricle (LV) ischemia. Left untreated, this congenital anomaly is associated with premature death. Rarely, some patients can survive to adult age due to development of collateral circulation usually from an ecstatic RCA. Most adult patients with ALCAPA die at mean age of 35 years. Very few cases were reported in the literature to survive until late 40s or 50s. We present the case of ALCAPA in an asymptomatic 54-year-old woman who found to have unusual collateral circulation justifying the absence of significant symptoms. Our patient underwent surgical correction with good results. We also review cases of ALCAPA that has been reported in the literature and we summarize treatment strategies. Learning objective: recognition of ALCAPA as one of coronary anomalies in adults even in asymptomatic individuals and recognition of the best diagnostic modality and the optimal management according to available literature.
