Fluvial islands are very changeable areas once they have vertical accretion by sediment from the flood as the same time as suffer erosion by channel flow. This factor acts directly over the characteristics of their vegetal cover in terms of composition and successional stages. In an island of the Upper Paraná River a floristic composition survey was performed in order to evaluate the plant succession stage of three forest fragments. The study areas were: Forest 1, an abandoned pasture under successional process over the last 10 years; Forest 2, a 55-year-old primary forest settled over a sand bar; and Forest 3, a fragment of a remaining forest. Floristic composition analysis showed that island soil has disturbed by trampling cattle reflecting on the species settlement throughout the successional process.

MicroRNAs (miRNA) are small (21-24 nucleotides) noncoding RNAs which are involved in negative posttranscriptional regulation of gene expression. One miRNA molecule can have up to hundreds of target mRNAs and one mRNA can be regulated by multiple miRNAs, creating a complex regulatory network in the body/organism [1].Changes in intracellular miRNA levels affect gene expression, alter cell signaling, and significantly affect cellular metabolism. They regulate physiological processes including cell differentiation, regeneration and apoptosis, as well as pathological processes such as neoplastic transformation of cells. Therefore, it is not surprising that aberrant miRNA expression is involved in the pathogenesis of many diseases including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. To this day, more than 2,500 different microRNAs have been described in various documents [2-7].

Sweet potato is important sources of carbohydrates, vitamins A and C, fiber, iron, potassium, and protein, potato is also used as animal feed. Increasing recognition of the great potential of the sweet potato crop as a nutritious food for humans and animals has resulted in intensified research efforts to enhance production and consumption. Sweet potato is sensitive to water deficits particularly during the establishment period including vine development and storage root initiation. However, drought is often a major environmental constraint for sweet potato production in areas where it is grown under rain fed conditions. Different cultivars may respond differently to limited quantities of soil water. Selection for good cultivar performance under drought conditions is thus considered to be of major importance.

Epigenetics is the study of heritable changes in gene expression that happen without any change in the DNA sequence. The main epigenetic mechanisms, including DNA methylation, histone modifications, and microRNA expression, can be caused by environmental reasons. The aim of this work explains that epigenetic modifications may be due to effects of environmental stress on plant growth and productivity. The study of epigenetic-based mechanisms in the plant is an emerging field; gene expressions are modulated and reprogrammed in response to environmental stress challenges. Due to increasing global population, in the same time the availability of arable lands is decreased regularly and the severe effects of climate change problem, therefore, it is essential to understand the mechanisms that plants have progressed to adapt with varied environments stress, and in particular how plant types adapt with various kinds of biotic and abiotic stress. The main role of epigenetics study is understanding the role of the epigenetic component in regulates plant gene expression and the plant phenotype, and how the epigenome workings as a great source of diversity for main agronomical characters and on how it could use, in crop breeding and implementation programs, it would be of benefit to humanity for next era, numerous papers have studied the effects of environmental exposures and epigenetic markers that modify epigenetic states of plants and refers those epigenetic modifications may be one of the mechanisms by which abiotic stress can have positive effects on plant growth.

Research and publications which marks how scholarly a university faculty is, has remained the vital tools for measuring academic visibility of a university and that of faculty. Online social network tools notwithstanding, quality journals remain the most efficient tool to Project University and faculty to global visibility. In this paper, statistical model equations for measuring academic visibility of faculty (AVF) and that of university (AVU) have been formulated as a novel contribution. This new mathematical method unlike the traditional citation and scientometric methods is fast and provided a score board where 3.0 4.0 represents high to excellent visibility. 2.0-2.9 is good to very good visibility, 1.0 -1.9 is fair visibility while 0.0 to 0.9 is zero to low visibility. University Library should take the challenge of measuring and promoting academic visibility while faculty is obliged to submit their publications to the university library annually.

pteridophyte are the vascular plant that reproduces by the spores (heterospory) and therefore was a member of the former and now Pteridophyta . The term is now used only informally to denote a fern. Because pteridophytes produce neither flowers nor seeds, they are also referred to as “cryptogams”, they are the true lands plants. They are classified by the various way, but overall four of the classes are termed and recognised, these are the Psilopsida, lycopsida, spenopsioda, pteriopsida. Here in this review article we are presenting some of the aspects of the fern Helminthostachys . The genus is related to the family ohiogloaasaceae, the genus consists of the two species, these are termed as the Helminthostays Mexicana, Helminthostacys zeylinica
