One should act on the level of the causes and not the effects. Cancer does not come by coincidence, it does not come out of nowhere. There is usually a chain of prerequisites or conditions that can be divided into somatic, mental, and psychological. If you limit yourself to only fighting the tumor, you do not change the fact that the organism produced it for a reason. Therefore, it is worth going to the level of possible causes and trying to treat and eliminate them. Such causes are, for example, toxins of chemical nature, but also mental and psychological poisons such as repressed conflicts. The purification of the body-mind-soul unity is the best cancer prevention therapy.

Introduction: Inappropriate management of splenictrauma is related to high rates of morbidity and mortality, and an effective understanding of its mechanisms is vital. Closed abdominal or thoracoabdominal trauma, such as localized contusions from various incidents, is typically the cause of splenic injuries. Splenic trauma must be promptly evaluated in the context of urgency, and a surgical approach must be performed according to the degree of injury. Methods: This is a retrospective, quantitative, and cross-sectional analysis of the medical records of operated-on patients. Results: The medical records of 50 patients were analyzed, scored, and selected based on the following variables: mechanism of trauma, clinical signs of splenic injury, splenectomy as an emergency approach, degree of injury, postoperative period, complications, sequelae, and length of stay after surgery, as well as the need for intensive care unitadmission and mortality. Data from 50 medical records of patients undergoing urgent splenectomy allowed researchers to draw the conclusion that 48% of patients had experienced splenic trauma as a result of auto accidents, and 38% of patients had Kehr's sign. Additionally, it was determined that grade III–V injuries were the most common in 70% of the cases submitted for urgent splenectomy after an anatomopathological investigation. Further, localized abscesses, the most common type of complications, were present in 50% of the patients. The average length of stay was 8 days, and 38% of the patients needed an intensive care unit. Finally, it was possible to conclude that 10% died. In terms of care, a profile has been established in which a direct and effective approach is required because, when compared with current literature, the number of patients with complications is very low when compared to patients approached conservatively, who present a degree of sequelae of 70% depending on the degree of injury. Conclusion: As a result, the demand for more effective policies that aim to reduce morbidity and mortality is reinforced. This is critical given the high frequency of instances.

Due to a lack of clarity about the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders, short and long-term treatment outcomes continue to be very inconsistent, and the prescribing of multiple medications that can have unpredictable, conflicting, and sometimes paradoxical effects continues to be more the rule than the exception in modern psychiatric practice. Dosing is also an issue, as standard doses of psychotropic drugs are often too high, thus causing some patients to incur unnecessary side effects, which in turn can lead to poor compliance or even discontinuation of treatment. Worse yet, these negative outcomes can cause disappointed patients to dissuade other would-be patients from seeking treatment. Recognizing these concerns and the fact that most persons with mental illness never seek treatment to begin with, the need for greater precision and fewer side effects in the prescribing of psychotropic drugs cannot be overstated. Based on an emerging hypothesis on the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders, this article will discuss a promising new approach to psychopharmacotherapy that has the potential to simplify drug selection, reduce dosing requirements, and minimize side effects. By targeting the core physiological abnormality in psychiatric disorders, the use of medications that have unpredictable, conflicting, and sometimes paradoxical effects can be minimized, and the lowest doses of the most appropriate drugs can be used to achieve faster, more consistent, and more enduring therapeutic effects in a group of disorders that are now considered to be a public health crisis.

Juvenile GM1-gangliosidosis, also known as type II or juvenile GM1-gangliosidosis, is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder that clinically differs from infantile GM1-gangliosidosis in the absence of the characteristic cherry-red patch and hepatosplenomegaly. The disease is characterized by mild skeletal abnormalities and slowly progressing neurodegeneration. Due to the late age of onset and unusual presentation, diagnostic confusion with other ataxic and purely neurological disorders is common. There are currently 3–4 recognized types of GM1-gangliosidosis, with type I being the most prevalent phenotype with an average onset age of 6 months. Several subtypes of GM1-gangliosidosis are caused by mutations in the GLB1 gene, but the location and type of deleterious mutations have a direct impact on the severity of the disease and the age at which it manifests. A fully immunized 8-month-old male presented to our hospital with complaints of mild feeding difficulty, periorbital edema, and fever. Facial dysmorphism, hypotonia, delayed development, and hepatomegaly were observed in the patient. As there is currently no effective treatment for GM1 gangliosidosis, the carrier of the disease receives only symptomatic and palliative care. Given that genetic counseling is now the only means of preventing the disease, early diagnosis is crucial.

Due to the lack of a clear distinction between mentally-driven psychiatric symptoms and neurologically-driven psychiatric symptoms, determining which patients would best be treated with psychotherapy, which patients would best be treated with pharmacotherapy, and which patients would best be treated with both is a challenge that every behavioral health clinician faces. In an effort to overcome this challenge, this article will discuss the anatomical and functional relationship between the mind and the brain as it relates to the various treatment options that are currently available and introduce a groundbreaking new paradigm that is destined to transform the treatment of mental illness from a symptom-based practice to a pathology-based practice. In addition to putting the assessment and treatment of mental illness on par with other medication specialties, the new paradigm ushers in the first objective way to distinguish biologically-based psychiatric symptoms from psychologically-based psychiatric symptoms. This is of critical importance because it has the potential streamline treatment, better define the target for treatment, and more accurately inform the planning of treatment. It also has the potential to improve patient education and treatment outcomes by better explaining how psychotherapy works, how pharmacotherapy works, and how these two treatment modalities can complement or, in some cases, antagonize each other. Beyond all of these advantages, the new paradigm offers the potential to ward off psychiatric symptoms before they even begin. With the prevalence of psychiatric and substance use disorders at epidemic proportions, these long-awaited advances could not be more timely.

The study of genetic mutations in tumours changes the therapeutic approach; in fact, we move into a different advanced and strategic phase by entering personalized precision medicine and shifting the focus from the tissue study of the tumour to the modification and proliferation of neoplastic cells. The therapeutic programs, especially in oncology, are changing. We are in a phase of transition from the histological model to the model of genetic mutation (mutation). When a person's immune defences do not respond to a disease it is because the body cannot produce or activate specific lymphocytes and antibodies against that disease. This causes of a lack of therapeutic response or recurrence of the disease. A fundamental role is played by genomic tests, which are carried out directly on the neoplastic tissue and other modifies tissues, and the dosage of toxic substances (heavy metals, dioxins, furans, PCBs, etc.) analysed 'primarily' in the tumour and subsequently in the various biological matrices (tissues, modified, blood, urine, hair, nails, breast milk, saliva, etc.) as well as genetic tests. A significant role is a search for toxic substances and therapeutic integration of trace elements beneficial for cellular metabolism, especially for defence mechanisms, absent or deficient in these patients, such as Copper, Selenium, Zinc, Cobalt, Iron, and Manganese to improve or modify a lack of therapeutic response. Another parameter to consider is hyperglycaemia in diabetic subjects, which according to various scientific research, is considered a personal risk factor not so much in the formation phase of the neoplastic disease, but in the healing response phase.

Non-Hodgkins lymphomas are malignant lymphatic tumors, mainly affecting B cells. Generally occur in children and young adults with different forms of treatment, however most treatments are accompanied by tumoral relapse.Recently, many researches have been made to identify the best treatment with positive long-term outcomes. In that regard, CAR-T cell treatment has been recognized for its accessibility and effect, it utilizes T cells with chimeric antigen receptors, facilitating cancerous cells detection after non-response to the regular R-CHOP treatment. As data-base 26 research papers were found, with 23 of them being utilized.

In Japan, which is a super-aged society, people need the nursingcare foods in recent years. For the prevention of aspiration pneumonia, there is a demand for safe and delicious nursing care foodfor not only patients but also senior citizen. To create food for swallowing that can be easily prepared even at ordinary homes, among the previous studies that have already been reported, using a type of universal design food, but that can be crushed with the tongue, for which the results have not yet been shown, is suitable or not for nursing care food is not sure. To obtain theviscosity, we investigated using eight types of thickeners and reported them. After adding 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g of each of the eight types of thickeners to commercially available shrimp gratin, a line spread test (LST) was performed using a superficial thickness measuring plate (manufactured by Saraya Co., Ltd.). As a result, by adding 1 g, it was possible to obtain a thick viscosity of 30 mm or more and less than 32 mm, which is thought to promote safe swallowing. Eight kinds of thickeners are commercially available products containing xanthan gum, among which the thickener containing xanthan gum, calcium lactate, and trisodium citrate showed the highest viscosity. In the future, it will be necessary to investigate the effects of thickeners on universal design foods (UDF) that can be crushed with the tongue and have different nutritional values.
