The development of a child encompasses the definition, measurement, and assessment of the expected normal patterns at each growth stage corresponding to their age. The child's passivity in response to stimuli has wide-ranging effects on a variety of domains, including communication skills and, consequently, cognitive, motor, and social development. Additionally, excessive screen time has a negative impact on the sleep-wake cycle, which in turn affects learning capacity and attention, as well as the risk of heart disease and depression. The lack of outdoor activities is closely linked to the growing trend of remote learning, which has resulted in an increased substitution of these activities with online games and video apps. Additionally, the use of electronic devices for more than three hours daily is associated with the worsening of symptoms related to ADHD, anxiety, and parental stress. However, following the COVID-19p and emic and the wide spread adoption of remote learning, screen time has significantly increased, making parental control more challenging, while the absence of physical activities has been exacerbated during this period, potentially leading to future consequences.

This study explored the existing relationships between Advanced HIV Disease (AHD), Tuberculosis (TB), and Cryptococcal Antigen (CrAg) among People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. This was achieved by investigating the relationship and prevalence of TB and CrAg among individuals diagnosed with AHD in Nasarawa State; and by assessing the distribution and association of demographic characteristics of the study population with TB and Cryptococcal Antigen. This study employed a cross-sectional survey design, sampling respondents across different demographics at the same time. The study sample were individuals who are currently receiving antiretroviral treatment from our healthcare facilities in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Results showed that TB and CrAg has low prevalence among the study population, however, compared to a larger population, this will be a serious concern. The study also suggest that the demographic information of the study population had no significant relationship on the development or presence of TB or CrAg, however, the study was ableto establish that PLHIVs who had AHD were mostly women (59.8%) in the State. Recommendation were made based on the study findings and the study concluded that the existing relationships among the study variables were not impacted significantly by either age or gender of the population.

This paper is based on a general analysis of pneumoconiosis and how it is related to work. Breathing in solid particles can cause the lung disease pneumoconiosis. The inhalation of solid particles is what causes it. Exposure to particles such as asbestos, silica, and coal dust is discussed as a central factor in the genesis of the disease, resulting in complex and specific inflammatory and repair processes for each etiologic agent. The methodological design was a comprehensive literature review between the years 2000 and 2023; the texts chosen were in the English language and searched in PubMed and SciELO databases. Coal dust in mining represents a risk, especially for workers in coal transportation and use, as well as for those involved in mineral excavation and mining. Silicosis, a disease linked to miners, resurfaces due to a lack of understanding of modern work practices.

This literature review focuses on the analysis of renal denervation therapy as a potential treatment for difficult-to-control hypertension. Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) is a prevalent condition with various approaches to achieving control, including life style modifications, pharmacological interventions, and surgical treatments. The fluctuations in blood pressure within the kidneys occur due to the stimulation or inhibition of sensory and motor pathways in the renal nerves. Each of these modifications is linked to the underlying condition in the progression of hypertension. The employed methodology involves the ablation of renal afferent and efferent nerves using a catheter through percutaneous intervention facilitated by ultrasound.

This review of the literature examines the use of antiepileptic medications and how they relate to gut microbiota. Relationships exist between the makeup of the intestinal microbiota and the development and execution of the most fundamental physiological processes. Additionally, it affects the functioning of the central nervous system (CNS) by interacting with the microbiota-intestine-brain axis. The use of pharmaceutical medication is one of the factors that can alter the composition of the gut microbiota. When treating epilepsy, various drug types are used, each with a different mechanism of action. Among the medications in question are to piramate, primidone, phenytoin, carbamazepine, and phenobarbital. The similarity in structure and function between enteric and nerve cells establishes the connection between the brain and the gut. Valproic acid significantly reduced intestinal inflammation in research involving rats with colitis. Its limited ability to treat seizures in these circumstances may be due to the enterocytes limited ability to absorb this medicine. The study came to the conclusion that colitis patients and people with healthy gut, brain, and microbiota interactions typically respond better to antiepileptics and anticonvulsants than people with imbalances in this axis. These imbalances can result in a lower seizure threshold and an increased frequency of epileptic seizures.

Introduction: Understanding that cancer is a pathology that is challenging to detect, treat, and comprehend is what makes the study of cancer so important. The goal of this case study is to show how a 20-year-old woman was affected by a variety of factors and symptoms that, when combined, raised suspicion of Ewing's sarcoma, the second most common primary tumor in children and young adults.
