The Relationship between Mindfulness and Psychological Well-being and Coping Strategies with Stress among Female Basketball Athletes in Tehran 德黑兰女子篮球运动员正念与心理健康及压力应对策略的关系

Introduction: The well-being and satisfaction with life are two indicators of mental health. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between mindfulness and psychological well-being, and coping strategies with stress in female basketball athletes in Tehran. Methods and Materials: Among all women basketball athletes in Tehran in 2016, two-hundred and fifty women were randomly selected. All samples completed Lazarus and Folkman coping strategies questionnaire, Ryff Psychological well-being Questionnaire and Freiburg Mindfulness Inventory. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression inSpss-22. Original Research Article Fazli and Ghahari; BJPR, 17(2): 1-8, 2017; Article no.BJPR.34105 2 Results: The results confirmed the hypothesis of this study and suggested a significant positive relationship between the components of mindfulness and psychological well-being, and coping with stress strategies (p<0.01). Conclusion: There was a significant positive relationship between components of mindfulness and psychological well-being, and coping strategies with stress.

Comparative Study for In-vitro Evaluation of Metronidazole Prepared Using Natural Chitosan from Oyster Shells of Egeria radiata 天然壳聚糖制备甲硝唑体外评价的比较研究

Objective: The present study investigates the capability of preparing metronidazole loaded microspheres employing a natural chitosan extracted from oyster shells of Egeria radiata. Methods: Microspheres were prepared by external gelation technique using tripolyphosphate (TPP) as the cross-linker. The drug to polymer ratio was selected at various levels of polymer-drug quantities with varying amount of TPP. The prepared microspheres were characterized for % yield, drug entrapment efficiency, surface morphology and drug release profile. Results: Almost spherical, rough and porous microspheres were obtained. % yield and drug entrapment efficiency were found to be in the range of 63.5 – 70.8% and 63.4 – 77.5% respectively; and about 80% of the drug was released in about 6 hours. Conclusion: The results revealed that formulation of metronidazole loaded microspheres in natural chitosan from an oyster shell can be used as a potential oral drug delivery system. Anti-Mycobacterium Metabolite from Marine Sponge Iricinia fusca 海海绵鸢尾抗分枝杆菌代谢物

Chemical investigation of the marine sponge Ircinia fusca leads to isolation of a new pyrrole derivative (1) and two known compounds namely, 3 methyl decanoic acid (2) and Benzenedicarboxylic acid (3). The structures of compounds were established by 1D and 2D NMR and MS data. Compound 1 exhibited strong antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium smegmatis at MIC 116 μM. Compounds 1-3 showed neither antifungal nor cytotoxic activity.

Antiangiogenic and Apoptotic Effects of Oleuropein on Breast Cancer Cells 橄榄苦苷对乳腺癌细胞的抗血管生成和凋亡作用

Oleuropein is a fundamental polyphenol contained in olive fruit, oil, and leaf, with a bitter taste. A decrease in its level is observed as the fruit ripens. Leaves of oil tree were used in this study as a possible origin of oleuropein. In this study, cytotoxic, genotoxic, apoptotic and antiangiogenic impacts of isolated oleuropein (0.5xIC50, IC50 and 2xIC50) on MCF-7 human breast adenocarcinoma cells were examined by means of 3-[4,5Dimethylthiazol-2-yl] 1-2,5diphenyltetrazolium bromide (XTT) kit, Comet assay, Poly (ADP-Ribose) Polymerase (PARP) cleavage ELISA Kit and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) Human ELISA Kit for 24, 48 and 72 h, respectively. The IC50 value of oleuropein on MCF-7 cells was found to be 11.02±0.52, 9.43±0.41 and 6.81±0.18 μg/mL for 24, 48 and 72 h, respectively. The time and concentrationrelated cytotoxic impacts of oleuropein were determined to be significant.
