A hybrid modulation strategy for voltage fed converters with multiple parallel legs 具有多个并联支路的电压馈电变换器的混合调制策略

This paper presents a hybrid modulation strategy for voltage fed converters with multiple parallel magnetically coupled legs. The proposed hybrid modulation strategy combines the benefits of space vector, such as switching sequences flexibility and the simplicity of the modulation based on the geometric approach. As a result, it is possible to obtain multilevel equivalent voltages, as well as the equal sharing among the converter leg currents. In addition, the virtual vector concept is used which leads to the determination of the voltage limits required to impose the equal sharing among the leg currents and to avoid the saturation of the coupled inductor. Finally, simulation and experimental results show the good performance and flexibility of the proposed hybrid modulation technique.

An optimal fuzzy logic controller for an underactuated unicycle 欠驱动独轮车的最优模糊逻辑控制器

In this paper, we propose a hybrid design method for fuzzy logic controller (FLC), where the control objective for unicycle is to achieve velocity control of the wheel while keep the pendulum at the balanced position that is an unstable equilibrium. The hybrid design consists of three phases. First, FLC structure including the number of rules, membership function, inference, and parametric relations, are chosen based on heuristic knowledge about the unicycle. Then, based on a linearized model and linear feedback, the output parameters of FLC are determined quantitatively for the stabilization of the unicycle. Next, fine tuning of FLC output parameters are carried out using an iterative learning tuning (ILT) algorithm, where ILT iteratively minimizes an objective function that specifies the desired unicycle performance. The rationale of introducing the hybrid FLC design is to fully utilize available information, which is achieved by combining model-based and model-free designs, hence improve FLC performance. Through intensive simulations and comparisons, the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid FLC is validated.

Real-time simulation and control of reluctance motor drives for high speed operation with reduced torque ripple 低转矩脉动磁阻电机高速运行实时仿真与控制

This paper presents real-time simulation results of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive with a novel Torque Distribution Function (TDF) for high-speed applications, in order to reduce torque ripple. The SRM is fed by a three-phase unidirectional power converter having three legs, each of which consist of two IGBTs and two free-wheeling diodes. The SRM model incorporates all non-linearities between excitation currents, rotor position and flux linkages. For the purpose of control SRM drives, an improvement of the TDF method is proposed for high-speed applications, in order to reduce torque ripple. The real-time simulation of the drive is conducted on the RT-LAB realtime simulation platform. Since the converter is current-controlled, the simulator latency is critical to achieving good accuracy and to avoiding current overshoot. The paper demonstrates that this type of drive with simple hysteresis current control can be simulated in real-time at a time-step of 15µs, with good accuracy. The paper also introduces FPGA-based simulation technology required to test advanced algorithms like TDF.

Using a power-dependent small-signal model for stability analysis in resonant dimming ballasts for fluorescent lamps 用功率相关的小信号模型分析荧光灯谐振调光镇流器的稳定性

One important aspect for the design of dimming ballasts for fluorescent lamps is the output power range that can be obtained. Some applications require that the output power can be reduced below 10%. However, in some ballast designs, there is no easy way to reduce the output power to the required minimum level without finding instabilities that could lead to light flicker, audible noise or arc extinction. In this paper, a new power-dependent small-signal model for fluorescent lamps is presented. This model is based in a double-pole double-zero approximation. The generalized multifrequency averaging technique is then used to analyze the lamp-ballast interaction in resonant inverters. This method was used to calculate the actual dimming range in two of the most widely used resonant configurations for a 26W compact fluorescent lamp.

Zoom-in front-end circuit for high-performance capacitive displacement sensors 高性能电容式位移传感器的放大前端电路

We report an integrated front-end circuit for capacitive displacement sensors, suitable for measuring small displacements, superimposed on a much larger stand-off distance between the sensing and the target electrodes. In order to cancel the effect of the resulting offset capacitance, a circuit technique called electrical zoom-in is applied in the interfacing circuit. The zoom-in front-end can achieve an input referred capacitance resolution of 28 aF (RMS) from a sensor with nominal capacitance of 10 pF with a measurement latency of only 5 us.

Combination of PCBMEMS and laser ablation to construct inexpensive accelerometers 结合PCBMEMS与激光烧蚀构造廉价的加速度计

The combination of standard Printed Circuit Board (PCB) techniques with laser ablation of the PCB substrate can lead to the creation of inexpensive but effective MEMS sensors. In this paper, these fabrication techniques are used to construct capacitive accelerometers with a suspended proof-mass. The proof-mass and the supporting springs are etched out of copper using standard photolithography, and they are released using selective laser ablation of the substrate. Later, the structure is bonded to another PCB by soldering with a hot plate. All the processing electronics can also be integrated in the same PCB. The total cost of the fabrication process is very low, and the experimental results show correct behavior.

Repetitive controller design for uninterruptible power supplies: An LMI approach 不间断电源的重复控制器设计:LMI方法

This paper proposes a semidefinite programming approach for designing repetitive controllers applied to uninterruptible power supplies. Considering a state space realization of a standard repetitive controller, Lyapunov-Krasovskii stabilization design conditions are cast in terms of linear matrix inequalities which are numerically solved by standard software packages. These conditions ensure the closed-loop stability for a set of admissible loads which is supposed known a priori. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design conditions.

DVR with open-end winding transformer 带开式绕组变压器的DVR

This paper presents a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) obtained through a series connection of two three-phase inverters. Such connection is obtained due to open-end winding arrangement of the transformer. As done in a conventional configuration, the proposed one aims to regulate the voltage at the load terminal in the case of sags/swell, distortion, or unbalance in the grid voltage. A suitable control strategy is presented, as well as the operating principles, characteristics and a comparison between the proposed and conventional configurations. The main advantages of the proposed topology are: a) reduced harmonic distortion (operating at the same switching frequency), b) reduced converter losses (operating with the same harmonic distortion), and c) fault tolerance capability. The proposed DVR system is suitable for medium voltage application. Simulated and experimental results are also presented.

Analysis of control strategies and dynamic behaviour of CliffRider: The single wheeled abseiling face inspection robot CliffRider单轮降面检测机器人控制策略及动力学行为分析

This paper details the derivation of a 3D dynamic model for simulation, which supported the development of the CliffRider concept; a novel robotic system that has the capability of abseiling steep, crater like terrain. The CliffRider system comprises an autonomous single wheeled platform, tethered by two winches mounted on the plateau of the cliff of descent. The simulation integrates the state variable rates derived from discrete evaluation of highly non-linear equations of motion. Equations of motion are derived from the principles of Lagrangian Dynamics with non-holonomic constraints. Simulation results reveal the effectiveness of two innovative control strategies aimed at stabilising the statically unstable system; improving CliffRider's inclined locomotion capability.

The electrical parameters of a low pressure ferrite-free inductively coupled discharge have been investigated. In the experiment plasma can be considered as a one-turn secondary load of an air-core transformer. The electrical conductivity ratio between the image part and the real part σi/σr can be obtained through calculating Maxwell equations. The electrical characteristics can be obtained by the calculation of the equivalent circuit.
