The Employment of Antecedent Strategy for Managing Behavior Challenges in EFL Classroom 先行策略在英语课堂行为挑战管理中的应用

Antecedent strategy as a part of the evidence-based practice is obtained through the process of students interfering behaviour analysis. This part of evidence-based practice which also named as antecedent-based intervention has a purpose to help the teachers in managing student disruptive behavior as one of the biggest challenges in classroom management by making a significant change to the learning environment which trigger the problem behavior and expounding the behaviors that should be done by the students. The antecedent strategy is very helpful for the teacher in managing students' disruptive behavior as one of the biggest challenges in EFL classroom management. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the employment of antecedent strategy for managing behavioral challenges in EFL classroom management. The method used in this study was library research in which the data were collected through a reading process of some library sources then analyzed by integrating the obtained information and the researcher's idea to answer the purpose of this research in finding section and draw the conclusion. The findings of this study revealed that in employing the antecedent strategy in a classroom, there are three major steps that the teacher needs to follow namely conducting a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), clearly expounding the proper behavior, and effectively deciding preventive action.

International Opportunities in Higher Education Promoted by the COVID-19 Pandemic: Results of A Three-Country Teaching-Learning Experience 新冠肺炎大流行推动高等教育国际化机遇:三国教学经验的结果

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges and opportunities to teaching in higher education. The sudden pivot from in-person to online education posed unprecedented challenges to both teachers and students. At the same time, the sudden worldwide suspension of traditional ways of lecturing opened a space for experiments with innovative pedagogic approaches and techniques, including various forms of real-time inter-university exchange and student cooperation. COVID-19 pandemic caused a sudden and disruptive shift to emergency remote learning and teaching, as well as a simultaneous halt to international mobility of students, faculty and staff. These changes to established modes of teaching and learning in higher education along with the de facto end of all international mobility efforts led global health course directors from York University in Canada and Fulda University of Applied Sciences in Germany to establish a globally networked learning environment involving shared virtual lectures and international collaborative group projects. Students reported benefits of an enriched learning experience through the sharing of different perspectives, approaches and debates with international professors and peers. Coordination relating to time differences and expectations played a key role in success and overcoming challenges for collaboration among students. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that cross-border inter-university teaching and learning is a feasible and beneficial pedagogic option.

Professional Development in Technology Integration Among Teacher Educators in Ghana 加纳教师教育工作者技术整合的专业发展

In this digital era, education makes learners acquire the appropriate and relevant knowledge, attitude and skills that lead to understanding and functioning well in their digitally dominated environment. This research explored how exemplar lecturers developed competencies and skills in integrating technology for instruction. A qualitative hermeneutic phenomenology design was used for the study. In all, 20 lecturers (exemplars) out of 327 lecturers from a teacher education university in Ghana formed the sample and were interviewed by one of the researchers for ten weeks. Data were analysed using thematic coding, structural coding, pattern coding and focused coding in arriving at exemplars' experiences. The findings show that exemplars integrated ICTs such as Google Application for Educators (GAFE), Microsoft Office and Education tools, and other open-source software to make them stand out among their colleagues, as exemplars. Exemplars acquired their integration competencies through individual learning, colleagues, and online materials. The findings underscored the need for institutional facilities provision and support to deepen ICT integration in universities. Based on the results, recommendations, implications, and limitations are discussed.

Comic Media on Force Topic in Science Lessons for Grade IV Elementary School 漫画媒体对小学四年级科学课力话题的探讨

Learning media used in uncertain situations during pandemics such as today must have a flexible, efficient and practical nature.  This research aims to find out the feasibility of Comic media on the content of natural science grade IV elementary school style material. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model.  Data collection uses the questionnaire method.  Validation of assessment instruments is carried out by 3 experts consisting of content experts, design experts, and media experts and 26 students on field tests. This study obtained excellent results, as evidenced by validation results by content experts, design experts, and media experts obtained scores of 93%, 97%, and 92% respectively. While for field tests obtained a score of 92%. From these results it can be concluded that this developed comic media is suitable for use on natural science material style content for grade IV elementary school. The implication of this research is that this comic media can be used in online and offline learning.

The Demand for Feedback and its Value in a Management Accounting Course 管理会计课程对反馈的需求及其价值

Little effort has been expended on studying the role of feedback in accounting education. While most concerned consider that any precise information about students' thinking has value, such beliefs have not been empirical. They are using data generated by computerized databases that offer on-demand solutions to problems in management accounting courses. This research aims to analyze the feedback and its value in the Management Accounting course. The context for this research is an introduction to management accounting courses offered at major public universities in the Southeastern United States during the final semester. Two student sections taught by the same instructor opened 143 students majoring in accounting. The methods used to collect data are quizzes and tests. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of this research is that there is a positive relationship between the frequency of access to feedback and higher academic performance. The timing of student access to solutions depends, in a meaningful way, on mastery of the material. The longer a student waits to demand a solution, the worse their performance will be. Important feedback on the effect of effort (H3 and H4) can provide additional or alternative meaning when juxtaposed with the significance of the non-hypothesized relationship between effort and performance.

Discovery Learning in E-Book with Natural Science Lesson at Elementary School 小学自然科学课程中电子书的发现学习

This research was motivated by problems in the media and learning models that were less innovative and varied during the online learning process, so it impacted students' lack of understanding, especially on the content of science lessons. This study aims to develop an e-book based on discovery learning for elementary science lessons. The subjects in this study were content experts, instructional design experts, learning media experts, and fifth-grade elementary school students. This research is development research by applying the ADDIE model. Data collection in this study was done by using a questionnaire method with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, the following results were obtained: 1) content experts 95.00%, 2) instructional design experts 93.75%, 3) learning media experts 87.50%, 4) individual trial results 83.33%, 5) small group trial results 90.50%. Thus the conclusions in this study indicate that this e-book based on discovery learning is in very good qualification and is suitable for use in science learning for fifth-grade elementary school.

The Implementation of Process Based Approach in Teaching Writing on The Tenth Grade Students in Senior High School 过程教学法在高二写作教学中的实施

In the learning process, language is one of the most important communication tools for humans in conveying messages, feelings, and ideas from every human being (Dutta, 2020). Language also helps a person to form a word, clause, and sentence as the main communication tool. In addition, language can also be divided into four parts which are the basic skills of language, especially English, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Process-Based Approach and the problems of it faced by English teachers in teaching writing to tenth grade students. The method used is descriptive research method using observation and interview techniques. The result of this study is that an English teacher uses a five-step process-based approach in teaching writing namely: pre-writing, compiling, revising, editing, and publishing. Then, there are three indicators, namely: lack of a process-based approach, teaching ability, and teaching habits. First, is the implementation of the revision and editing stages are still lacking. Second, time constraints make most students experience obstacles. Third, the teacher's habits can affect the character and abilities of students. That is the result of the research that there are still many techniques and ways to apply the five stages and also there are still some obstacles in the application of the approach.

Features of a Developing Mathematics Professional Learning Community and Affordances for Teacher Learning Opportunities 发展中的数学专业学习社区的特征及其对教师学习机会的启示

Professional learning communities are commonly as a viable model for on-going and productive teacher learning. However few studies have investigated how such communities develop to become fully functional and sustainable learning communities. This study investigated features of a developing teacher professional learning community and opportunities for learning. Five mathematics teachers in one township primary school in South Africa and the two authors of this paper constituted the professional learning community. Transcripts of the audio-recorded meetings constituted the data analysed in this paper.  Data analysis was done using the critical incidence approach. The findings indicate that the teachers shifted from passive to more active participants. They gradually perceived themselves as a community, sharing thinking and co-creating new meanings collaboratively. The facilitators’ roles gradually shifted from leading and intervening and probing. Opportunities for learning were created with respect to knowledge of learners’ problem solving needs, and specific instructional practices to address those needs. The findings indicate that the development of effective and sustainable professional learning communities is a gradual process that takes time, and involves shifts in roles by both facilitators and teachers.

Development of Interactive Multimedia Based on Contextual Approaches on Natural Resource Conservation Materials 基于自然资源保护材料语境方法的交互式多媒体开发

This development study was carried out because the media used by the teacher was less communicative, interesting and varied, thus making students easily bored and bored. The development goal is to create interactive multimedia based on a contextual approach to natural resource conservation material for science lessons. This study uses the ADDIE model. The research subjects included learning content experts, learning design experts, learning media experts and 12 students. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. Results review learning content experts show very good qualifications, Results review learning design experts showed good qualifications. Results review learning media experts showed very good qualifications. The results of individual trials showed very good qualifications, and the results of small group trials showed very good qualifications. So interactive multimedia is suitable for use in science learning in fourth grade primary school. The implication of this research is that the use of interactive multimedia can make students not easily bored and bored.

Fuzzy Delphi Approach in The Development of a Human Model of Moral Education for Juvenile in Malaysian Prison Schools 模糊德尔菲法在马来西亚监狱学校青少年道德教育人格化模式发展中的应用

The development and revision of the new curriculum currently brings changes in rapidly growing trends. In fact, this discipline is also being innovated in the form of a new dimension known as the futuristic curriculum or the future curriculum. In this 21st era, the future curriculum is seen as one of the requirements for designing, planning, implementing and evaluating an educational policy or policy. This study examines the application of the Soft Model of Moral Education for adolescents in Malaysian prison schools using the Fuzzy Delphi approach. The purpose of this study was to obtain expert views on the development of this model in the Moral Education curriculum, specifically for students in prison schools. Fuzzy Delphi (FDM) technique was used to obtain expert consensus by distributing instruments to 23 selected experts from various fields and backgrounds to answer research questions. The findings of the study showed that the expert group consensus was over 75% by noting 88% - 92% for each component in this model. In addition, the threshold value for most of the sub-items is 0.2 and a fuzzy score must be equal to or greater than 0.5 has also been achieved for all elements which is between 0.87-0.92. Overall, the expert consensus is "strongly agree" that the Soft Model is more effective in being used in Moral Education for adolescents in Malaysian prison schools.
