The Librarian’s Role in the Procurement of IPDN Electronic Library Materials During the Covid-19 Pandemic Covid-19大流行期间图书馆员在采购IPDN电子图书馆资料中的作用

Abstract  Background: Electronic library materials are more effective and efficient than printed books. Therefore, they are popular with millennials, especially when library services are only open online during the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal era. Librarians are required to maximize e-resources services when the budget is fully refocused on handling the Covid-19 outbreak. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the librarian’s role in procuring electronic library materials during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: The method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis design. Results: The results show that librarians act as administrators in selecting and procuring electronic library materials through the digital library applications “Digilib Praja” and “Smartlib IPDN.” In the policy dimension, they serve as an advisory board to the head of the library in making policies, selecting information technology-based service tools, and implementing digital book fundraising policies. In the Service Object Achievement dimension, librarians play a role in gathering information needs and ensuring electronic book purchases are based on guidelines for the IPDN Library. Conclusion: In conclusion, the role of librarians in procuring electronic library materials was sufficiently performed. They can procure IPDN e-resources through a digital book fundraising policy, which can be applied to another university as a form of innovation.  Keywords: Librarian Role; Procurement of Electronic Library Materials; E-Resources; Fundraising  Abstrak  Latar Belakang: Bahan pustaka elektronik dinilai lebih efektif dan efisien ketimbang buku cetak, oleh karenanya lebih digemari kaum milenial terutama pada saat layanan perpustakaan hanya dibuka secara daring di masa pandemic covid-19 atau pada normal baru. Sementara itu pustakawan dituntut untuk dapat memaksimalkan layanan e-resources di saat anggaran pembelian eresources seluruhnya dialihkan (refocusing) untuk penanganan wabah covid-19. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa bagaimana peran pustakawan dalam pengadaan bahan pustaka elektronik di masa pandemic Covid-19. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain analisis deskriptif. Hasil: Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dimensi Aksesibilitas Teknologi Informasi, pustakawan berperan sebagai administrator sekaligus actor utama proses seleksi dan pengadaan bahan pustaka elektronik (eresources), yakni melalui aplikasi perpustakaan digital “Digilib Praja” dan “Smartlib IPDN”. Library Promotion by Governance Institute of Home Affairs (GIHA) Library: An Overview 民政事务管治研究所图书馆推广工作综述

 Background: The ramifications of technological advancement is necessary for optimal operation of library and prompt provision of information. Purpose:  This research aims to obtain an overview and analyze library promotion, as well as the development strategy carried out by the Governance Institute of Home Affairs (GIHA) Library. Method: It uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation.  Results: The results show an inconsistency in the promotion carried out by the GIHA Library. The promotion aspect of the library had been fulfilled, the Branding aspect contained digital library branding, and the IPDN library had utilized social media as a library promotion tool. However, in the copywriting aspect, the Customer Relationship Management aspect, the promotion roadmap and the design of library promotion programs have not been implemented properly. Conclusion: The library promotion implementation is not good enough. The development strategy that the GIHA Library can carry out is to increase the digital-based promotion.  Keywords: Digital-Based Promotion, Library Promotion, University Library   Abstrak Latar Belakang: Implikasi dari perkembangan teknologi menuntut perpustakaan menjawab tantangan agar dapat menyelenggarakan fungsi perpustakaan secara optimal dan menyajikan kebutuhan informasi secara cepat dan tepat. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran umum dan menganalisis promosi perpustakaan serta menganalisis strategi pengembangan promosi perpustakaan yang dapat dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan IPDN. Metode: Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat inkonsistensi promosi perpustakaan yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan IPDN. Pada aspek promosi perpustakaan telah terpenuhi, pada aspek branding terdapat branding perpustakaan digital, dan perpustakaan IPDN telah memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai alat promosi perpustakaan. Akan tetapi pada aspek copywriting, aspek Customer Relationship Management, roadmap promosi dan perancangan program promosi perpustakaan belum diimplementasikan secara baik.  Kesimpulan: Penyelenggaraan promosi perpustakaan IPDN termasuk dalam kategori kurang. Strategi pengembangan promosi perpustakaan yang dapat dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan IPDN adalah meningkatkan promosi perpustakaan berbasis digital.  Kata kunci: Promosi Berbasis Digital; Promosi Perpustakaan; Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi

Digital Collection Transformation At The Library of National Cheng Kung University Taiwan: An Evaluation 台湾国立成功大学图书馆数位馆藏转型之评估

Abstract  Background: This paper evaluates digital collections and investigates digital collection transformation at National Cheng Kung University's Central Library in Taiwan. The NCKU case study highlights some issues that must be addressed, such as analyzing user information, improving library capacity and skills, developing digital resources, funding IT infrastructure development, and long-term database development for E-learning. Purpose:  The goal of this study is to assess the readiness of the library collection center's planning for digital transformation, from the user perspective, students in particularly. Method: qualitative descriptive research method and supported by survey data conducted by NCKU. Result: The findings indicate that users are ready for the library collection center's digital transformation. However, the digital library collection center necessitates more careful planning, particularly in terms of socialization. Conclusion: Digital library's rich digital information and digital learning materials enable users to study and research at any time and from any location, in the format of lifelong learning and personalized learning. Studi kasus NCKU menyoroti beberapa masalah yang harus ditangani, seperti menganalisis informasi pengguna, meningkatkan kapasitas dan keterampilan perpustakaan, mengembangkan sumber daya digital, mendanai pengembangan infrastruktur TI, dan pengembangan basis data jangka panjang untuk E-learning. Tujuan: Untuk menilai kesiapan perencanaan koleksi perpustakaan untuk transformasi digital, baik dari perspektif pengguna terutama mahasiswa. Hasil: Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengguna siap untuk transformasi digital pusat koleksi perpustakaan. Pusat koleksi perpustakaan digital memerlukan perencanaan yang lebih matang, terutama dalam hal sosialisasi. Kesimpulan: Informasi digital perpustakaan digital yang kaya dan materi pembelajaran digital memungkinkan pengguna untuk belajar dan meneliti kapan saja dan dari lokasi mana pun, dalam format pembelajaran seumur hidup dan pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi. The NCKU case study highlights some issues that must be addressed, such as analyzing user information, improving library capacity and skills, developing digital resources, funding IT infrastructure development, and long-term database development for E-learning. Purpose:  The goal of this study is to assess the readiness of the library collection center's planning for digital transformation, from the user perspective, students in particularly. Method: qualitative descriptive research method and supported by survey data conducted by NCKU. Result: The findings indicate that users are ready for the library collection center's digital transformation. However, the digital library collection center necessitates more careful planning, particularly in terms of socialization. Conclusion: Digital library's rich digital information and digital learning materials enable users to study and research at any time and from any location, in the format of lifelong learning and personalized learning. Studi kasus NCKU menyoroti beberapa masalah yang harus ditangani, seperti menganalisis informasi pengguna, meningkatkan kapasitas dan keterampilan perpustakaan, mengembangkan sumber daya digital, mendanai pengembangan infrastruktur TI, dan pengembangan basis data jangka panjang untuk E-learning. Tujuan: Untuk menilai kesiapan perencanaan koleksi perpustakaan untuk transformasi digital, baik dari perspektif pengguna terutama mahasiswa. Metode: Dengan menyebarkan survei ke berbagai sumber dan responden, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan didukung oleh data survei yang dilakukan oleh NCKU. Hasil: Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengguna siap untuk transformasi digital pusat koleksi perpustakaan. Pusat koleksi perpustakaan digital memerlukan perencanaan yang lebih matang, terutama dalam hal sosialisasi. Kesimpulan: Informasi digital perpustakaan digital yang kaya dan materi pembelajaran digital memungkinkan pengguna untuk belajar dan meneliti kapan saja dan dari lokasi mana pun, dalam format pembelajaran seumur hidup dan pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi. Strategy for Improving Library Facilities and Infrastructure in The Development of Modern Library in Pandemic Era 大流行时代现代图书馆发展中完善图书馆设施的策略

 Background: Worried that it will impact the spread of the corona virus transmission, many library services in several regions in Indonesia have closed their services without first analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of libraries in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. Purpose: The purpose to find out how the strategies used to improve library facilities and infrastructure in the development of modern libraries during the pandemic. Methods: This research uses library research. In making policies related to the scenario of library service strategies in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, an analysis was carried out using a SWOT analysis tool, so that the policies determined would be more targeted. Result:  The development of facilities and infrastructure needs to be carried out in the pandemic era. Improving digital library supporting facilities is a top priority in addition to physical facilities. Based on the SWOT analysis, it was found that policy suggestions/programs for improving infrastructure include procurement/improvement of digital library systems, procurement/improvement of servers as storage databases, improvement of digital/electronic collections, procurement/improvement of automation facilities and digital media transfer, and the need for structuring and improving facilities. and attractive and contemporary library physical infrastructure without violating health protocols.. Conclusion: The strategy for developing facilities and infrastructure in the context of developing modern libraries during the pandemic leads to increasing digital library support facilities which include procurement/improvement of digital library systems, procurement/improvement of servers as storage databases, increasing digital/electronic collections, automation and digital media transfer.   Keywords: Facilities and infrastructure; Modern Libraries; Pandemic   Abstrak Latar Belakang: Kekhawatiran akan berdampak meluasnya penularan virus corona menyebabkan banyak layanan perpustakaan di beberapa daerah di Indonesia menutup pelayanannya tanpa terlebih dahulu melakukan analisis terhadap kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman perpustakaan di tengah pandemi Covid 19.  Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi peningkatan sarana dan prasana perpustakaan dalam pengembangan perpustakaan modern di masa pandemi. Background: Library user satisfaction is one of the benchmarks in public service implementation. However, a measurement which is based on the indicators stated in the Ministry Regulation of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Number 14 of 2017 on Guidelines of Public Satisfaction Survey Creation in Public Service Administrator Unit, has never been carried out in the Library of Governance Institute of Home Affairs NTB Campus. A similar survey was conducted in 2018 but used different indicators. Thus, a study on library users’ satisfaction index of the library services of Governance Institute of Home Affairs NTB Campus was conducted by the researchers.  Purpose: This research aims at determining the index of library users’ satisfaction towards the library service of Governance Institute of Home Affairs Nusa Tenggara Barat Campus. Method: This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach along with a survey method which refers to the measurement of library users’ satisfaction index and is supported by secondary data with literature reviews from the result of previous relevant studies. Result: Index of service satisfaction on the system, mechanism, and procedure feature is 3,252 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. Requirements feature is 3,149 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature based on completion time is 3,119 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature according to costs/tariffs is 3,305 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature on product specifications for the type of services is 3,809 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature on executing officer’s ability is 3,179 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature on executing officer’s behavior is 3,311 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. A feature based on handlings of complaints, suggestions, and feedbacks is 3,109 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category, while a feature on infrastructure is 3,502 (scale of 3) and belongs to the good category. On the other hand, the service satisfaction level in 2018 is higher than the service satisfaction level in 2021. If the amount of average of these levels is acquired, it can be concluded that there is a 7% decline of every service performance feature. Conclusion: The study suggests that even though there is a decline from Muaidi’s research findings in 2018, the Index of Library Users Satisfaction towards the library service of Governance Institute of Home Affairs NTB Campus in 2021 can be considered as “good” with the value of Public Satisfaction Index (IKM) 3,194. A total of 222 publications were analyzed and visualized using the VosViewer software. Result: In general, there is an increase in the number of publications from year to year. Keyword visualization shows keywords related to text-based processing, deep learning architectures, the research object and media, and the application of the method. The most popular sources to publish and to find literature are the “Lecture Notes in Computer Science” and the “Expert Systems with Applications''. The most cited publication is “Deep Learning for Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis: A Comparative Review”, written by Do, Prasad (cited 81 times). The most productive researcher is Zhang Y from China. The most productive institution is Nanyang Technological University (6 publications), and China has the highest number of publications (76 documents). Non-Print Information Resources and The Preservation Approaches Recommendation in Tanzanian Academic Libraries 坦桑尼亚高校图书馆非印刷品信息资源及其保存方法建议

 Background: Non-print information resources are increasingly becoming more important as vital learning materials in higher learning institutions. Academic libraries therefore, have to acquire, process, organize and preserve them for current and future use. Purpose: This paper aims to assess the factors affecting the non-print information resources and their recommended preservation approaches in academic libraries.  Method: The study adopted a convergent parallel mixed approach which collects and analyses data to produce integrated findings by using both qualitative and quantitative techniques in a single study. Data was collected by means of questionnaire and in-depth interview. Result: The study revealed that dust, loss of data on disc and hard disc, loss of data due to server failure, high heat, and excessive light, fading of disc surface, high humidity, fungus on disc surface, atmospheric pollutants and virus attack were factors affecting non-print information resources. It was also revealed that highly recommended preservation approaches were good cleanliness of library where information resources are kept, educating library users on how to handle and use information resources, migrating information resources from obsolete storage media to modern storage media, technology preservation and refreshing. The Relation between Availability of New Collections and Users Motivation to Read: Correlation Study at the Library Unit of the Governance Institute of Home Affairs Jatinangor 新馆藏的可得性与用户阅读动机的关系:贾提南戈尔民政治理研究所图书馆组的相关性研究

Background: Library as information providers needs to expand their collections in order to maintain the novelty of information used by users. The Library Unit of IPDN carries out collection development in the form of print and digital copy every year, but due to the limited space of ​​the library, new collections cannot be displayed and stored back in the warehouse after processing, so that new information takes longer to be obtained by the users even though there are more new printed collections available than the digital ones. Purpose: To find the relationship between the availability of new collections and users’ reading motivation. Method: This study uses quantitative methods with probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The calculation is conducted by using Slovin formula with an error rate of 5% so as to produce 249 respondents. All instruments are declared valid based on the calculation of the Pearson Product Moment formula using a significance value of 5%. It is also declared reliable based on the calculation of the Cronbach Alpha formula. Meanwhile, the correlation test is conducted by using the Spearman-Rank formula. Result: The study shows several findings, such as: a) the new collection has an important value for the users with a score of 0.384 and is in the low proximity level; b) new collection relates to information enlargement. The result shows that it is in the medium proximity level with a value of 0.441; c) the relationship between the use of new collections and the expectations of collection development is in the medium category with a coefficient of 0.428; d) the relationship between the availability of new collections and reading motivation has a coefficient value of 0.513 and has a moderate proximity level.  Conclusion: New collections can increase users’ knowledge thus the collections are valuable. When users’ information needs are fulfilled, users will have more expectations towards the collection development of the library. Therefore, the availability of new collections is related to users’ reading motivation.  Keywords: Reading Motivation; Collection Development; New Collection  Abstrak Latar Belakang: Perpustakaan sebagai penyedia informasi perlu melakukan pengembangan koleksi untuk menjaga kebaruan informasi yang digunakan oleh pemustaka. Unit Perpustakaan IPDN melakukan pengembangan koleksi baik berupa cetak maupun digital di setiap tahun, namun karena keterbatasan area perpustakaan, koleksi baru belum bisa dilayankan dan disimpan kembali ke gudang setelah proses pengolahan, sehingga informasi baru sampai lebih lama padahal koleksi cetak baru tersedia lebih banyak dari pada koleksi digital.  Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara ketersediaan koleksi baru dengan motivasi baca pemustaka. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik probability sampling yaitu simple random sampling. Perhitungan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan taraf kesalahan 5%
背景:图书馆作为信息提供者需要扩充馆藏,以保持用户使用信息的新颖性。IPDN图书馆单位每年都以印刷版和数字版的形式进行馆藏建设,但由于图书馆空间有限,新馆藏不能进行展示,处理后不能回库存储,因此即使新的印刷馆藏比数字馆藏多,用户获取新信息的时间也更长。目的:探讨新馆藏的可获得性与用户阅读动机之间的关系。方法:本研究采用定量方法,采用概率抽样技术,即简单随机抽样。计算采用斯洛文公式,错误率为5%,共得到249名受访者。根据使用显著性值5%的皮尔逊积矩公式的计算,所有仪器都被宣布有效。根据克朗巴赫Alpha公式的计算,它也被宣布为可靠的。同时,利用Spearman-Rank公式进行相关性检验。结果:研究发现:a)新馆藏对用户具有重要价值,得分为0.384,处于低邻近水平;B)新收集与信息扩大有关。结果表明,其接近度为0.441,处于中等水平;C)新馆藏利用与馆藏发展预期的关系处于中等水平,系数为0.428;D)新馆藏的可获得性与阅读动机之间的关系系数值为0.513,具有中等接近水平。结论:新馆藏能增加用户的知识,具有一定的价值。当用户的信息需求得到满足时,用户会对图书馆的馆藏建设有更多的期待。因此,新馆藏的可用性与用户的阅读动机有关。关键词:阅读动机;收集开发;新文集摘要:Perpustakaan sebagai penyedia informasi perlu melakukan pengembangan koleksi untuk menjaga kebaruan informasi yang digunakan oleh pemustaka。单位Perpustakaan IPDN melakukan pengembangan koleksi baik berupa cetak maupun digital di setiap tahun, namun karena keterbatasan地区Perpustakaan, koleksi baru belum bisa dilayankan dan disimpan kembali ke gudang setelah progiolahan, seingga informasu sampai lebih lama padahal koleksi cetak baru tersedia lebih banyak dari padkoleksi digital。图juan: Mengetahui hubungan antara ketersediaan koleksi baru dengan motivasi baca pemustaka。方法:Penelitian - mongunakan方法,定量抽样,dengan技术,概率抽样,简单随机抽样。Perhitungan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan taraf kesalahan 5% sehingga menghasilkan 249人回应。Semua仪器dinyatakan有效邓根perhitungan瘤Pearson积矩孟古那坎nilai显著5%。Dinyatakan realibel berdasarkan perhitungan rumus Cronbach Alpha。Uji korelasi menggunakan rumus Spearman-Rank。哈西尔:a) Koleksi baru berilai penting bagi pemustaka dengan nilai sebesar,384 dan berada keeratan rendah;b) Koleksi baru berhubungan dengan penambahan informasi。国民民主联盟(Keeratan hubungan berilai),441 berada dalam kategori seang;c)湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北湖北d) Terdapat hubungan bernilai koefisiensis, 0,513 dengan keeratan, seang antara ketersedian, koleksi baru dan motivasi baca。Koleksi baru dapat menambah informasi pemustaka sehinga Koleksi tersebut bernilai。Ketika kebutuhan informasi terpenuhi, maka pemustaka akan berekspektasi lebih kepada pengembangan koleksi。Ketersediaan koleksi baru berhubungan dengan motivasi baca pemustaka。Kata kunci:动机;Pengembangan Koleksi;Koleksi巴鲁

Purpose: To find the relationship between the availability of new collections and users’ reading motivation. Method: This study uses quantitative methods with probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The calculation is conducted by using Slovin formula with an error rate of 5% so as to produce 249 respondents. All instruments are declared valid based on the calculation of the Pearson Product Moment formula using a significance value of 5%. It is also declared reliable based on the calculation of the Cronbach Alpha formula. Meanwhile, the correlation test is conducted by using the Spearman-Rank formula. Result: The study shows several findings, such as: a) the new collection has an important value for the users with a score of 0.384 and is in the low proximity level; b) new collection relates to information enlargement. The result shows that it is in the medium proximity level with a value of 0.441; c) the relationship between the use of new collections and the expectations of collection development is in the medium category with a coefficient of 0.428; d) the relationship between the availability of new collections and reading motivation has a coefficient value of 0.513 and has a moderate proximity level.  Conclusion: New collections can increase users’ knowledge thus the collections are valuable. When users’ information needs are fulfilled, users will have more expectations towards the collection development of the library. Analysis of College Library Promotion Activities: Study on the Library Department of Governance Institute of Home Affairs (IPDN) 高校图书馆推广活动分析——以民政学院图书馆管理系为例

Problem Statement: The author focuses on the obstacles faced in promoting IPDN libraries, which are limited budget, lack of human resource capabilities, and ratification of library promotion guidelines in 2021. Purpose: This study aims to obtaining a clear picture and analyzing promotional activities carried out by IPDN library. Method: The author collects data through interviews with first and second year students, and IPDN librarians. The author also conducted observations and documentation. Results: The results show that the form of promotion that is beneficial for users is through brochures, displays of new book collections and social media, especially Instagram. Meanwhile, promotion through the websiteneeds  further development and improvement, especially in terms of updating information and utilizing the institution's website platform. Conclusion: There are several forms of promotion that have not been effectively carried out, one of which is promotion through the Library Website. Furthermore, there are still promotional methods that have not been carried out, including promotions in the form of making interactive CDs, creatinglibrarian blogs, competitions and book bazaars, and Praja internship programs in the library.  Keywords: Promotion Activities; Promotion Forms; College Libraries.   Abstrak Latar Belakang: Penulis berfokus pada kendala yang dihadapi dalam melakukan promosi perpustakaan IPDN yaitu terbatasnya anggaran, kurangnya kemampuan sumber daya manusia, dan belum disahkannya pedoman promosi perpustakaan pada tahun 2021. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran yang jelas dan menganalisis kegiatan promosi yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan IPDN. Metode: Penulis mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara kepada Mahasiswa tingkat I dan II serta pustakawan Perpustakaan IPDN. Penulis juga melakukan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk promosi yang manfaatnya dirasakan oleh pemustaka adalah melalui brosur, display koleksi buku baru dan media sosial terutama Instagram, sementara promosi melalui Website dinilai perlu dilakukan pengembangan dan peningkatan terutama dalam hal updating informasi dan pemanfaatan platform Website institusi. Kesimpulan: terdapat beberapa bentuk promosi yang belum efektif dilakukan, salah satunya adalah promosi melalui Website Perpustakaan. 40 Minutes with “Sang Penjemput”: A Concept of Creating Literacy Culture at SMP N 17 Kendari 40分钟“Sang Penjemput”:在SMP n17 Kendari创建识字文化的概念

Problem Statement: This research is conducted in response to low reading motivation of society, especially parents/guardians in spending their spare time when picking up their children after school in SMP N 17 Kendari. Purpose: This research aims to describe how “40 Minutes with Parents/Guardians (Sang Penjemput)” program has influenced reading literacy of SMP N 17 Kendari. Method: This research uses a qualitative research with library study method supported by observation. Data sources are reference books and scientific journal articles which was in line with this research. Observations are in the forms of authors’ own experiences as authors directly participated in this program. Results: The findings show that: The headmaster of SMPN 17 Kendari had a significant role in carrying out this program; Many readers (Sang Pembaca) were fond of fiction books, newspaper, and magazines; Additional facility such as comfortable place to read was a significant factor in implementing this program.  Conclusion: It can be concluded that 40 Minutes with Parents/Guardians (Sang Penjemput) program, which was carried out with reading activity while picking up their children, is quite effective in influencing reading habits of the Parents/Guardians (Sang Penjemput). Methods: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka yang diperkuat dengan observasi. Sumber data penelitian berupa buku-buku referensi dan artikel-artikel jurnal ilmiah yang memiliki relevansi dengan penelitian. Observasi berupa pengalaman penulis secara langsung terjun sebagai pelaksana. Result: Temuan penelitian antara lain: Pucuk pimpinan SMPN 17 Kendari memiliki peran yang cukup kuat dalam mensukseskan program; Bahan bacaan yang banyak diminati Sang Pembaca diantaranya buku fiksi, surat kabar, dan majalah; Fasilitas penunjang seperti tempat yang sejuk dan nyaman juga tidak kalah penting dalam mensukseskan program kedepan. Conclusion: Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa Program Kegiatan 40 Menit bersama Sang Penjemput yang dilaksanakan melalui konsep pembiasaan membaca bahan bacaan sembari menunggu jemputan siswa tergolong efektif mempengaruhi kebiasaan membaca Sang Penjemput. Result: Temuan penelitian antara lain: Pucuk pimpinan SMPN 17 Kendari memiliki peran yang cukup kuat dalam mensukseskan program; Bahan bacaan yang banyak diminati Sang Pembaca diantaranya buku fiksi, surat kabar, dan majalah; Fasilitas penunjang seperti tempat yang sejuk dan nyaman juga tidak kalah penting dalam mensukseskan program kedepan. Conclusion: Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa Program Kegiatan 40 Menit bersama Sang Penjemput yang dilaksanakan melalui konsep pembiasaan membaca bahan bacaan sembari menunggu jemputan siswa tergolong efektif mempengaruhi kebiasaan membaca Sang Penjemput.
