Modulated model predictive current control of an indirect matrix converter with active damping 带有主动阻尼的间接矩阵变换器的调制模型预测电流控制

A modulated model predictive control (M2PC) scheme for an indirect matrix converter is proposed in this paper, including an active damping method to mitigate the input filter resonance. The control strategy allows the instantaneous power control and the output current control at the same time, operating at a fixed frequency. An optimal switching pattern is used to emulate the desired waveform quality features of space vector modulation and achieve zero-current switching operations. The active damping technique emulates a virtual resistor which damps the filter resonance. Simulation results present a good tracking to the output-current references, unity input displacement power factor, the low input-current distortions and a reduced common-mode voltage (CMV).

Performance quantification of latest generation Li-ion batteries in wide temperature range 最新一代宽温度范围锂离子电池性能量化

In addition to electric vehicles and stationary applications, Li-ion cells are now used in power systems of more electric aircrafts thanks to their high energy and high power density. Nevertheless, the available performance of Li-ion cells is limited at low temperature. This work is focused on the capacity and discharge resistance to evaluate the performance of last generation Li-ion technologies covering the range of aeronautic temperature (−20°C to 55°C). A dedicated method is proposed to determine the Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) and the discharge resistance at several States of Charge (SOC) and different temperatures. The self-heating is investigated during the continuous discharge which depends on internal resistance and heat transfer coefficient in climatic chamber. In addition, a quasi-static isothermal electrical model is carried out to rebuild the curve of continuous discharge for one technology by using the OCV and the discharge resistance at −20°C and 55°C. Finally, the difference between simulation and experiments is discussed and attributed to SOC quantification method with regard to discharge resistance measurement.

More and more cyber-physical systems and the internet of things push for a multitude of devices and systems, which need to work together to provide the services as required by the users. Nevertheless, the speed of development and the heterogeneity of devices introduces considerable challenges in the development of such systems. This paper describes a solution being implemented in the setting of a serious game scenario, connected to real homes energy consumption. The solution provides a publish-subscribe middleware which is able to seamlessly connect all the components of the system.

Combination of the ICP and the PSO for 3D-SLAM 结合ICP和PSO进行3D-SLAM

There are many methods for 3D simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM) such like ORB-SLAM, LSD-SLAM and so on when we use camera as sensor. However for laser range finder, there are few algorithms for SLAM, especially for 3DSLAM. Besides, the accuracy and robustness of 3D SLAM is still not enough by using conventional methods for laser range finder. A very famous algorithm for using laser range finder and grid map, Iterative Closest Point (ICP), has been usually used in 3DSLAM. In our previous research, a method of using the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) algorithm is proposed to increase the accuracy of 3D-SLAM. And the proposed method that using PSO algorithm in grid map makes a better performance than using the ICP algorithm in our previous research. However, we find a way to combine the ICP algorithm with the PSO algorithm for the 3D-SLAM by using 3D laser range finder and grid map instead of comparing them. By combining these two algorithms, we can reduce the computation consumption and improve the performance. In this paper we show and analyze the result of experiments of SLAM.

A novel virtual voltage control strategy for modular multilevel converter 一种新的模块化多电平变换器虚电压控制策略

A novel virtual voltage control strategy is proposed for modular multilevel converter in order to reduce the quantity of voltage sensors at the terminal. The output voltage of the inverter is obtained through the upper and lower arm currents of the converter and used to trace the reference active and reactive power, respectively. According to the Routh-Hurwitz criterion, the root trajectory of the controlled system is revealed and the dynamic characteristics of the controlled system are analyzed in the paper. Based on the root trajectory, the controller parameter is designed, which simplifies the parameter tuning. The simulations are carried out in the PSCAD/EMTDC. Results show that the proposed control strategy has good control performance.

Proxy based sliding mode control augmented with friction compensator for use in 1-DOF freehand ultrasound probe 基于代理的带摩擦补偿的滑模控制在一自由度超声探头中的应用

This paper presents three contributions in the filed of medical imaging applications using hand-held ultrasound probe: 1) a new type of belt-driven mechanism for force-controlled ultrasound probe (FCUS) and 2) a safe and precise position controller and 3) a new algorithm for endpoint avoidance in the limited motion range. To enhance the image quality, the probe-patient contact force is controlled. In such case, to achieve both safe contact within limited range of motion and accurate positioning, proxy-based sliding mode control augmented with friction compensation is proposed. Due to proxy-based sliding mode control, the proposed controller is advantageous in that it guarantees overdamped response and the system model, which is difficult to obtain for probe-patient interaction system, does not appear in the controller. Due to friction compensation, the controller provides accurate positioning. The new algorithm for endpoint avoidance enables continuous motion in the limited motion range. The proposed controller is validated experimentally.

Real-time volt/var optimization for distribution systems with photovoltaic integration 光伏集成配电系统的实时电压/无功优化

This paper presents a two-stage optimization approach to mitigate the rapid voltage fluctuations and minimize the power losses of distribution systems due to the high penetration of photovoltaic (PV) generation. The first stage is a day-ahead optimal strategy which aims to minimize the total voltage deviations and power losses within the constraints of the daily maximum allowable number of operations of the on-load tap changers (OLTCs) and shunt capacitors (SCs). The second stage is a real-time inverter reactive power control to compensate for the uncertainties of PV output and load demand. As a part of the real-time control, an artificial neural network (ANN) approach is used to estimate the system states. In both stages, the optimization problems are formulated as nonlinear optimization problems and solved with direct search algorithms. The real-time optimization method is tested using a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation platform. A modified IEEE 34-node test feeder is applied to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Grid voltage modulated control of grid-connected voltage source inverters under unbalanced grid conditions 电网不平衡条件下并网电压源逆变器的电网调压控制

In this paper, an improved grid voltage modulated control (GVM) with power compensation is proposed for grid-connected voltage inverters when the grid voltage is unbalanced. The objective of the proposed control is to remove the power ripple and to improve current quality. Three power compensation objectives are selected to eliminate the negative sequence components of currents. The modified GVM method is designed to obtain two separate second-order systems for not only the fast convergence rate of the instantaneous active and reactive powers but also the robust performance. In addition, this method converts the system into a linear invariant system though designing a new voltage input. Simulation results are presented to verify the correctness and validity of the proposed control strategy and power compensation method.

M/T method based incremental encoder velocity measurement error analysis and self-adaptive error elimination algorithm 基于M/T方法的增量式编码器测速误差分析及自适应误差消除算法

For motor control applications, the speed loop performance is largely depended on the accuracy of speed feedback signal. M/T method, due to its high theoretical accuracy, is the most widely used in incremental encoder adopted speed measurement. However, the inherent encoder optical grating error and A/D conversion error make it hard to achieve theoretical speed measurement accuracy. In this paper, hardware caused speed measurement errors are analyzed and modeled in detail; a Single-Phase Self-adaptive M/T method is proposed to ideally suppress speed measurement error. In the end, simulation and experiment show the advantages and verify the validity of the proposed method.

Improved switching frequency variation control in hysteresis controlled VSI-fed induction motor drives for reduced line current ripple 改进了磁滞控制vsi -馈电感应电机开关频率变化控制,降低了线路电流纹波

This paper proposes an improved control strategy for switching frequency variation in hysteresis current controlled Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) fed induction motor (IM) drives. The advantages of simple hysteresis controller like simple implementation and fast dynamic response along with nearly constant switching frequency and reduction in current ripple are obtained in the proposed controller. Elimination of look up tables is possible since boundary computation is performed online with estimated stator voltages calculated using current errors along the orthogonal axes thus making implementation easier. This paper proposes to reduce the complexity of algorithms that already exists by utilizing only the sampled magnitudes of reference phase voltages. Vector selection logic is designed to extract the features of Voltage Controlled-Space Vector PWM based VSI fed IM drive whereby reduced current ripple is obtained for the entire linear modulation range. Extensive simulation study of the proposed controller based drive has been conducted using SIMULINK toolbox of MATLAB for steady state as well as transient performance analysis. Significant current ripple reduction has been obtained. The simulation results have been validated experimentally on a 3phase, 2.2kW, 415V Induction Motor.
