This work the theme is on innovation in marketing has as its aim to present and discuss marketing strategies developed by a shoe company in Vale dos Sinos/RS, focusing on innovation with its clients, and, consequently, increasing its sales. The analysis of such strategies suggests that they represent innovation not only for the company itself, but also for its clients that, by utilizing them, reduce its costs, the average time of receiving its products, and increases its profits. This company only utilizes these marketing strategies, so they are seen as innovative. Besides, they may be characterized as radical innovation, as they completely modify the company's relationship with its clients.

Weed infestation is an essential factor in sugarcane productivity loss. The use of remote sensing data in conjunction with Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, can lead the cultivation of sugarcane to a new level in terms of weed control. For this purpose, an algorithm based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) was developed to detect, quantify, and map weeds in sugarcane areas located in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Images of the PlanetScope satellite were subdivided, separated, trained in different scenarios, classified and georeferenced, producing a map with weed information included. Scenario one of the CNN training and test presented overall accuracy (0,983), and it was used to produce the final mapping of forest areas, sugarcane, and weed infestation. The quantitative analysis of the area (ha) infested by weed indicated a high probability of a negative impact on sugarcane productivity. It is recommended that the adequacy of CNN’s algorithm for Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) images be carried out, aiming at the differentiation between weed species, as well as its application in the detection in areas with different culture crops

Manaus, due to the growth process it has undergone in recent decades, is among the cities with a high level of environmental vulnerability. According to the IPCC 6th Climate Change Report, the impacts of climate change will hit hardest the poor populations with limited adaptive capacity. This article shows the IPCC's warnings about the risks of global warming, the great inequalities in the distribution of Amazonian populations, and the seriousness of the increase in deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions that compromise the lives not only of the region's inhabitants, but of the planet as a whole. Moreover, it emphasizes the need for urgent solutions in order to contain the degradation process of the Amazon rainforest, actions that include defending the Amazonian biome and the objective and efficient confrontation of the problems of pollutant emissions, through energy efficiency practices.

The marked growth of the sugar and alcohol sector has promoted an increase in the fleet of heavy agricultural vehicles to meet the demand for commodities; however, the intense traffic of machines in areas of insufficient soil moisture has resulted in compaction, compromising the productivity of the sugar cane. In order to determine the optimal conditions for resuming the use of tractors under a reduced tillage system, the bearing capacity was evaluated and stress distribution was modelled in a dystroferric Red Latosol cultivated with sugar cane. Soil sampling was carried out during the first ratoon crop at 120 days, using metallic cylinders installed at a depth of 0.05 m in the crop rows and 0.15 m between rows. The samples were submitted to the uniaxial compression test to determine the preconsolidation pressure of the soil. The reduced tillage gave the lowest bearing capacity at the soil surface (0.05 m), while the highest values were found at a depth of 0.15 m. The bearing capacity proved to be an efficient indicator for analysing the structural degradation of the soil by demonstrating the compressibility of the various layers and sampling positions resulting from reduced tillage and the impact of agricultural machines in the field. The prediction model for traction and soil stress distribution that was employed was able to predict the optimal performance of the tractor, and provide stress data that would allow a study of the limiting water content for the traffic of agricultural tyre tractors.

Brazil is the world's largest producer of passion fruit, with an average annual production of 700,000 tons. Although the production of the fruit is concentrated in the northeast region of the country, the states of the Amazon region have a significant production, especially in Amazonas, Pará and Rondônia. Even though there are several studies on passion fruit, there are still few works that address the economic aspects of the activity. Thus, the present study aimed to measure and analyze the main economic indicators of passion fruit cultivation in the Central Region of Rondônia, Western Amazon/Brazil. To reach the objectives, this descriptive and exploratory research, used the bibliographical research and the field study, promoting the collection of data through interviews applied to passion fruit producers established in three municipalities contained in the Western Amazon / Brazil - specifically in the central region of the state of Rondônia, and the information collected was treated qualitatively and quantitatively. Thus, it was especially found that the average monthly Return on Investment (ROI) of the activity was 3.98%, the average profitability was 10.86%, while the average profit was BRL 8,853.28 (US$ 2,425.56) per hectare grown from the fruit. Furthermore, through Pearson's correlation analysis, it was found that most economic indicators were highly dependent on the “production” variables.

Entrepreneurship is a strategic element for promoting the socio-economic development of countries or regions, encouraging the creation of new businesses and the generation of technological innovations. In this context, the concept of entrepreneurial university emerges, an institution based on the generation and transfer of knowledge, from the development of teaching, research, extension and entrepreneurial activities. Thus, this research sought to identify in the scientific literature factors and structures that contribute to the formation of an entrepreneurial university. Therefore, a search was performed in the SCOPUS database with the search string "entrepreneurial university" or "enterprising university" and then applied the filters 'All Open Access' and 'Sort on: Cited by (highest)'. The articles were analyzed according to the following elements: year; title; objective; summary; key words; conclusion; and number of citations. The main results indicate that the conception of the entrepreneurial university requires planning and the existence of management models that contemplate, in addition to basic activities, entrepreneurial actions focused on developing entrepreneurial behavior and promoting economic and social development. In addition, the scientific literature has presented models of several factors and structures that contribute to the formation of the entrepreneurial university.

Coastal zones fulfill important ecological, social and economic functions. Because soil flooded by tidal variations and due to great variation in salinity. Mangroves cover these regions. They are also a tropical coastal ecological system, always in the lowlands, at the mouths of rivers and estuaries. Despite their important environmental role, mangrove areas have been continuously decreasing worldwide, with an average reduction of 30% in the last 30 years. Thus, this research sought to determine land use and land cover change in low Subaé. With emphasis on Mangrove areas and urban occupation. We used supervised classifications of satellite images to evaluate the changes. We chose images from 1988, 2003, and 2017. And used images from the Landsat series (30m) and an image from the PlanetScope satellite (3m). We validated classifications through the Tau and Geographical Simultaneity concordance measures. We observed that performing the spatio-temporal analysis observing only the variation of areas may not represent the phenomena that occurred. The overall Tau index calculation for the ratings was 0.89. During the period 1988-2017 there was a significant reduction in Agricultural areas, corresponding to around 15% of the study area. Meanwhile, growth of pasture from 24km² to 48Km² and the Urban Zone, occurred over all classes, including mangroves.

Macromolecules are proteins formed by amino acids joined by peptide bonds, and can be described in different structural levels: primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary. It’s possible to extract a small part of the three dimensional structure of the protein to be used as a ligand. However, the extraction of fragments by experimental methods is expensive and time-consuming. In this context, the development of a web service to extract fragments of three-dimensional proteins makes the process more assertive and less costly. The methods used for the development of the protein slicer web service were the Python programming language, and the Javascript, PHP and HTML languages are being used. And for the testing of the system, three-dimensional structures of proteins present in the RCSB Protein Data Bank (RCSB PDB) were used.
