Studying the Physical and Chemical Properties of the Industrial Wastewater of the North Refineries Company-Beiji 北方炼油厂北集公司工业废水理化性质研究

Water is regarded as one of the most important natural resources on the surface of the globe, and its wrong use can turn it into a source of environmental pollution. So, it must be given attention. Thus, attention must be given to it. One of the most important ways to preserve the water environment and protect it from pollution is to treat polluted water in all its forms. Industrial wastewater is considered as one of the types of polluted water resulting from various human activities. Due to the significance of the water environment in the human health aspect, and the special attention given by the ministries and departments concerned in this regard, therefore, the current study was conducted on some physical and chemical properties of industrial wastewater of the North Refineries Company for a year and a seasonal system (January 1 to November 1, 2022). The results showed that the water temperatures ranged between (9.7-33.4 ºC). As for the turbidity, it ranged between (14.4-40.5 NTU), while the electrical conductivity ranged between (287.1 - 1644.6 μS/cm). It was found that most of the water in the studied stations was high in terms of suspended solids, which ranged between (1063 - 2588 mg/L) while the pH values ranged between (6.7 - 8.54). It was also observed that the dissolved oxygen values increased in most of the study stations, ranging between (1.31 - 23.4 mg/L). As for the values of the biological requirement for oxygen, it ranged between (9.3 – 9.4 mg/L). Depending on the values of the vital requirement for oxygen, the value was between (0.46 - 9.32 mg/L). Moreover, it was found that the total hardness was high in most of the study stations, with values ranging between (28.46 - 754.12 mg/L). The chloride ions in most of the studied stations were not within the permissible limits with values ranging between (63.77 - 1140.5 mg/L), while the phosphate values were between (0.23 - 1.62 mg/L). The organic carbon concentration TOC was recorded with values that ranged between (1.14 -62.7 mg/L), while the values of oil residues ranged between (0.84 -14.35 mg/L) during the study period.

A Review on the Extraction and Optimization of Phytochemicals from Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb 姜黄中植物化学成分的提取及优化研究进展

The genus Curcuma pertains to the Zingiberaceae family and consists of 70-80 species of perennial rhizomatous herbs. This genus originates in the Indo-Malayan region and it is broadly spread all over the world across tropical and subtropical areas. Curcuma xanthorrhiza belongs to the Zingiberaceae family is a rich source of phenolics and terpenoids with various bioactivities.  This study aims to provide more information about botanical features, biological activities, essential oils, phytochemicals, ultrasound-assisted extraction, and optimization of C.xanthorrhiza by response surface methodology and HPLC for further advanced research. Because of its use in the medicinal and food industries, C.xanthorrhiza is an extremely important economic genus. C.xanthorrhiza rhizomes are the source of a yellow dye and have traditionally been utilized as spices and food preservers, as a garnishing agent, and also utilized for the handling of various illnesses because of the chemical substances found in them. Furthermore, Because of the discovery of new bioactive substances with a broad range of bioactivities, including antioxidants, antivirals, antimicrobials and anti-inflammatory activities, interest in their medicinal properties has increased. Lack of information concerning botanical features, biological activities, essential oils, phytochemicals, ultrasound-assisted extraction, and optimization of C.xanthorrhiza by response surface methodology and HPLC is the biggest problem that the researcher encountered. This review recommended that collecting information concerning the C.xanthorrhiza may be providing more opportunities for further advanced studies lead to avoid wasting time and use this information for further research on bioactive compounds which are beneficial in medicinal purposes.

Special Applications of Cyclic Groups 循环群的特殊应用

Cyclic groups are common in our everyday life. A cyclic group is a group with an element that has an operation applied that produces the whole set. A cyclic group is the simplest group. A cyclic group could be a pattern found in nature, for example in a geometric pattern we draw ourselves. Cyclic groups can also be thought of as rotations, if we rotate an object enough time we will eventually return to the original position. In this research paper we explore further applications of cyclic groups in number theory like division algorithm and Chinese remainder theorem and other applications including chaos theory, 12-hour clock, modular system, bell ringing, linear codes. If someone can recognize a cyclic group, they could use the generator to find the fastest simple circuit for use in other real-world applications and in pure mathematics.

Recent scientific and technological advancements have made ophthalmology a top priority for the study of therapeutic products, including the creation, preclinical testing, and clinical evaluation of novel medications, medical devices, and drug-medical device combinations. In order to decrease metabolism and elimination and increase residence time in ocular tissues and compartments, sustained-release drug delivery systems such as liposomes, micelles, nano-emulsions, nanoparticles with colloidal structures, and intraocular implants have been developed. Research is also being conducted in the area of cutting-edge medicines, including those based on gene or cell systems, both of which are considered high-risk products because to their intricate structures. Regarding the definition of drug (medicinal product) and recent changes in regulation, this article reviews recent advancements in ophthalmic drug, gene, and cellular delivery systems and related goods as well as breakthroughs in advanced therapeutic medicinal Products.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) causes active TB infections that result in pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB), relapse even after treatment, and latent TB. Tuberculosis is a bacterium airborne pulmonary infectious disease. Extra pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) results from an illness which is too severe with Mycobacterium tuberculosis entering into the circulatory system. A really bad situation with further multi-drug TB. In the nation, pulmonary TB is spreading as well as reemerging. Recent findings of an increase in cases in the area pose a mortality burden and infection spread risk. The group of bacteria genetically organisms known as the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) are accountable for human as well as animal tuberculosis. Among the primary reasons of mortality or morbidity worldwide continues to remain this sickness even now. The mycobacteria infiltrate the host via breathing that is phagocytated by macrophage as they reach the respiratory tract. It may cause the bacteria responsible to be quickly destroyed or cause an aggressive TB disease. Precisely a result of its human immunological reaction, multiple distinct virulence indicators have emerged among MTBC subgroups. The purpose of this research is to discuss the bacterial genes or enzymes that are to be crucial to determining the pathogenicity of MTBC strains through in vivo infections paradigm. As a way to eradicate various illnesses as well as get closer to a future without infections such as tuber emerging medicines or therapies must take into account the virulence aspects of MTBC.

Measurement of Central Tendencies 集中趋势的测量

The main purpose of this article is to understand central tendencies, its application, its types, as well as to learn how to achieve arithmetic mean from grouped and ungrouped data. We will be able to understand geometric and harmonic means and way to calculate them from grouped and ungrouped data. In addition, we will learn which types of mean tends to have more errors and which one to use in which circumstances. We will also be able to know median and mode that are located at the center of data. This article will elucidate the differences between arithmetic mean, median and mode as well as explain ways to calculate mode and median, and pros and cons of median. Preface: In statistical analysis, we sometimes need to analyze the data with respect to a specific characteristic. This characteristic or number should represent the whole set of data. In statistics, central tendency is a central value for data. Measures of central tendencies are often called averages. The most common measure of central tendency are the arithmetic mean, the median, and the mode. Averages can be divided into two groups. The first type is the average with respect to location and second one is mathematical average. We will explain each one in more detail in this article. Objectives: The main objective of this article is to understand mean, its types, and usage in daily life. Methodology: In this article, I have used library research and I have collected data from reliable resources and internet sites.

Leishmaniasis Increase and Causes in Kabul City 喀布尔市利什曼病的增加及其原因

Parasites of the genus Leishmania are pathogenic for humans and animals and cause leishmaniosis. This disease can be seen in three forms: cutaneous, cutaneous-mucous, and visceral. Identification of Leishmania species in clinical infections is very important for advancing awareness, control, and prevention of the disease. Kabul province in Afghanistan is one of the important places infected with Leishmania parasites. In this study, the prevalence of cutaneous leishmaniosis and its treatment methods in traditional medicine were studied in areas of Kabul province, Afghanistan. The population investigated in this study was primarily patients with cutaneous leishmaniosis who were referred to health centers (Leishmaniosis Hospitals) in endemic areas of the disease in the capital Kabul province. In addition to the capital of Kabul province, information on patients was also collected from different districts like Kart e now, Arzanqimat, Darlman, Desabz, Sarobi. Data collection of leishmaniasis patients was done using a questionnaire. After the statistical analysis of the obtained data, it was observed that women are significantly more affected by cutaneous leishmaniosis than men. It was also observed that gender, income, health facilities, travel, level of education, etc are effective in people suffering from this disease. Based on the collected information, the people of Kabul province use medicinal plants such as milk thistle, Asterberg, alkaloid plant, and Bolag oti to control leishmaniosis or Salak.

Tablets are the traditional over all medicinal dosage forms for solid dosages. A tablet is a solid pharmaceutical dosage form that is typically manufactured by compressing or moldings the medicinal component with appropriate diluents. They are easier to create than any other dosage form, but during manufacturing, a number of issues may occur that force the batch to be discarded. Post compression studies are also crucial before the dosage forms are put on the market. Modern standards and concepts that emphasize bioavailability, bioequivalence, and validation, among other things, have an impact on formulation design and production. In this article, we discussed the issues (Picking, Sticking, Mottling, etc.) that will arise during the production of tablets, their solutions, as well as the pre- and post- Compression qualities (such as hardness, thickness, and weight variation) and the upper limitations of their use in commercial dosage forms.

The banking sector has undergone significant transformation due to the swift advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The present study elucidates the benefits of aforementioned technology and their influence on both individuals and communities. The paper discusses a novel cohort of banking institutions that have reaped the rewards of advancements in AI-powered electronic gadgets and internet-based applications. For example, mobile devices are increasingly utilized to conduct transactions via economic institutions' accounts.  author has discussed in the paper that advancements in AI have brought significant benefits to the banking sector. The adoption of AI-powered electronic gadgets and internet-based applications has revolutionized the way banking services are delivered, providing convenience, personalized experiences, and enhanced customer service. AI technologies have also contributed to fraud detection and prevention, improved operational efficiency, and facilitated financial inclusion.
