Wireless Hybrid Vehicle Three-Phase Motor Diagnosis Using Z-Freq Due to Unbalance Fault 基于z -频率的无线混合动力汽车三相电机不平衡故障诊断

Online diagnostics of three phase motor rotor faults of hybrid vehicle can be identified using a method called machine learning. Unfortunately, there is still a constraint in achieving a high success rate because a huge volume of training data is required. These faults were represented on its frequency content throughout the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm to observe data acquired from multi-signal sensors. At that point, these failure-induced faults studies were improved using an enhanced statistical frequency-based analysis named Z-freq to optimize the study. This analysis is an investigation of the frequency domain of data acquired from the turbine blade after it runs under a specific condition. During the experiment, the faults were simulated by equipment with all those four conditions including normal mode. The failure induced by fault signals from static, coupled and dynamic were measured using high sensitivity, space-saving and a durable piezo-based sensor called a wireless accelerometer. The obtained result and analysis showed a significant pattern in the coefficient value and distribution of Z-freq data scattered for all flaws. Finally, the simulation and experimental output were verified and validated in a series of performance metrics tests using accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for prediction purposes. This outcome has a great prospect to diagnose and monitor hybrid electric motor wirelessly.

Thermal Performance Evaluation of a Small-Scale Drying Machine for Palm Oil Mill Sludge 小型棕榈油污泥干燥机的热性能评价

Malaysia is one of the major contributors of palm oil production globally with large amount of palm oil production. This has significantly contributed to large amount of palm oil mill effluent that eventually affect the environment. A small-scale drying machine for palm oil mill is evaluated on its thermal performance to assess the suitability of the machine to produce organic fertilizer from the palm oil mill sludge. Evaluation was performed with computational fluid dynamics simulation and experiment on design configuration options of the drying machine. The effect of air flow to the thermal performance was also studied in conjunction with the design configurations of the drying machine. The results showed promising potential of a design configuration over another in term of thermal performance and functionality.

Tensile Properties of Luffa Acutangula Reinforced Polymer Composite 丝瓜增强聚合物复合材料的拉伸性能

In recent years, there has been a growing trend in the popularity of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites (NFRPC). Numerous researchers have put forward various alternatives to synthetic fibers. Luffa is one of the many natural fibers can be integrated into NFRPCs. Luffa with its unique interconnecting branch (mat/mesh) is suitable for NFRPCs. In this study, luffa reinforced high-density polyethylene (Luffa/HDPE) composite was fabricated using compression molding machine. In the preparation of the fiber, Luffa were cylindrically cut-out and opened into sheets form. The fiber was then laminated with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film using compression molding method. The proposed fabricated composite consisting of a fiber volume fraction (FVF) of 7%, 14%, 21%, 27% and 30%. Tensile properties of the Luffa/HDPE composite were determined. SEM was used to study the interlamination and delamination of the composite. Tensile test shows that the increase of FVF enhanced the tensile strength of Luffa/HDPE composite. Tensile strength has gradually increased from 7 % to 21 % FVF. Though, tensile strength declines after 21% FVF.

Design Optimization of Components for Additive Manufacturing-Repair: An Exploration of Artificial Neural Network Requirements and Application 增材制造-修复部件设计优化:人工神经网络需求与应用探索

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in additive manufacturing (AM) technology is currently a promising and leading area of research for component repair and restoration. The Issues of high cost and time consumption for AM repair have been a subject of discussion among researchers in this field of study. Moreover, the potential challenges in dealing with complex components for repair and restoration in the (AM) domain require the establishment of a critical technical platform based on hybrid (AI). At this point, the proposed optimization method must cover all important parameters for the complex configuration of structural components under restoration. For the purpose of this study, a design optimization framework was developed using a MATLAB-SIMULINK mathematical model for AM solution purposes by improving the functionality and integration of monitoring. This improvement is based on facilitating the real-time identification of failures with accuracy and giving a clear monitoring vision according to the intended targets like geometric distortions, residual stresses evaluation, and defect characterization. The improvement involves overcoming a number of challenges such as the pre-fabrication stage by expanding the data repository besides offering a theoretical set of algorithmic with some options that improve the current procedure. Also, this study will conclude and suggest a further framework and new knowledge for restoration and product life cycle extension. This developed ANN can be used at the real pace of modeling the MATLAB-Simulink system and merged with another suitable algorithm to form a hybrid ANN. This model development using a neural network has attained a good manipulation of AM. The predicted data from ANN model that was determined and achieved in this study can be used to facilitate and enhance any further study as base knowledge in merging the ANN with another AI to form a hybrid algorithm.

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping and Tag-Based Navigation for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles 无人机同步定位、地图绘制与标签导航

This paper presents navigation techniques for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in a virtual simulation of an indoor environment using Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and April Tag markers to reach a target destination. In many cases, UAVs can access locations that are inaccessible to people or regular vehicles in indoor environments, making them valuable for surveillance purposes. This study employs the Robot Operating System (ROS) to simulate SLAM techniques using LIDAR and GMapping packages for UAV navigation in two different environments. In the Tag-based simulation, the input topic for April Tag in ROS is camera images, and the calibration of position with a tag is done through assigning a message to each ID and its marker image. On the other hand, navigation in SLAM was achieved using a global and local planner algorithm. For localization, an Adaptive Monte-Carlo Localization (AMCL) technique has been used to identify factors contributing to inconsistent mapping results, such as heavy computational load, grid mapping accuracy, and inadequate UAV localization. Furthermore, this study analyzed the April Tag-based navigation algorithm, which showed satisfactory outcomes due to its lighter computing requirements. It can be ascertained that by using ROS packages, the simulation of SLAM and Tag-based UAV navigation inside a building can be achieved.

An Experimental Investigation of Fatigue Performance for A Flexure Spring 柔性弹簧疲劳性能试验研究

In order to prevent a free-piston Stirling cryocooler failure during mission life, the flexure spring's fatigue life is most critical and important. In the current research, an effort is made to examine fatigue life. The fatigue life testing of cryocooler flexures is frequently discussed in the literature. However, more information is needed about the economic approach and hardware needed for the testing. This research paper adopts the FEA approach of flexure spring and outlines the criteria for flexure fatigue testing. A moving coil linear motor was also designed and selected for the oscillating shaft and bending special-purpose flexure spring stack to validate stiffness criteria. The 108 no. of cycles required to validate the fatigue limit were also attained using the approach in a few days when testing at a relatively high frequency.

In the current research, an effort is made to examine fatigue life. The fatigue life testing of cryocooler flexures is frequently discussed in the literature. However, more information is needed about the economic approach and hardware needed for the testing. This research paper adopts the FEA approach of flexure spring and outlines the criteria for flexure fatigue testing. A moving coil linear motor was also designed and selected for the oscillating shaft and bending special-purpose flexure spring stack to validate stiffness criteria. We in this paper intended to investigate heat and mass transfer for MHD free convective flow for exponentially accelerated plate. The effects of Ion slip and Hall are studied considering variable temperatures, concentration, and angle of inclination. We applied finite element analysis for solving governing equations. Flow velocity, concentration and temperature’s graphical profiles are examined for non-dimensional parameters. Flow reversal is prevented due to magnetic field, is observed. Velocity experiences retarding effect due to angle of inclination, this helps in acknowledging drag force in seepage flow.

Optimisation of Capacitated Planned Preventive Maintenance in Multiple Production Lines Using Optimisation-in-the-Loop Simulation 基于环内优化仿真的多生产线有能力计划预防性维修优化

In a mass customisation manufacturing system, the production schedule is tailored to the customer's specifications. However, the production system must be accompanied by an effective maintenance program to ensure that the production lines operate as intended. The purpose of this study is to optimise planned preventive maintenance across multiple production lines. An optimised Weibull distribution is proposed to model the machine's Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and the total expected maintenance cost is calculated using this distribution, taking into account the probability of the machines remaining operational and failing. Because the optimised Weibull distribution is a continuous distribution, in order to simulate the continuous time domain, it will be divided into several sub-systems and optimised using Bayesian optimisation during simulation. The maintenance scheduling is carried out by considering available time capacity after production scheduling was arranged. The study's findings indicate that the proposed method successfully optimised the planned maintenance schedule without interfering production activity with total cost for the proposed maintenance planning as low as IDR 50.017,75/maintenance unit time.

Relationship Between Heat and Troughs During a Transport Process of Heating the Pet Films Pet薄膜加热传输过程中热量与槽的关系

Understanding the troughs caused during a heat treatment process is important for ensuring process stability and product quality in roll-to-roll (R2R) productions methodology. The purpose of this study is to confirm the relationship between heat and troughs during a transport process of heating where heat is applied over a wide range of area. The temperature and tension applied to the web during the heated transport process were measured in the experimental analysis. Results showed that the web were stretched in the web transport direction during the heat transfer process. However, troughs did not occur because the experiment was conducted below the glass transition temperature. The comparison between the web temperature obtained in the experimental analysis with the one-dimensional thermal conduction simulation for the temperature distribution of the web are also conducted in this paper. This simulation was performed using a non-Fourier model that can be used on microscales. Simulation results show that when the temperature is gradually raised, the amount of thermal conduction is reduced during transportation of the web. The thermal conduction of ballistic phonon is smaller than that of the diffuse phonon when compared at same distance. Even though there were differences between the experimental values and the simulation results, this is because it ignores the heat transfer and radiant heat transfer.

Analysis of Fractures and Microstructures on Different Injection Speeds in High-Pressure Die-Casting Magnesium Alloy 高压压铸镁合金不同注射速度下断口及组织分析

In this study, to clarify the unknown physical properties of the Mg-Al-Th-RE alloy, the relationship between the injection conditions and the internal porosities, and the mechanical properties exerted by the solidification microstructure was investigated. The obtained cast samples were investigated using X-ray CT internal measurements, tensile tests, Vickers hardness tests, and solidification microstructure observations. The tensile strength and the elongation at the injection speed of 5.0 m/s were higher than at 2.0 m/s. The number of porosities affected the tensile strength and the elongation even at the same fracture position. In addition, it was confirmed that segregation affected the destruction smaller the porosity size and the greater the variability of porosity. As the injection speed increased, the amount of heat transferred between the molten metal and the wall surface also increased, resulting in quick freezing and solidification. The tensile strength increased at the injection speed of 5.0 m/s because the interface between the scattered primary crystals and eutectic systems was narrow. On the other hand, at the injection speed of 2.0 m/s, the tensile strength decreased because the molten metal was delayed in solidification and dendrite growth became remarkable.
