The various faults of motor like short circuited and overload fault can be simulated by the Simulink and Power System Blockset of MATLAB. By researching the instantaneous procedure of the motor faults, protective methods which are more reliable and safer can be provided.
利用MATLAB中的Simulink和Power System Blockset可以对电动机的短路、过载等各种故障进行仿真。通过对电机故障瞬间过程的研究,可以提供更可靠、更安全的保护方法。

The fault of broken rotor bars in a three-phase induction motor is diagnosed by using the wavelet multi-resolution analysis in this paper. Daubechies wavelet is selected as the wavelet base, and the wavelet coefficient is obtained from the wavelet transform of the current signal of the faulty induction motor. The wavelet reconstruction of a single branch is then processed. This is the signal in each frequency branch as a function of time. A rotor fault in the induction motor is clearly identified from the distinguishing current characteristics on the high frequency branch, compared with the no fault condition.

An asynchronized synchronous generator's (ASG) nonlinear state space equations, including the cycloconverter's frequency adjusting process, are put forward. According to the state equations, the static stability of an ASG is analyzed, and the relation between the stability and the magnifying coefficient and the damping coefficient is also discussed.

Two main types of rotor structure used in doubly-fed brushless machine (DFBM) are the cage and ALA (axially laminated anisotropy) rotors. In order to investigate the effect of different rotor structures on the dynamic characteristic of DFBM, this paper presents the comparative study results between the ALA reluctance rotor and cage rotor machine. It is indicated that the DFBM with cage rotor has better starting characteristic, however, the DFBM with ALA rotor is provided with fine drag-in and dynamic response ability.

Direct torque control (DTC) of an AC motor has the fast torque and flux dynamic responses even though it has very simple scheme to implement. However, DTC do not show good performance at low speed range with conventional open loop stator flux observer when stator resistance varied. Therefore, authors propose a new nonlinear stator flux observer in order to estimate the stator flux of induction motor at low speed and show its simulation results.

Partial discharge (PD) testing is an effective means to find the internal insulation faults of generators and the acquired signal is the basis for further signal processing and insulation diagnosis. This paper presents the basic scheme of generator PD on-line detection and processing principle of data acquisition flow. A computer based system for digital acquisition, storage of the PD signal is described, the FFT analysis, FIR filter and other processing methods are illustrated. In this paper the design of a turbogenerator with high voltage stator winding is presented. In distinction from conventional techniques the stator winding is not built with isolated bars. For this concept, common high voltage cables are used. Therefore it is possible to raise the stator voltage from 110 kV to 400 kV. The advantage of this concept is that the transformer is no longer necessary. The conclusion of this paper is that it is possible to design a turbogenerator with high voltage stator windings, but the new machine is much larger than a common one. Furthermore the efficiency is lower (0.6% resp. 2.3%) than for a conventional machine because of skin effect losses in the cables.

In the paper, a neural network torque model of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) is established, based on the merits of the backpropagation (BP) neural network in the area of modeling and control of nonlinear systems. The simulation results show that the torque model based on BP-neural network is more robust and adaptive, and can reflect the working properties of SRM more accuracy than the local linearization torque model.

This paper introduces the operation principle of bearingless motors. The electromagnetic torque and magnetic levitation force of a bearingless motor with four rotor structures have been calculated and analyzed by means of finite element analysis. A new type of rotor structure is proposed based on the comparative study on torque and levitation force for different rotor structures.
