The paper is devoted to identification of specifics of associative centers of the category “politeness”, national and cultural specifics through the analysis of verbal communication components and to establishment of the main features of understanding of the analyzed category by representatives of the Tajik youth. When starting communication, people do not only share information, but also express various attitudes to each other. In a statement addressed to a partner in communication, the speaker is able to transfer love, friendliness, hostility, including different shades of such attitude ranging from pointed respect to demonstrative disrespect. All cases of respect and benevolence towards a partner in communication are unite by the concept “politeness”. The study of “politeness” on the basis of the association experiment conducted among young people is methodologically aimed to identify national and cultural specifics of its perception in Tajik linguocultural space. Keywordspoliteness; culture; associative center; association experiment; language consciousness; speech etiquette

The paper defines the importance of the argumentative culture of a person in the modern world. It reviews the formation of rhetorical competences in elementary school students through educational disputes. The rhetorical skills are defined as the ability to influence an individual or audience with verbal methods during interpersonal or collective communication and are seen as a structural component of communicative competence. Communicative competences are considered the most important, as they include universal learning actions tied to ability to facilitate the dialogue, present personal opinions and rationalize them, while being prepared to resolve conflicts by cooperation and accounting for the interests of both sides. Communicative speech activity the dispute has learning and developmental opportunities in the classroom. The main method chosen for the creation of rhetorical competences in elementary school students is the educational dispute. The conditions pertaining to the most effective formation of rhetorical competence through the educational disputes are defined and validated: learning how to make a reasoning, training how to pick different theses or arguments, creating educational situations with a difficult question, using formulas defined by the

The last decades in Russia have been accompanied by a string of reforms of various social institutes aimed at enhancement of their efficiency when transitioning to the postindustrial society. Special attention of the state is paid to the cultural sphere as the most essential societal subsystem. Besides, it is the center of formation and approbation of new humanitarian and social technologies, intended to develop conditions for realization of a creative potential of a person. Modernization of the control system of culture requires a comprehensive analysis of changes happening in the social environment. In this context scientists are actively involved in solving various social problems in state establishment of different levels, expert and coordination committees. It requires constant renewal of activities of services responsible for control of the modern process, taking into the account the rising demands of state and society. Their activities are especially meaningful for culture since today there are a lot of problems and contradictions in this area. Those include changes in the organizations’ status, switching to new standards and programs, and implementation of the system of state contracts. All these define the vector of research on the topic. The article considers the anti-Russian sanctions introduced by the US by a number of Western states. In 2014, after the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, and in connection with the assistance of our country to compatriots in the southeast of Ukraine, a number of Western states have introduced quite severe economic and political measures (sanctions) in order force change the chosen policy of Russia. The initiators of the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions were the United States and the leading states of the European Union. Among the "sanctioners" were also Australia, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Japan and other states. In their view, the reunification of Russia and the Crimean Republic, formerly part of Ukraine, was illegal, as it violated the universally recognized borders and territorial integrity of a sovereign state, a member of the UN Security Council. The authors not only describe in sufficient detail the phased introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, but also make a well-founded conclusion that the state policy of counteraction to Western sanctions, conducted in 2014-2016, gave its positive results in both political and economic spheres. In particular, it accelerated the implementation of programs to overcome import dependence in a number of areas of the economy, including in industry and agroindustrial complex of our country. It is summarized that, despite numerous difficulties, the state policy of counteracting Western sanctions played a positive role in Russia's socio-political and economic development. Keywords—anti-Russian sanctions; state policy; counteraction to Western sanctions

The language of the media vividly demonstrates the development of the language system, including the functioning of culture-specific concepts, namely culture-bound words or realias in modern languages. In various works on translation studies, such notions as realias and word-realias are differentiated. Linguistic realias or word-realias are lexical units, which designate unique objects and phenomena characteristic of a cultural, social and historical development of a nation and alien to other peoples, that is, they are the verbal expression of specific features of national cultures. The translation of these concepts is one of the most complicated issues in the theory of translation, because it is connected with a whole range of heterogeneous components, namely the translation aspect of the country studies, the erudition of a translator, the background knowledge of both a reader of the translation and a reader of the original. The study examines strategies and procedures of translating Chinese realias into the Russian language. The authors describe culture-bound words and the strategies of their translation from the positions of Russian, Chinese and other linguists. Keywords—realia; linguistic realia (word-realia); culturebound word; word-realia translation; strategies of word-realia translation

—In the paper, two basic methods of analysis of the meaning of lexical units and a general structure of lexical-semantic fields are considered. The main subject is to understand the essence of the componential analysis method and the field approach. The analysis of their definitions provided by various researchers, their main terms and notions, as well as prospects of these methods are presented. The methodology of the research is the analysis of various types of scientific papers dealing with history, theoretical basis and practical application of the componential analysis method and the field approach. The authors also present the evolution of the point of view on the role of these methods in the study of the meaning of lexical items, classification of semantic units and structure of lexical-semantic fields. The result of the research is a thorough analysis of essence, features, basic notions and prospects of the methods. The scope of the results is various kinds of scientific research works concerning the study of lexical meaning and issues of classification and arrangement of different kinds of semantic components, as well as the general structure of lexical-semantic fields.

From times immemorial, the East provided Europe with incense and spices, as well as with its legends and beliefs, symbols and fairy tales. These tales familiarized Europeans with exotic and previously unknown world of peri and jinns, merchants of opulent Eastern bazaars, maddening beauties and young men performing acts of bravery. Europeans were fascinating with the stories that combined invention and fantasies with reality, a kaleidoscope of alien morals and traditions, homilies and didacticism. Elements of the Oriental tales being retold and reinterpreted influenced the European culture. Multitudes of translations and imitations of the Oriental tales appeared in the European literature. This paper considers intertextuality of the Oriental fairy tale, expands the scope and content of the concept used in the practical studies of literary phenomena; justifications are given for significance of intertextual links in the process of reinterpretation and renewal of the Oriental prose texts, giving rise to new artistic meanings. The text of the fairy tales and their translations are seen as an intertext determined by a possibility of representing translation units as intertextual
