Objective: This article discusses the development of medical information models by integrating the practice of smart medical informationconstruction both at home and abroad, and accumulates a technology for building distributed, cross-domain smart medical models, and seeksfeasible solutions. Methods: Through the analysis of business requirements and status quo, using the UML Unified Modeling Language definition view, a modelfor smart medical information platform is established from various aspects to guide the design of the architecture and functional design. Results: The smart medical information platform is the core system of regional healthcare informatization, and more intelligent medical andhealth services are new ideas for the development of medical informatization. The comprehensiveness, accuracy and timeliness of businessdata based on health records on the platform play a crucial role in the effective provision of medical and health services. In the entire “SmartHealthcare” building process, the use of Internet of Things technology to intelligently collect residents’ health data, build a smart medicalinformation platform and electronic medical records resources database, health records resources database, medical professional knowledgebase, to promote the integration of residents health card applications, to accelerate the construction of such projects as telemedicine, mobile medical care, appointment registration, health management, and smart community health services, to realize information sharingand exchange among departments of health and medical insurance, drug administration, family planning, public security, and civil affairs, and to establish cross-system cross-institutional regional health information system, relying on big data technology to conduct smart bigdata intelligence analysis, to allow residents to enjoy more convenient, efficient, high-quality, continuous medical services and healthmanagement, and to enhance residents’ sense of enjoying medical reform.

Objective: To analyze the medical humanistic quality of physicians through 360-degree evaluation method, explore and establish a set ofevaluation methods for medical humanities and literacy that suit our country's national conditions, and understand the medical humanities and literacy status of doctors in standardized training. Methods: The questionnaire survey and score calculation method were used to investigate all the physicians in standardized training in 2015 of three Affiliated Hospitals of Chongqing Medical University and analyzed using the 360-degree evaluation method. Results: When analyzed according to different sociological characteristics, it was found that the difference in academic qualifications and whether or not to obtain a medical practitioner qualification do not affect the medical literacy of Physiologists, but different genders, especially females, score higher in medical literacy than men. It shows that gender has a certain influence on the medical humanistic literacy.

taking SCI theses of 59 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences in the field of biomedicine for research objects, adopting thescientific metrology and social network analysis to study the cooperative relationship of the academicians' papers. The results show that thecollaborative network of academicians' theses is based on a fixed small group network and does not form a whole and connected network. The form of cooperation is based on internal and domestic cooperation, and international cooperation with the United States is the mostfrequent. Biochemistry and molecular biology are the most important and active leading disciplines in their scientific research activities.Computer science and life sciences are closely interacted, and the role of intermediary bridge is becoming increasingly prominent. Theresults suggest that although the academician's scientific cooperation is keeping up with the times, the breadth and depth of its internationalcooperation need to be further deepened. The leading disciplines need further integration and continue to strengthen disciplinary cooperation.

Methods: The column setup and content were analyzed by looking through the four medical journals one by one. The total issueswere 101 including 26 issues of BMJ, 24 of JAMA, 26 of NEJM and 25 of The Lancet. Findings: Every issue of the four journals consistsof a dozen columns: fixed and non-fixed columns. Various kinds of papers were published based on various topics. These topics focused onobservations, viewpoints, correspondence and humanity. Conclusions: The setup of columns is flexible and rich in content and highlights thecharacteristics and principles of publication.

Objective: To study the effect of peripheral left ventricular central catheter (PICC) on the left arm in the treatment of complications. Methods: patients underwent PICC catheterizations from June 2015 to July 2016 were divided into control group and experimental groupin chronological order. The control group preferred right hand catheterization, the experimental group preferred left hand, and comparisonswere made between the two groups after catheterization . Results: The incidence of jugular venous ectopic in the control group was higherthan that in the experimental group which is statistically significant (P 0.05). There was significant difference in patients’satisfaction between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion: PICC insertion with the left arm of the preferred choice does not increase the riskof complications and reduces the risk of ectopic jugular. The non-dominant hand catheter can effectively reduce patients’ inconvenience ofdaily life and improve the comfort of patients.

Objective: To analyze the causes of missed diagnosis and improve nursing countermeasures in patients with PICC catheterization of internaljugular vein. Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of 32 patients who weren’t diagnosed ectopic catheterizations of internal jugularvein until they had X-ray examinations after ultrasound guided PICC catheterization. We analyzed the reasons of missed diagnosis to providea certain guidance for clinical practices. Results: The missed diagnosis of ectopic catheterizations of internal jugular vein were caused bysmall exploratory area of internal jugular vein, improper usage of ultrasonic probe, operation step missing, variations of veins and so on. Thefirst two reasons are the main factors. Conclusion: In order to reduce the occurrence of missed diagnosis of ectopic PICC catheterizations ofinternal jugular vein, the operators should expand the exploratory area of internal jugular vein, use the ultrasonic probe correctly, improve theoperation level, follow the operation procedure strictly and evaluate patients’ preoperative situations carefully. If all the measures above aretaken, we can assuredly reduce the rate of missed diagnosis of ectopic PICC catheterizations of internal jugular vein.

Introduction. The daily use of medicinal plants has increased in recent years. The study of drugs of natural origin as an academic discipline and its applications in healthcare has changed remarkably but still focus on the quality of products and the development of new medicines. Aim. This study covers all fundamental aspects of pharmacognosy as well as topics relating to the therapeutic use of plant drugs known as phythotherapy. The purpose of the study was to review the literature about the use of Berberis. Materials and method. We reviewed the literature regarding the use of Berberis published between 1933 and 2018. We found more than 500 articles studying the properties of Berberis for digestive disorders, antibacterial, antidiabetic, hypotensive effects, anti-inflammatory effects, cholesterol regulation, cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia, cerebral ischemia trauma, mental disease, Alzheimer disease and osteoporosis. Our review includes recent studies regarding chemical composition and medicinal outcomes of Berberis.

Introduction. Despite advances in medical care AKI (acute kidney injury) is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The lack of adequate early renal injury biomarkers is often a problem for an early AKI diagnosis. In recent years, numerous scientific studies have been carried out which reveal new urine and serum markers to assess the period of the kidney injury before revealing its late clinical effects. In most clinical settings, AKI is due to acute renal tubular necrosis which results in protein accumulation in urine. Determination of the concentrations of proteins such as NGAL (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin) and KIM-1 (kidney injury molecule-1) are of great significance in the diagnosis of AKI. Aim. The purpose of the study was to review the literature about significance of NGAL and KIM-1 proteins for diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) in clinical practice. Materials and method. Analysis of Polish and foreign literature.
