In order to further enhance oil recovery in high-temperature and high-salinity reservoirs, the surfactant flooding system for tertiary recovery in high-temperature and high-salinity reservoirs was investigated based on Tahe oilfield where the formation temperature is 90–110°C, the salinity of formation water is 11.5 × 104 mg/L, and the content of calcium-magnesium-ion is 5000–8000 mg/L. First of all, the surfactant formula suitable for Tahe oilfield reservoir was explored and optimized by means of compatibility experiments, interfacial tension measurements and thermal stability investigation. Then, the performance of the surfactant formulation was evaluated by results of changing wettability, emulsifying property, and adsorption capability, as well as flooding experiment and self-assembly behavior. Finally, a complete set of evaluation and optimization techniques applied to the surfactant flooding system for tertiary recovery in high-temperature and high-salinity reservoirs were developed, which provides theoretical basis and technical support for tertiary recovery in other high-temperature and high-salinity reservoirs at home and abroad.

A new compound, O-ethyl formate phenylacetic acid, was synthesized by one-pot method with homophthalic acid, CH3OH and Ca(ClO4)2·2H2O. The new compound was determined by elemental analysis and single crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis. The o-ethyl formate phenylacetic acid crystallize in monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 20.908(4) A, b = 5.2154(10) A, c = 20.045(4) A, β = 97.21(3)o, V = 2168.5(7) A3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.104 μg·m–3, μ = 0.064 mm–1, F(000) = 720, and final R1 = 0.1967, wR2 = 0.4907. The title molecules form 1D chained structure by the interaction of intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking.
