A silicon 2D multisensor measuring simultaneously and independently the in-plane components of the magnetic field is experimentally tested. The devise contains one central ohmic contact and symmetrically to it - two perpendicular to each other pair of ohmic contacts. The sensitivities of the two sensor channels in accordance with symmetry are equal, reaching $mathrm{S}=25 mathrm{V}/mathrm{AT}$ at $T=300 kappa$ and $mathrm{S}=119 mathrm{V}/mathrm{AT}$ at $T=77 mathrm{K}$. The channel cross-sensitivity does not exceed 5% as the internal noise is of the $1/f$ type.

All-digital Phase Locked Loop is designed in this article. A combinational frequency multiplier is developed and tested to achieve completely integrated system using only one low frequency reference oscillator. Adaptive proportional-integral regulation is used to ensure high stability, low phase noise and fast synchronization in wide frequency range. The system is developed and tested on Spartan 3E FPGA by Xilinx.

In this paper we aim to offer a low budget simulator of the M1A2 Abrams battle tank for training and educational purposes. We have focused on modeling the battle tank fire controls, as well as a virtual representation of the tank. In addition, we use modern methods for calculating the external projectile ballistics. Furthermore, wind force and its effect on the trajectory of shell projectiles are simulated and studied. Finally, we have conducted several experiments and draw conclusions.

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is an out-of-hospital medical practice based on newest ICT achievements. The major advantages are related to the possibilities for longterm monitoring of the processes for treatment and recovery of patients in their natural living environment. This paper presents a very simple, cheap and easy for use technological solution (hardware) for registration of heart activity, allowing to overcome some obstacles to RPM of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

The paper summarizes the mechanism of event servicing through interrupts in the embedded systems design - one of the most complex and abstract topics in microcontrollers and embedded systems disciplines. Some special features of Arduino IDE, relating interrupts, are given. It is also briefly presented how a smart home model is used as a suitable complex object to study microcontroller interrupts, among various hardware and software aspects of embedded system design and programming.

This paper proposes an extensible and flexible 4 layer network architecture for integrating data from heterogeneous wireless sensor networks with the open and private cloud structures. The proposed architecture has a number of advantages over the existing network architectures for WSN: integration of data from heterogeneous sensor nodes and providing a mechanism for their transmission to network cloud services; the ability to create geographically distributed WSNs over long distances covering different remote areas - cities, countries and continents.

This paper proposes a setup to provide remote laboratory courses on embedded systems and mechatronics applied in engineering education. A hardware setup, which allows students to test and verify their design on a real physical setup from a remote location, is presented. Special attention is given to live feedback and measurements. The accompanying software setup is discussed and presented. The software setup addresses multiple aspects such as manipulation of the remote setup, setup reservation, live visual feedback and security.

The identification of trees is becoming increasingly important for the protection of plant species and the regulation of timber trade worldwide. Anatomical features such as vessels, fibers, parenchyma and rays play a significant role in the identification of individual trees. The unique cell structure of each of the hardwood species varies widely among the intraspecific species and describes their characteristic features. In this article we propose a method for detection of geometric features in tree samples, such as vessels, through morphological analysis and segmentation.
