The cross-border integration of agricultural markets is a new field of supply chain management. The agricultural market between Guangdong and Hong Kong always have very strong ties. However, This cross-border market integration is undoubtedly different from the market integration based on the mainland level. This paper regards the cross-border agricultural market between these two different customs zone as the breakthrough point and deeply studies the issues of the integration of agricultural product market between Guangdong and Hong Kong, using the price data from January, 2000 to December, 2009. The results show that the agricultural product market between Guangdong and Hong Kong generally has a tendency of long-term integration, but the short-term integration is far lower than long-term integration. The implement of CEPA is conducive to propel the integration of agricultural product market between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Upgrade level of integration between Hong Kong and Guangdong agricultural markets to cross-border supply chain management efficiency improvement is significant.

Developing service-oriented manufacturing is a new worldwide trend in the manufacturing industry, and its smooth promotion relies upon the efficient support of high-level information. This paper firstly defines the concept of service-oriented manufacturing information system through studying literatures; analyzes system's main function characteristics and performance requirements by comparing with traditional manufacturing model, and then builds a basic architecture of information system, which can provide a scientific and operable framework for enterprise managers' IT planning. Finally we put forward some focus points of this new system in the future academic research.

This paper studies the pricing and service effect of a product in a dual-channel supply chain with one manufacturer and one retailer. A single-channel, retailer's dual-channels and manufacturer's dual-channels supply chain models are established, respectively. The decision problems of optimal pricing and service under different channels are analyzed. The results indicate that the retailer's offline channel service level will be improved when it also has an online channel, while the retailer's offline channel service level will be reduced when the manufacturer creates an online channel, if the competitiveness between the online and offline channel is the same, under the condition of low service sensitivity. Besides, the offline retail channel service level will be reduced whether the retailer or the manufacturer create an online channel, under the condition of high service sensitivity. Finally, we coordinate the two dual-channel models with quantity discount contract.

In many applications such as dynamic social network and customer behavioral analysis, the data intrinsically have many dimensions and can be naturally represented as high-order tensors. In this study, a SVM ensemble learning method is proposed for classification using tensor data. The method is used in identifying cross selling opportunities to recommend personalized products and services to customers. Two real-world databases are used to evaluate the performance of the method. Computational results show that the SVM ensemble learning method has good performance on these databases.

This paper finds that the single maximum daily AAR and CAR are greater during the directional add-issuance declaration which large shareholders subscribe or replace new shares with their assets than not by event study. So the signal effect of behavior of large shareholders in the directional add-issuance exists in the listed companies in China. But the factor analysis shows that the directional add-issuance that the large shareholders participate cannot bring long-term performance to improve or enhance, and the cumulative score is negative and declining. Moreover, the large shareholders participate in the directional add-issuance though they that the performance of the company is a substantial decline before directional add-issuance. In this paper, the subscription or replacement of large shareholders is intended to changing market expectations and valuation, and attract external market and small-medium investors to subscribe which is the abuse of the signal effect of the directional add-issuance.

This paper develops a methodology to assess the possibility of air and rail cooperation in a corridor. A generalized travel model is adopted to find the equilibrium price of rail and air transport in studied routes, and a profit satisfaction index is calculated to determine the cooperation possibility from operators' perspective. The methodology is subsequently applied to a case involving 6 city-pairs and a high speed travel service system is designed accordingly. The general conclusions suggest that the relative location of cities, market capacity and transfer cost are key factors affecting cooperation and competition.

Service economy plays a significant role in Hubei province which is the bellwether of `the Rise of Central China'. This paper focuses on the rules of development of service industry in Hubei province. Meanwhile, the stages of the development and evolution of the service industry have been divided to describe the characteristics of the service industries. In addition, the problems existing in the development of service in Hubei are analyzed, and some recommendations have been proposed to promote the development of service industry in accordance with actual status. Finally, the significance of the development in service industry has been discussed from the perspectives of party ruling.

Although there is a great deal of literature focused on high-tech R&D, there is much less literature examining the whole manufacturing industry R&D and analyzing its performance. This paper addresses this short fall by focusing on the manufacturing industry in China and analysing its R&D performance. The authors use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate 29 sectors of manufacturing in Shandong province, a region with a very competitive manufacturing system. The analysis indicates that only three of those manufacturing sectors are efficient. When efficiency was decomposed into technical and scale efficiency, there are eight sectors with HTE (High Technical Efficiency) and LSE (Low Scale Efficiency), eleven sectors with LTE (Low Technical Efficiency) and HSE (High Scale Efficiency), seven sectors with LTE (Low Technical Efficiency) and LSE (Low Scale Efficiency). The results reflect lower technological innovation capability of manufacturing R&D in China.

We propose a retailer's inventory replenishment policy to cooperate with suppliers in a periodic review. The retailer shares an advanced replenishment plan based on demand forecast with the supplier and commits cumulative periodic order quantity of the same planning horizon with advanced replenishment plan within range of a lower and upper percentage of the planned quantity. Using a year sales data of products with different delivery-lead-times and ordering cycles from a leisure food retail chain store in China, We contrast this policy through simulation with the store's previous policy in terms of inventory turnover performance and the error between stock level and actual demand. The result shows that the new policy can effectively improve the performance measures.

In this paper, we first study the customer behaviors in an rechargeable single-server queueing system in which both optimistic and pessimistic customers who adopt different uncertainty decision criteria exist in the market. All the potential customers can't observe the queue length and are informed that the serve time is exponentially distributed with unknown parameter, which belongs to μ1, μ2. We study and compare the equilibrium percentages of queueing up among optimistic and pessimistic customers. We find that the former one is no less than the latter one. Besides, we do the necessary sensitive analysis and find that the price is not always has negative influence on the enthusiasm of queueing of the customers.
