Thanks to fast development of mobile technologies, it is possible to use modern mobile phones for different purposes and in areas for which they weren't primarily intended. For example: entertainment, spreading information and so on. This paper deals with application for mobile technologies in process of learning in the form of so called mobile learning or mLearning. The basis for this form of education is the opportunity to learn anywhere and anytime. In this paper we analyse so far presented researches, projects and commercial applications in the field of education. The goal of our research was to design and implement application for smartphone, which will offer to students' advantages of modern mobile devices in the process of computer programming learning. One of the functions of this application is to plan the learning process, so the student would use his free time to study. We have analysed the possibility of using mobile devices in the context of existing education system. We have designed and implemented an application NoMEd for educational content synchronization. And we also achieved actual learning results by training on the selected mobile device.

Today Europe has some 4000 institutes of higher education in 45 countries; 35% provide graduates in engineering. All institutes contribute to the creation of a knowledge-based society which is rooted in higher education, innovation and research. Europe's added value would be based on the new knowledge generated within the European Research Area. The ideal mechanism for knowledge creation and transfer is when the best universities will become the gold standard i.e. the excellence. Thus priority will be given to academic and research standards and the Bologna process assists in the implementation of this trend. University of Miskolc and its relevant Departments are striving for excellence by four new Research Centers in Engineering. They improve both academic and research standards and in such a way contribute to knowledge society.

In spite of increased use of information and communication technologies in many areas, E-learning is not widely used by Slovak universities as it is still considered as an inferior way of education. In the article we deal with the advantages and disadvantages of E-learning. We concentrate on adaptive E-learning as a tool to overcome the disadvantages. On the practical experience of School of Management we present how adaptive e-learning might be applied in the area of higher education.

In the last years artificial intelligence (AI) approaches have been proposed by the knowledge engineers in the context of e-learning technologies. These approaches offer intelligent methodologies, techniques, and algorithms that can help solving problems in a variety of education/learning/training domains. These techniques have been successfully used in solving many of the e-learning problems. On the other side, the convergence of AI technologies, educational technologies and web technologies is enabling the creation of web-based intelligent e-learning technology. In recent years, network-based teaching and learning has become widespread, with bespoke solutions by individual institutions and standardizing initiatives for learning technologies. Such technologies will provide a unique opportunity to distribute learning/education/training across multiple sites while dramatically reducing travel related costs. This talk introduces some of AI approaches to knowledge-based systems from the literature and the research results of the author and his colleagues that have been carried out in recent years on developing intelligent e-Learning systems in medical domain as an example.

The exponential growth of mobile technology, advances in wireless technologies and popularity of handheld devices, have opened up new accessibility opportunities for education. A characteristic of today's society is the increasing use of modern information and communication technologies in all areas. Investment in mobile device is an important step to improve the quality of life in our dynamic society. The paper analyses the impact of m-learning on the educational process and describes characteristics of m-learning applications. For the evaluation of characteristics are described metrics and measured values are used to determine the m-learning application overall quality level. The value is determined by aggregating each factor value and taking into consideration importance coefficient.

Nowadays there are two trends - the globalization and specialization. Due to the specialization it is difficult to find a person with the same area of interest in the same locality. Modern technologies allow people, who are geographically widespread to work together. Information and communication technologies currently enable this kind of distance cooperation and allow reducing the need for frequent physical contact. This paper deals with the collaborative tools used by instructors or education professionals. The collaborative tools represent a category of a wide range of tools, from simple text-based e-mail clients to complex online meeting tools. We present several kinds of collaborative tools that are suitable for groups of different size.

The article is devoted to presentation of the concept and results of the Private secondary professional school in Poprad that is actually realization of the vision of two high school teachers on how education might look like at high school. Based on the inclusion of Private secondary professional school into the school system and the subsequent approval of the experimental verification of branches of study the founder began to build a school, which is based on two main priorities - high quality educational process and modern hardware and software. The school where students have their own laptops, use electronic books along with an educational portal, do test and homework via the internet and where parents can check the results by means of the electronic register of students' grades. The school which offers their students new perspective branches of study tailor-made according to the current and future requirements of the market, i.e. without the school subjects that are not relevant anymore, and with an ongoing innovative curriculum; the school with enthusiastic highly qualified teachers using new methods and forms of teaching including modern technique. The school that partners with the university sector to ensure the follow-up study of the graduates provides video conferencing for specialized subjects and conversational courses with schools abroad. Private secondary professional school, Ul.29.augusta 4812 in Poprad, officially began on 01.09.2008, the founder of which is Tatranská Akadémia.

In an Economic Statistics course, we were faced with the challenge of forming mathematical thinking in students with often strongly negative attitudes towards mathematics. We had to contend with a reduced number of hours compared to courses in the previous accreditation. For instruction, we chose the creation of simple statistical models in a spreadsheet application, which could be created even without understanding how and why a theory works. Theoretical justification and the derivation of models was required of only the best students.

Our studies should not finish getting university degree. It is important work on our abilities and improve skills. Certified trainings which lead to get certificates have importance for your future career path development and application in practice. To worth money and time you invest, the best way is to choose authorized training center. You get to know how Cisco Leraning Partner operates, what advantages it has to study at company with international presence and a longterm tradition. We believe that only a strong and experienced partner can help you to get valuable knowledge necessary for personal development and subsequent use in daily work.
