Intellectual disability is a disorder that affects the child's daily social and practical skills. For this reason, unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle and physical movement limitation are the most common lifestyle problems in children with intellectual disabilities. Parents' opinions, attitudes, alexithymic conditions and social skill levels are effective in the participation of students with intellectual disabilities and other special needs in sports education. The aim of this research is to examine the problems encountered by students with intellectual disabilities in their participation in sports education in terms of parents' opinions. The study is based on the Socio-Ecological Model (SEM), one of the social model theories, as a theoretical framework. The research is a case study, one of the qualitative research approaches. In this research, the study group was reached by the maximum variation sampling method. Parents of children with intellectual disabilities in different cities of Turkey were included in the research in the 2021-2022 academic year. During the research process, three different study groups receiving special education and rehabilitation center, special lower class and inclusive education were studied. Data were collected by individual interview technique. The data obtained from all three groups were thematic analysis and analyzed by creating codes, categories and themes. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, the findings were collected under four main themes in accordance with the theoretical framework. These are individual problems, social problems, problems caused by the physical environment and problems caused by politics. As a result of the research, it was determined that, according to the parents, the reason why their children with intellectual disabilities cannot participate in sports training is primarily due to problems arising from society. This situation can be evaluated within the exosystem and macro system according to SEM. Based on this model, which focuses on the individual and examines the effects on the individual, the two systems located at the outermost center have the greatest impact on individuals with intellectual disabilities.

This study aimed to examine the effects of recreational football on functional movement skill (FMST) levels of elderly men. 57 (65.05 ± 2.5) elderly men who participated in the study were randomly divided into the football group (FG, n= 28) and the control group (CG, n= 29). Data were collected with the FHTT scale and investigeted via mixed design ANOVA. The data were analyzed considering the significance level of p<.05. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in the deep squatting movement (p>.096), and there was a statistical difference between the times (p<.002). Statistically significant differences were observed between groups, between times and group*time interaction at high stepping, respectively (p<.008, p<.001, p<.035). Statistically significant differences were observed between groups in a single-line move and in group*time interaction, respectively (p<.008, p<.006). There was a statistically significant difference between the groups in shoulder mobility (p<.001). There was no statistically significant difference between the times and in the group*time interaction, respectively (p>.98, p>.44). Statistically significant differences were observed between groups, between times and in group*time interaction in active straight leg raising, respectively (p<.004, p<.001, p<.035). There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in trunk stability movement (p>.089). There was a statistically significant difference between the times and in the group*time interaction (p<.024). Statistically significant difference was observed between groups and between times in rotational stability movement, respectively (p<.001, p<.001). There was no statistically significant difference in the groups*time interaction (p>.065). Statistically significant differences were observed in FHTT total scores between groups, between times and in the interaction of groups*time, respectively (p<.001, p<.001, p<.001, p<.001). The results show that recreational football is effective on FHTT and is a powerful exercise option in improving mobility, which is important for elderly individuals to maintain their quality of life.

In the 2022 Qatar World Cup, FIFA increased additional time by adding every moment when the ball isn’t played to the play time as an allowance for time lost. This also increased the number of goals scored during additional time. This research studies the impact of goals scored during additional time on match results caused by this extension in the second half of matches in Turkish Male Football Super League. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used. 250 matches played on weeks 1st–30th of 2022–2023 season of Turkish Spor Toto Male Football Super League were analyzed with document analysis, a qualitative research method. The matches, results, additional time, and goals scored during additional time were recorded. Then matches were separated into two equal-numbered groups including before and after the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The 125 matches on weeks 1st–14th and the 125 matches on weeks 14th–30th were analyzed for the number of total goals, total additional time, and the number of total goals scored during additional time with causal-comparative research model as a quantitative research method. In this research, Frequencies Analysis chosen from statistical analyses, Paired Sample t-Test and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used. According to the results, especially after the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the matches aren’t only ninety minutes for footballers any more. The matches may last up to two hours with extended additional time. As a conclusion of this research, teams can be suggested to consider this situation and properly organize training plans, programs.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between physical activity levels and social media addiction in adolescents. The study was designed as a descriptive correlational study, and the research group consisted of 160 volunteer students (90 female, 70 male) residing in Agri, Turkey. Two scales were used to collect data: the Social Media Addiction Scale for Adolescents and the short form of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. The data were analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between the physical activity levels of the participants and their social media addiction (p>0.05). However, a strong positive correlation was found between the genders of the participants and their moderate physical activity and total physical activity levels (p 0.05), but a weak positive correlation was found between social media addiction and the age of the students (p < 0.05). The study concludes that there is no significant relationship between social media addiction and physical activity levels in adolescents. However, there is a positive correlation between the genders of the participants and their physical activity levels. These findings may be useful in developing interventions to promote physical activity and reduce social media addiction in adolescents.

Although rectus femoris (RF) injuries are rare, it is an important muscle that should be considered because of its contribution to actions such as shooting and fast running in football. In the literature, there is no consensus on which conservative or surgical methods should be preferred in RF total rupture. Although MRI is the gold standard method in the detection of injury, there is a controversy in the literature for post-injury imaging and follow-up. In addition, there is a lack of diagnostic imaging methods in the literature on how training load affects athletes. In current study, the effect of training load on athletes is evaluated by thermography after treatment of the RF muscle with different methods. This study is worthy of being a case report in terms of providing evidence on how the training load affects the sports lives of athletes who return to sports after surgery or conservative treatment.

The relationship between the reaction time and the total running time of male (n=407) and female (n=345) athletes competing in the 60-meter wind sprint branch at the world indoor championships between 2006 and 2022 and the competition hour was examined in this study. Statistically significant and negative relationships were found between competition hour and athletes' reaction times, competition hour and athletes' competition result ratings in both genders (rho<0.040; p<0.05). When the subject is examined in terms of the stages of the competitions, no relationship was found for both genders in the final stage while the same relationships were preserved in the semi-final stage. At the qualification stage, a positive relationship was observed between the competition hour and the reaction time in both men (rho=0.25) and women (rho=0.22). In particular, it will be important that the competition time zones in the qualification stage are in similar circadian zones so as not to create a disadvantage among the athletes, and that the competition programs should be prepared by taking the performance-limiting and performance-supporting time zones into account.

In this study, it was aimed (i) to compare teachers' educational game playing self-efficacy in terms of gender, age, marital status, educational status, seniority, different branches and (ii) to examine educational game playing self-efficacy levels. General survey method was used in the research. The sample group of the study consisted of 50 physical education and sports, 50 preschool and 50 classroom teachers, totalling 150 teachers working in Alanya district. In data collection, the 'Educational Play Self-Efficacy Scale' developed by Altınkök and Yılmaz (2018) and the demographic information form were applied online via Google® forms to the individuals who voluntarily participated in the study. The data obtained from the study were analysed using IBM SPSS 25.0 statistical package programme. Since the data showed normal distribution as a result of the kurtosis and skewness test, Independent T test was used for binary variables and One Way Anova test was used for three or more variables. As a result of the findings, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the participants' educational game playing competences in terms of age, seniority and branch variables. However, no significant difference was found in terms of gender and educational status variables. In addition, while physical education and sports teachers' self-efficacy in playing educational games is better than other branch teachers, pre-school teachers' efficacy levels in the application dimension are lower than other branches. It was determined that teachers' self-efficacy for playing educational games was at a high level, but there were differences in their self-efficacy for playing educational games in terms of some variables.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of athlete mindfulness, which is expressed as the ability of athletes to establish a cause-effect relationship without losing the perception of reality in the moments and situations related to sports, on the development of their psychological skills, which is emphasized by sports psychologists to positively affect athlete performance by 85%. This study was designed according to the relational screening and causal comparison methods in order to examine the interaction between the variables. The study group comprised of 362 athletes who can be reached by non-random sampling methods and determined according to the criterion sampling method. As a data collection tool "Athlete Psychological Skills Assessment Scale" developed by Smith et al., (1995) and adapted to Turkish culture by Erhan et al. (2015) was used. Also, “Athlete Mindfulness Scale” developed by Thienot et al. (2014) and adapted to Turkish culture by Tingaz (2020) was used. In the analysis of the data obtained, the demographic variables of the participants were analyzed by correlation and t-test in independent samples, and structural equation model was used in determining the effect of mindfulness levels of athletes on the development of their psychological skills. As a result, it has been concluded that the mindfulness of the athletes is a significant predictor of the development of the psychological skills of the athletes and explains it at the level of .30.

The concept of leisure time, which has attracted the attention of scientists from the past to the present, appears in many areas of life. In today's world, the busy pace of work, the epidemic process we are in and the many difficulties experienced once again emphasize the importance of effective use of time. At this point, individuals who cannot use their free time effectively and efficiently are likely to experience the perception of boredom with exposure to restrictions. The rapidly developing technology has brought with it many innovations such as computers and the internet, which have become an inseparable part of our lives. For this reason, technology, which has been developing rapidly in recent years, has brought many innovations such as computers and the internet, which have become an inseparable part of our lives. Thus, over time, a huge sector has been formed on the axis of digital games, and digital games continue to increase their popularity in the world with phenomena such as e-sports. In the process, digital games are developed to become more refined for the motivation of individuals to play digital games, increasing their addictive effects. In this direction, in our study, the relationship between our young people's perception of being bored in leisure time and digital game addiction, which is one of the valuable building blocks of the future, will be investigated.
