The purpose of this research is to identify the factors influencing the purchase intention of hybrid cars among Penang consumers in Malaysia. The study was grounded by using TPB theory. A self-administered survey was carried out, and a total of 140 completed responses were obtained from consumers in Penang, Malaysia. The adopted sampling method was convenience sampling. Four hypotheses were developed, and data were analysed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The result derived from the analysis revealed that perceived value and environmentalism have significant positive relationships with the purchase intention of the hybrid car. In contrast, perceived risk has a significant negative relationship with the purchase intention of a hybrid car. Surprisingly, perceived government policy has an insignificant impact on the purchase intention of hybrid cars. Limitations and suggestion for future research are presented in the final section of the article.

The human beings have been facing great challenges during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic nowadays. However, the number of research regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and challenges of rural entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 pandemic is quite limited. The objectives of this research are to explore the challenge of rural entrepreneurs during the pandemic and to discover the affected SDG by those challenges. This research was done at Rural Community Centre (RCC) of Kampung Jelintoh, Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It was the most active RCC in conducting entrepreneurship programmes in 2019. This exploration research utilised qualitative approach which involved an in-depth interview by using a semi-structured interview format. Six entrepreneurs were selected through a non-probability sampling technique - a purposive sampling from the list of rural entrepreneurs. The data were analysed using a thematic analysis method. The results disclosed two main themes of the challenges. The first theme was business operation that comprises operation disruption, decrease in demand, shortage of logistic supply, and operation closure. The second theme involves business finance which includes cash flow problems, unexpected increase in production cost, and no access to economic stimulus package. It is suggested that all types of rural businesses be allowed to: operate normally, ensure the smoothness of logistics supply, be offered with financial aids, reduce the production cost, and create an easy-access entry to economic stimulus package. Nevertheless, the business operations must adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure.

Involvement in sports is a part of a healthy lifestyle that is highly recommended to improve quality of life and well-being. Activities carried out individually or in groups significantly provide both physical and spiritual benefits. Alternatively, traditional archery is one of the considerable sports which are beneficial physically and spiritually, and therefore participation in this particular sport is open to individuals or groups regardless of age or gender. The observations made during traditional archery training sessions and tournaments in 2019-2021 led to a significant increase in community participation and involvement in this sport. Due to the pandemic outbreak recently, the lifestyle of people is remarkably affected especially in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the focus of the study is to provide an alternative way in enhancing a healthy family lifestyle through archery activity. Previous studies have shown the number of family involvements in archery activity is impactful in increasing health quality tremendously. Furthermore, archery is also specifically recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and thus provides intrinsic values triggering the Muslim enthusiast to participate in this sport. This study applies a qualitative method and depends much on textual research, interviews, and observation. The finding indicates that community participation in traditional group archery activities through family institutions is very encouraging. The finding also has proven that archery alternatively, is impactful in integrating the well-being of family institutions in terms of physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual. Hence, this study potentially provides opportunities for the community to acknowledge archery activity in theory and practice, as well as encouragement to lead a healthy lifestyle as a family.

To date, there has been limited knowledge on the applicability of the spline interpolation method to estimate coastal water quality parameters. This study aims to assess the performance of the regularised and tension spline interpolation techniques for predicting and mapping the phosphate concentration in the surface water of Pulau Tuba, Langkawi, Kedah. Sampling points were set up randomly along the coastal water of Pulau Tuba in November 2018. Samples were obtained using the Niskin Water Sampler at 1 meter below the surface and immediately transported into the marine technology laboratory. Phosphate levels were determined using an Ultraviolet Visible spectrophotometer and the ascorbic acid technique. The Geographic Positioning System (GPS) was used to record the geolocation of each sampling point. The training set (50%) and the testing set (50%) were chosen randomly based on 20 sampling points. The regularized and tension spline interpolation methods were used for this study. Evaluation of prediction of models was carried out using the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) statistics. The study found that the tension spline interpolation method better predicted phosphate concentration. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) was reported at 0.106 and 0.094 for the regularized and tension spline interpolation methods, respectively. Concerned parties can utilize the study's findings as guidelines for monitoring, managing, and developing strategic strategies for the long-term development of the coastal waters of Pulau Tuba, Langkawi, Kedah.

Increased global warming and climate change have long been a global problem of concern, and workplace organizations may have their own contributing elements. Thus, this study focuses on the concept of employee green behavior (EGB) that contributes to environmental sustainability by producing something sustainable and environmentally friendly, and at the same time can improve job performance. The objective of this study is to explain the concept of EGB, identify its components and describe it from Islamic perspective. The importance of EGB is also studied and its implications as an organization's ability to remain competitive while prioritizing environmental sustainability. Data were collected through reading highlights from previous research results related to EGB and the like. The results of previous research either according to Islamic or contemporary perspectives were also found to uphold and be optimistic about the idea of implementing EGB initiatives in the workplace as it has shown significant results in the development of individual employees in terms of psychological, emotional, and physical. The practice of EGB needs to be integrated with the guidelines set out in the teachings of Islam to produce a more holistic sustainability. This EGB practice has a positive impact not only on the organization, but on the community and the world as well. Organizations certainly need to have green policies in the workplace and be actively practiced not only for energy conservation or effective resource management approaches, but also as a commitment to universal sustainability.

This article examines the literature study of the current situation of microplastic pollution in the marine ecosystems of Malaysia. The size, density, types of polymers, colour, and origins of microplastic in the ocean, coastal, and estuarine environments are all discussed in this article. ScienceDirect and Google Scholar search engines were used to collect, analyse, and sort the information. According to the literature search, the bulk of microplastics found in Malaysian ocean samples was between 100 and 5000 micrometres in size. The density of the microplastics discovered ranged from 0.88 g cm3 to 1.01 g cm3, which is lower than the density of seawater. In addition, the types of polymers were polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polystyrene, and polyamide. Red and transparent colour were two common colours found in the Malaysian ocean. The sources of microplastic such as industrial activities, anthropogenic activities, agricultural activities, and personal care products. Because microplastics can cause physical and chemical harm to marine species, pollute the natural environment, and negatively affect social and economic sectors, the critical information provided in this article may help government and non-government organizations develop strategic monitoring policies.

Sustainability has long been discussed in many perspectives considering its importance to our lives. The practices embedded in Sustainability must consistently be done to achieve the goals that have been set in the Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) especially to fight a climate change and to create the sustainable cities and communities. To practise sustainability successfully, people should be aware and have a better understanding of sustainability issues and practices. Thus, this paper intends to look at the trends and issues in the awareness and perception towards sustainability. A conceptual paper in nature, this study reviewed past research works which included the perception and awareness of sustainability. This paper gathered study patterns and accessed the findings from multiple previous studies. Based on the findings, the awareness of sustainability was found to sustainability principles among the society. Education is recognised to have played a significant role of increasing the awareness of sustainability. Hopefully, this study will shed a light on the perspective of awareness and the perception towards sustainability from many different angles, which perhaps could lead to a new direction of study on this topic.

The minbar is an important mosque element found in the prayer hall. A range of height, width and length is available. The proportion of the minbar to the prayer hall is sometimes overlooked, diminishing the interior aesthetic value. The golden ratio is a design choice that is vital in developing the optimum product design. It is often recognised that using this ratio effectively is a terrific method to create. Thus, this study aims to apply the Golden Ratio principle to the minbar by describing the aesthetic value and interior proportion mathematically. This study determined the appropriate ratio of anthropometric elements via golden spiral template made in AutoCAD programme. When a/b equals a+b/a, the ratios equal 1.618. A total of 27 extant minbars from mosques in Johor were studied. The study's conclusions focused on the front and side elevations of the minbar's width, height, and depth. 11.1% (3 minbar) had the best proportion among the 27 components. 1.5 and 1.7 are close to the golden spiral ratio's ideal ratios. In general, the 88.9% minbar does not meet the golden ratio requirements for height, width, and weight. The Golden Ratio is used to make beautiful minbars. The proportion of mathematics related to user comfort and aesthetic appeal. The elegant design creates a safe and comfortable minbar.
