Parents may feel a sense of despair when taking care of children with cerebral palsy. Some parents may even find difficulties in accepting the fact that their children were born with the disability. For this reason, needs analysis for parents of children with cerebral palsy is important by using a family counseling service that fits the family culture and socio-economic condition. This research aims to explain the parental needs of parents of children with cerebral palsy. This research used a quantitative approach by applying descriptive statistical analysis and was conducted in Padang with 21 samples of parents of children with cerebral palsy. Since the 12th century, French culture has been important to the world because of its excellence, particularly with its influence on language, literature, philosophy and streams of thought. It represents an art of living, marked by traditional values, among which is the highly appreciated gastronomy, and a constant recognition of its haute couture. It plays a role only in French diplomacy that involves political, economic, and cultural action. The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since the end of 2019 has caused many problems. While solidarity should have strengthened amid a crisis, intolerance has grown even more. The same thing happened in Indonesia. Based on the motto “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”, this research intends to formulate a solution to alleviate this problem. This study uses the hermeneutic method to find its relevance to the issue of humanization. The results of this study indicate that the main point of view of Flexible Humanism is a solution that can be offered to overcome the problem of intolerance in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is found in the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika." In practice, humans must carry out an open dialogue that can be carried out through society in order to destroy human categorization and deconstruct the meaning of humans themselves which are the main causes of intolerance.

Happiness is the goal of mankind and an eternal philosophical discourse. The main values for achieving happiness have been explored since the era of logos replaced mythology, and become an important theme of philosophy because it is relevant to this day. Some of the philosophers have contributed to developing teachings about the main values in realizing happiness in people's lives. This article aims to explore the ethical thinking of John Locke, who is known as one of the founders of empiricism. Recognition of individual property that supports the human goal to live a happy life. This concept then becomes the basis for the development of a market economy and global capitalism, following the logic of capital accumulation that has no end, and blurs the rationality of the boundaries of individual rights and collective rights. The research method used is a literature study, by tracing the works of John Locke in the field of ethics, especially on human rights and property rights. The works on John Locke's thoughts are also a source of this research. From the results of the study, it can be shown that not all of John Locke's thoughts on ethics are relevant to Indonesian conditions. As a philosophical discussion, John Locke's ethics can enrich concepts and theories about citizens' property rights that need to be protected by the state, but as a policy it needs modifications that are by the main values according to the needs of society.

Massive transformation and multifaceted nature of innovation due to increasing interconnectivity in globalisation era–particularly through the discourse of the Internet of Things (IoT)– have made technology and its instruments nearly inevitable in human life, not least in the economic sector. Cryptocurrency as one of the products of this activity is getting a great deal of public attention. Over time, this currency is gradually favoured by many people around the world, especially with the demands for ease of business and transactions in the era of digitalisation. The shift allows individuals with access and associated resources to store personal assets that cannot be censored/detected by central and banking authorities, carry out anonymous financial transactions, make high-speed transfers, invest in start-ups, mine new cryptocurrency, and even buy land or property in the virtual world/metaverse. All these advantages and conveniences encourage individuals, especially businesspersons and investors to switch to cryptocurrencies. However, its volatility also incites hesitation to adopt it as a medium of exchange/trading transactions. Due to the functionality, legality, and disputable implications of its use, this issue evokes our interest to study it as a subject matter, especially through the lens of axiology. This study employs a qualitative method to generate descriptive results. Cryptocurrency serves as a form of digital asset that functions as a virtual medium of exchange run in a blockchain system and is secured using an automated cipher called cryptography. From an axiological point of view, the writer considers at least 5 (five) values constituting priority scales in crypto transactions: trust, agreement, utility, pride, and speculation. Finally, the writer concludes that cryptocurrency utilisation cannot be separated from the axiological perspective of science, considering the gap between personal and social values is pertinent.

This contribution investigates the discursive occurrence of key terms of the Indonesian debates about “modernization”, “cultural transformation”, and “pembaruan” (renewal). The sample consists of the book titles documented in Worldcat.org, from 1945 through 2020. This sample is gathered through various searches and then manually looked through one by one in order to omit duplicates. Selected titles are then further analyzed in a qualitative approach. The evidence generated by this method shows a close temporal link with the so-called “New Order” governments since 1966. This article can therefore serve to further analyze individual elements of New Order discourses on modernization discourse and modernization theory.
