This research aimed to come out with a proposed framework for self-financing in the Palestinian universities and to investigate its relation to the quality of university education by applying the framework to the upper and middle management in the universities so as to identify the nature of the relation and the impact of self-financing on the quality of university education. This was tested through the research hypotheses, A questionnaire was developed and distributed to a sample of 100 employees, and 75 questionnaires were returned. The research concluded with the following main findings: The best way to finance the universities is to rely on tuition fees, This would help universities to have a greater control over their decisions and to sell outputs of the best colleges when searching for self-financing by doing business. It was also found out that there is a positive relationship between self-financing and the quality of university education A proposed framework has been created to adopt its phases for the development of self-financing in the Palestinian universities to achieve a more effective quality university education. The study aimed to examine the commitment of female lecturers' to the basic rules of developing objective tests in light of some of variables (years of experience and college or major) in the Faculties of Education and Arts at the University of Hail. The sample of the study comprised (73) female lecturers in these two faculties, selected purposively. In order to avhieve the study objective, the researcher developed a research tool for which reliability and validity were calculated; and then it was administered to the sample of the study. The data obtained was analyzed using the analytical descriptive method. The results indicated that the percentage of using objective tests was 100%, and that the lecturers’ commitment of using rules of objective tests was medium level. The results also showed significant statistical differences between the lectures in favor of longer years of experience (7–10) years. However, there was no significant statistical difference between the lectures that could be attributed to major or college. The performance of the faculty members plays a pivotal role in the university’s development, because it directly affects its outcomes that are oriented primarily to serve the community; it’s therefore necessary to pay attention to this performance. Most universities in the world have sought to improve the teachers’ performance, through the development of an integrated system of evaluation that is based on indicators affecting all aspects of this performance. However, the problem is whether there are standards and indicators of good quality to evaluate the performance, especially achieving the quality of higher education today is mainly linked to the quality of the educational skills of university professors. Therefore, this study attempted to address the following questions: What role do teachers’ performance measurement indicators have in achieving quality? To what extent the application of these indicators is of quality from the perspective of professors of the Faculties of Law and Political Science and Humanities at the University of Ouargla? To answer these questions, the descriptive approach was followed by developing a questionnaire which was distributed to a random sample consisting of 212 professors of both colleges. After the analysis data and interpretation of results, the study revealed the following: The teaching performance of university professor is considered an integrated system which is of great importance in achieving educational goals at the university level. The evaluation of university teachers’ performance plays a major role in improving the level of educational performance. Even though the university professor recognizes the importance of the measurement process of educational performance, more than half of the sample were of the opinion that this process needs more indicators, because the existing ones are characterized by inflexibility and formality; and this affects the quality of the process. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of entrepreneurial characteristics (locus of control, self-confidence, need for achievement, independency and responsibility, risk-taking, creativity) on entrepreneurial intentions among business students in the University of Science and Technology, Yemen. The researcher used descriptive analytical methods to answer the study questions, and used a questionnaire for collecting quantitative data from the study sample which consisted of 157 university students. The study findings showed that there was a significant effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on the intentions to start new ventures among business students in the University of Science and Technology. Based on the regression analysis applied in the study, results also showed that students' locus of control, and their creativity level were of the highest influencing variables on students' intentions, whereas self-confidence appeared to be the lowest influencing variable. The study concluded that students of administrative sciences have several characteristics and traits of a successful entrepreneur. This enhances their enthusiasm towards initiating their own businesses, given proper support. In light of the findings, the researcher presented a set of recommendations to the stakeholders. Keywords: Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial characteristics, Entrepreneurial intention, Small enterprises.

The current study aimed to determine the quality and accreditation requirements, according to the NCAAA, for the curriculum development of the departments of Special Education as perceived by faculty members. Moreover, the study aimed to determine the relationship between the faculty awareness and other factors such as, gender, academic rank, teaching experience, participation in curriculum development, attendance of workshop, and participation in program development committees. The researcher created a survey to answer the research questions. A sample of (45) faculty members was chosen randomly from three main universities: King Khalid university, Jazan University, and Najran University. Statistical methods were used, including mean, frequencies, one sample t–test, one way ANOVA. The results indicated that the participants' awareness toward curriculum development requirements was generally very low, because of the limited number of faculty members and the newly established departments. It was recommended that quality culture should be disseminated, and moral and material support should be provided to the programs in these departments. This study aimed to propose a set of elements and mechanisms of marketing applied research in the Yemeni universities and ways of using such research to support community development. This can be done by assessing the extent of interest in the marketing of applied research and making use of them to serve and community development in the science and applied colleges at the Yemeni government universities, and determining the main obstacles in this regard from the point of view the study sample. The study sample included (287) individuals selected from teachers and researchers at the science and applied colleges in some Yemeni government universities, and research centers affiliated to them. The researchers adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and designed a questionnaire to gather primary data from the study sample. The researchers used some appropriate statistical methods to analyze the study data and test hypotheses. The study results showed that g science and applied colleges in the Yemeni universities do not pay enough attention to marketing applied scientific research, and to using such research in community service and development. The participants of the study indicated the presence of many obstacles to marketing of applied scientific research in the Yemeni universities. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the assessments of the study sample regarding the lack of attention paid by scientific and applied colleges in the Yemeni public universities to marketing of their scientific and applied research due to these variables (type, academic degree, and applied colleges) of the study sample individuals. The study concluded by providing a proposal covering some elements and mechanisms to be used for marketing applied researches of the science and applied colleges at the Yemeni Universities and to use them in community service and development. It also provided recommendations regarding the requirements of successful implementation for this proposal in practice. Keywords: science and applied colleges, applied research, marketing research

The research aimed to find out how far accreditation and quality assurance standards in Azal University for human development are implemented from the perspective of faculty members. To achieve this objective, to the researchers adopted descriptive analytical approach techniques. The research population was all the teaching staff at the university; and the sample consisted of (94) faculty members, (48.45 %) of the total number of the population. A questionnaire was designed to collect data relevant to the testing of the research objectives. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: the first included the personal data, while the second part included the standards of accreditation and quality assurance. The study revealed the following results: The mean of implementing standards as a whole was (3.44), the standard deviation (0.76), and the extent of the using the standards was (high). There were no significant differences between the research participants’ responses about the extent of using the standards due to the variables (gender – Qualification – college type – years of teaching experience). In light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, including the need to provide the necessary requirements for implementing accreditation and quality assurance standards, whether material, human or financial resources, and creating a positive conducive learning environment to be suitable and ready for a complete implementation of quality standards. One of the main suggestions made by the research was to conduct a similar study on government and private universities and community colleges in Yemen.
