This study aims to determine a pattern of harmonization of urban Muslim education in interfaith relations and forms of harmonization in Christian-majority schools in Manado. This research was qualitative research through a case study method. The research data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observation, and documentation. This research was conducted at the Manado State Senior High School, with the research subjects are the principal, teachers, and students. The results show that the first pattern of harmonization that occurs in urban Muslim education in the city of Manado is accommodation. Second, harmonization of urban Muslim education in Manado occurs in four forms, namely: (1) the existence of Islamic religious teachers; (2) the availability of Islamic education facilities and infrastructure; (3) the ease in performing praying for Muslim students and teachers; (4) the freedom to wear Muslim clothing for women and to use symbols of the Islamic religion in the school; and (5) the facilitation provided by the school to celebrate Islamic holidays (PHBI).

This article discusses on religious contestation on determination of Islamic Calendar in Urban Muslim society in Indonesia. An Indonesian Islamic calendar discourse is always dominated by Nahdatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah as two largest Islamic NGOs. The choice of individuals from this group to fill the office of Minister of Religious Affairs, the official authority, is a sign of the domination amongst these mass organizations. To analyze the contestation of religious authority, this paper recommends the application of an analytical framework of the Gramsci’s hegemony theory which illustrates the contestation between them. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with the two organizations' experts in Islamic astronomy, which were then evaluated using a descriptive approach. The finding of this paper reveal that the contestation between Nahdatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah not only in relation to the power, but also strengthening the identity of each group to shows their power on Islamic Calendar discourse in Indonesia.

This research examined the issue of religious traditions in Aceh from the perspective of understanding and interpreting the Quran. The research focuses on the beut darôh tradition, which culminates with the ceremony of kenduri khatam. In essence, this indigenous Acehnese ritual has been practiced for a long time in Acehnese culture and is exclusively celebrated during the month of Ramadan. The aim of beut darôh is to color the night during Ramadan after the tarawih prayer is done in every mosque and meunasah (Muslim house of worship), frequently in the midst of rural communities. This ritual culminated at the end of Ramadan with the commemoration of the kenduri khatam. This closing ritual encompasses the entire community. Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh were the primary locations to observe this practice evolving and changing. This research begins with the question, "Why are the beut darôh and kenduri khatam traditions able to develop in the middle of urban Acehnese society?" This study employed qualitative methodologies, incorporating grounded research. The findings of the study indicate that the beut darôh and kenduri khatam traditions are perceived as part of the Acehnese people's religious identity and culture. Beut darôh is not only a custom of reading the Quran together, but it is also an educational space for learning the Quran. Meanwhile, the people of Aceh view kenduri khatam as a sign of thankfulness as well as a social space including religious relationships and local traditions. Nonetheless, the beut darôh tradition, which was originally prevalent in Aceh's village communities, gradually expanded and persisted in Aceh's urban communities. In practice, however, there are some distinctions between the beut darôh tradition in rural and urban Acehnese societies.

This article discusses religious mobility in the lives of urban Muslim society in Australia by investigating organizational projects and religious practices. This paper uses ethnographic fieldwork consisting of in-depth interviews and hang-out in the organization meeting and gatherings among urban Muslim society in Australia. This paper argues that although urban Muslim society in Australia is associated with a Muslim minority, they contribute significantly to the development of Islamic education, Islamic altruism, and spirituality performance. Urban Muslim society in Australia demonstrates social sensitivity by establishing social institutions to show their embodied Muslim identity, such as Islamic Society of Melbourne Eastern Region (ISOMER) in Melbourne, Islamic Science and Research (ISRA) in Sydney, and Australian Sufi Association (ASA). They show their religious mobility as well as their religious practices as part of an agent of social change by promoting community engagement as an embodiment of social solidarity.

Hadiths are divided into Mutawatir and Ahad. The Mutawatir refers to the Hadith of qot'ul al-wurud or the hadith that is believed to be true, while the Ahad refers to zhon al-wurud in which its authenticity is still questioned as the cornerstone of Islamic Aqidah (creed). The purpose of this study is to find out the thoughts of Al-Bani on the authority of the Ahad Hadith as the basis of Aqidah. The method used in this study was library research with a content analysis approach. The results of the study revealed that the Hadith al-Ahad can be employed as the foundation of Aqidah when it meets the requirements of the Hadith’s authenticity. The condition of the Hadith's authenticity is that the sanad (chain of narrators) must be continually reported by the narrators (Rowi), whose agreement upon a lie is impossible (tsiqoh), and who are exempt from illah and syadz characteristics. Ahad Hadith which has been investigated and proven to be authentic (shahih Hadith) will be classified as qothil al-wurud rather than zhon al-wurud. Thus, Ahad Hadith can be employed as a foundation for Aqidah. The narration of Ahad Hadith is considered bid'ah because it was not carried out by the Prophet SAW and his companions. Keywords: Al-Bani, Hadith al-Ahad, Aqidah

The main problem and spectrum that is always faced by Indonesian Islamic Higher Education (PTKI) is the low and not optimal quality of the three missions of higher education, namely education, research, and service. Various problems related to this are increasingly visible from the fact that the system's alignment, and policies to the institutional leadership structure seem to leave quality as an agenda, and programs are not prioritized. Therefore, the aspects and functions of quality management at PTKI are important. Improvement in Quality Management in PTKI should be oriented to build a quality culture in all components and elements of the academic community The most urgent quality culture for PTKI that must be done in meeting quality standards is to strengthen the system and meet the accreditation standards that have been required to achieve maximum results. In the context of accreditation, building quality must also strengthen the position in the sector of coordination, synchronization, and supervision between the entire academic community. The most urgent quality culture for PTKI that must be done in meeting quality standards is to strengthen the system and meet the accreditation standards that have been required to achieve maximum results. The transformation of seven criteria into 9 criteria in the accreditation system has consequences and consistency in the assessment aspect that leads to the outcomes (achievements of the process and usefulness) that have been passed by PTKI with various implementations based on its quality standards/guidelines. This research uses qualitative methods that are descriptive-analytical and seeks to analyze how the supporting factors of quality culture exist PTKI. Oemar Said Tjokroaminoto and Alimin bin Prawirodirdjo were Indonesian founding fathers who played a salient role in the national movement and represented two influential groups and ideas of their time, Islamism, and communism. Due to their significant roles in the Indonesia independent movement and the broader Indonesian political thought, exploring their ideas is important. Hence, this article aims to analyze their thoughts on nationalism and socialism. By using a qualitative approach, this study traces two sources of data. First, references that contain the statements of these two figures and other scientific references. Second, confirming them based on analysis of two key informants' interviews. The study has demonstrated that Tjokroaminoto and Alimin's views on socialism and nationalism overlap in some regards and diverge in other aspects.

The issue of modernity that is crucial today is the development of secularism in various fields. One of the main things to highlight is the popularity of secularism, which has a worldview that is contrary to Muslims. It was Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas who was the most vocal in voicing his criticism and proposing the solutions he offered in the form of the concept of Islamization of Present Day Knowledge. The research method used by the author is descriptive analysis in analyzing the views of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas on Secularism. And the author uses the philosophical approach for this research. There are many confusions in Secularism thought, one of which is the opinion about the separation of Secularization and Secularism which in the end will also lead to Secularizationism. And the Islamization of contemporary Science is the most vocal form of Al-Attas' criticism of Secularism. Because with Islamization, the elements of secular Western culture, spirit, character, and personality contained in science can be cleaned.

Women's participation in Indonesian politics gives its own color for the democracy of the nation. The number of female voters in the DPT of General Election 2019 is greater than the number of male voters, becoming an important key to the future direction of Indonesia's politics, democracy, and governance. This causes women's voices to become significantly valuable as the entry gate for the struggle and the development of the face of Indonesian politics, democracy, and governance.
