This research aims to explore the reception of sexual communication messages within the context of marital relationships in the Durex "Unequal Dinner" advertisement series. The method employed in this study is qualitative-descriptive, utilising Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding Theory to understand the reception by the subjects. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with four married female subjects born between 1981 and 1996 from the millennial generation. They reside in East Java, Indonesia, have been married for less than 10 years, and are parents. The research highlights differences in the reception of the subjects, stemming from their diverse experiences and backgrounds. Factors such as geographical distance, societal culture, and sexual education influence how they receive the sexual communication messages presented in the advertisement. Simultaneously, a dominant-hegemonic narrative position was observed in the subjects' receptions, indicating a close alignment between their experiences and the sexual communication messages conveyed by the Durex "Unequal Dinner" advertisement series. However, it does not guarantee the subjects' interest in purchasing Durex products.

The research aims to map the pattern of cyberbullying content diversity produced by adolescents through social media. The netnographic method is used to observe cyberbullying behavior in adolescent communities that are connected through social media. The research is a realist ethnography in nature, describing cyberbullying behavior from the content of youth community conversations. Research participants were adolescents aged 17-22 years who used social media and had been involved in cyberbullying, both as perpetrators and/or victims. Data was collected through participatory observation by being directly involved in the participants' social media activities. The results of the study identify cyberbullying content that is often sent by perpetrators and received by victims. First, flaming - content that contains anger, harsh words and vulgarity. Second, online harassment – teasing, physically insulting and mocking parents' names. In addition, denigration was found - content created by gossiping about something that is not true; impersonation, uploading content that embarrasses the victim; and outing and trickery, sending dark jokes related to religion. The implications of this cyberbullying content mapping are for developing a literacy model for preventing cyberbullying behavior in adolescents who are easily exposed and unknowingly carry out cyberbullying behavior towards their peers.

The problem of the information crisis caused by the Covid-19 hoax has caused several polemics in the Banyumas community. The Covid-19 hoax has made people confused and ignored health protocols. The implication leads to an increase in the death rate in Banyumas. However, this condition was quickly realized by the Ir. Achmad Husein, Regent of Banyumas Regency. Achmad Husein actively clarifies the Covid-19 hoax by uploading content on his Instagram account, namely @ir_achmadhusein. His post shows Achmad Husein's efforts in managing the COVID-19 hoax crisis communication which is quite interesting. This is an important value in this research. Through the Mayring content analysis method, this research dissects the Instagram content of Ir. Achmad Husein, Banyumas Regent, through several units of analysis contained in the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT). The results showed that the implementation of the three crisis response strategies by Ir. Achmad Husein succeeded in providing comparative and holistic information for the people of Banyumas. Furthermore, through this strategy, Husein also succeeded in turning the information crisis caused by the Covid-19 hoax into a strategic opportunity in building his positive reputation.

In this day, media competition using technologies is competing to provide and reach the reader. Technologies are developing, and every medium has its own way of growing its activities. This study uses a qualitative method with the Continuum Convergence theory belonging to Daily, Demo, Spillman, and the management concept. The subjects in this study are two media companies named Riau Pos and The Star that compared to understand how media has been carrying out the implementation of Continuum Convergence to maintain its existence in the phenomena that occur, as well as see how the management side and compare it with other media implementation. This research found that Riau Pos and The Star have some differences and similarities in their implementation of continuum convergence. Point out how Riau Pos and The Star differ in managing social media and integrating the technologies.

Using Conversation Analysis, this paper explores the interaction between a mother and their children while giving morality messages. Conversation Analysis breaks down every interaction between a mother and their children to understand the success of interaction for a mother in delivering moral lessons to her children. By using a natural-setting audio recording and exporting the conversation through excerpts of conversations, this paper reveals three interesting findings from their interaction and turn-taking through varieties of turn-design sequences. The findings of this research show there are three ways of interaction used by mothers: 1) future forecasting, 2) authority-evoking, and 3) self-disclosing.

The Covid-19 pandemic has created a big impact on the way people work in nearly all countries around the world, that is the increasing use of video conferencing technology devices to run virtual meetings. Virtual meeting technology such as Zoom has been be labelled by many as a technology that was successfully adopted globally in the pandemic era. Using the combination of Van Loon's enframing/binding-use model with the restrictive effect on the use of technology from Neil Postman, this study is aimed to determine whether or not virtual meeting technology can be classified as successful technology, during and after the pandemic. By using literature review on a number of international and domestic scientific literatures supported by relevant datasets, this study concluded that the covid-19 pandemic has formed virtual meeting applications a successful technology due to its ability in maximizing the potential of enframing its utilities, binding users through habituation, and providing restrictions on the use of other alternatives. This study also found that in the future, hybrid work patterns are predicted to be the choice of many companies which makes virtual meeting devices will remain a successful technology both now and in the future.

Industry 4.0 makes everything shift from conventional to digital, and this conversion also changes media consumption habits among Generation Z. This generation is important because Generation Z is the largest digital consumer in Indonesia. This study discusses Generation Z’s media consumption in Indonesia during the pandemic. This study aims to discover how the pattern of media consumption and use of social media in Generation Z in the pandemic era coincides with the industrial era 4.0. This study uses a survey method of 1177 respondents, and this type of research is descriptive exploratory with purposive sampling. The age range of respondents is 15-25 years from all over Indonesia. An interesting finding from this study is that the media that are the main gates of Generation Z in getting information are instant messaging applications and social media. The primary purpose of media from Generation Z is to seek entertainment, but Generation Z is also looking for non-entertainment/serious information, such as information related to education and work.

The development of news about Covid-19 that hit almost the entire world, was conveyed massively by the mass media. The work process of journalists in reporting makes them vulnerable to infection. Photojournalists have to rack their brains to keep sending news. During the pandemic, female photojournalists experienced more obstacles and discrimination than before the pandemic. A strong patriarchal system gives rise to gender discrimination in the male-dominated photojournalist profession. This research is qualitative research with a critical paradigm. Researchers want to see the extent of discrimination against three female photojournalists in Indonesia during the pandemic. This research used qualitative methods, with semi-structured interviews, to explore the experiences of female photojournalists during the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings of this study are the existence of double burden gender discrimination, maternal discrimination, and layoff for those who have high salaries (discrimination based on pay) from the media where they work.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, lockdown regulations affected the mobility of Indonesians temporarily residing in southern Thailand. This study intends to investigate the difficulties they encountered, how they adapted to cultural differences in Thailand, and how they handled with an unpredictable living situation. Case study qualitative research approach was used to conduct the study. The results of the study showed that Indonesian citizens in Southern Thailand found problems related to: 1) Thai language and letters, 2) homesickness, 3) fear of being infected with Covid-19, 4) less halal cuisine is available for Muslims, 5) Worrisome reports in the media regarding the devastating effects of Covid-19. Their adaptation strategy is to: 1) recognize the cultural parallels between Indonesia and Thailand, 2) Develop close relationships between Indonesians in Thailand and their family, relatives, and friends. 3) Think positively, as Covid-19 will soon be finished, 4) Follow a new culture to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
