The study presents the early period of the history of the Aristotelian society on the basis of the theoretical principles of network analysis by Randall Collins. The theoretical basis of network analysis has significant heuristic capabilities and help to understand the process of development of the Aristotelian Society, which has turned from a group of philosophy enthusiasts into a professional philosophical association. It is emphasized that quantitative criteria of periodization are problematic because they do not take into account the complex intellectual atmosphere in British philosophy of the late XIX–early XX century. The article discusses popular historical and philosophical cliches that simplify the reflection of this period only as an arena of rivalry between British idealists and analytical philosophers. The important role of Shadworth Hodgson as the first president of the Aristotelian Society is also considered.

The archaeographic work aims to present the struggle of the White Army command in the East with the transitions of individual servicemen and entire units to the enemy at the end of June – beginning of July 1919 by the example of two orders of the commander of the 11th Yaitsky Corps of the Southern Army. These newly published documents, revealed in the funds of the Russian State Military Archive, reveal the White command’s understanding of the nature of this negative phenomenon and the logic of combating it. The theoretical basis of the study is the combination of the principle of consistency and an anthropological approach; this made it possible to present the published sources as part of counterintelligence measures in the white army, linking their appearance with specific personalities.

In this publication, the reader is offered a note compiled by a well-known participant in the White Movement in the South of Russia, Priest Vladimir Vostokov, in connection with the decision of the Supreme Church Administration Abroad on August 19, 1922 to execute Decree No. 348 of His Holiness Patriarch Tikhon and the united presence of the Holy Synod and the Supreme Church Council on the abolition of this very Administration. The decree became a turning point in the history of the Russian Church Abroad in the direction of its separation from the Moscow Patriarchate and the violation of its internal unity. In addition to discussing the decree, Father Vladimir makes a lengthy digression into history, describing the events of the Russian Revolution and the Civil War, assessing the leaders and participants of the White Movement, inevitably touching on the Jewish question, as well as the reasons for the defeat of the White Movement.

The reference to this topic is due to necessity to create the most complete image of the region, as well as to expand ideas about the channels and methods of its formation in the official Soviet culture. The present scientific work describes the participation of Omsk region in the «Great Review», a unique propaganda and cultural and educational Soviet project of the 1930s which aroused great interest not only in the USSR but throughout the world. Special attention is paid to the self-presentation of Omsk region in such pavilions as «Siberia», «Grain», «Cattle breeding», «Rabbit breeding», «Veterinary medicine», «Gardening», «Printing», «Young naturalists». It is shown that the present and future of Omsk village was clearly associated with the scientific achievements: selection work of triticum-agropyrum hybrids carried out by the Siberian Research Institute of Grain Economy led by the Academician N. P. Tsitsin, the method of growing fruit trees in Siberian conditions developed by the doctor of agricultural sciences A. D. Kizyurin. Infotainment, sciencetainment, visualization and media technologies are noted as the main methods and ways of presenting information. Guidebooks on the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition of 1939–1941 are introduced into scientific circulation. They have not been involved in domestic research on the history of Siberia of the Soviet period.

This archaeographic publication is devoted to the study of the Jewish question during the Civil War in the east of Russia. A memorandum of the Irkutsk official S. A. Shimansky to the Supreme Ruler Admiral A. V. Kolchak with a proposal to deport Jews from Russia is added. The introductory preface to the document, based both on the works of historians on the situation of Jews in Russia and on clerical sources characterizing the personality of the author of the memo, analyzes the conditions that made it possible for an official in White Siberia to create it. The publication is of interest to researchers of the events of the Russian Revolution and the Civil War in Russia, the ethnopolitical history of the Russian state and Siberia.

The paper is devoted to a historiographical review of the literature dedicated to the study of the history of the Russian necropolis in Japan and the prospects for further research on this topic. The external conditions of increasing interest in the topic of the history of the Russian necropolis abroad are characterized. The definition of the historical necropolis is given. The review is structured according to the chronological principle. The main studies of Japanese and Russian historians are revealed. The authors identified the primary studies in Russian and Japanese and concluded that is not much research on the history of the Russian necropolis in Japan until the end of the twentieth century, but the relevance of this topic in the past three decades. The paper shows the predominant exhaustion of the subject within the framework of traditional necropolistics. The paper proposes possible options for further study of the history of the Russian necropolis in Japan within discipline Memory studies and also with the use of cultural anthropology, social history and political sciences approaches.

The article analyzes the monograph by A. S. Puchenkov and V. V. Kalinovsky «Spiritual Outpost of Russia. Orthodox clergy of the Crimea in 1914–1920», dedicated to the activities of Orthodox clergy of the Crimea at a turning point in Russian history — from the beginning of the Great War to the end of the Civil War in Russia. A. S. Puchenkov and V. V. Kalinovsky, in the opinion of the reviewer, are able to competently put together both sources known to experts for a long time, and documents that they introduced into historical circulation for the first time. S. L. Firsov separately emphasizes as a positive fact that the authors paid significant attention to the study of the moral and ethical state of the Orthodox population of Crimea having examined various aspects of the influence of faith on his life. According to S. L. Firsov, A. S. Puchenkov and V. V. Kalinovsky made a worthy contribution to the study of the issue of Russian confession and the martyrs of the faith, writing an honest and sincere book, useful for everyone interested in the history of the Russian Orthodox Church of the XX century and the history of the Russian Revolution.

The annotation examines the forms of agitation and propaganda work of the Social revolutionaries in the Kursk province in the late XIX–early XX century, from the point of view of their relevance to criminally punishable acts. The urgency of the problem is due to the need to study regional aspects for a comprehensive study of the topic. To do this, the article analyzes the criminal legislation in force during this period in order to detect articles aimed at combating political agitation and propaganda. The paper presents an analysis of the main criminal laws, examines the grounds for bringing to criminal responsibility for the compilation, storage, reproduction, distribution of politically dangerous literature, making public speeches questioning the course implemented by the state. The agitation and propaganda activities of the Kursk Social revolutionaries have been studied, the necessary conclusions have been drawn.

The urgency of the problem is due to the need to study regional aspects for a comprehensive study of the topic. To do this, the article analyzes the criminal legislation in force during this period in order to detect articles aimed at combating political agitation and propaganda. The paper presents an analysis of the main criminal laws, examines the grounds for bringing to criminal responsibility for the compilation, storage, reproduction, distribution of politically dangerous literature, making public speeches questioning the course implemented by the state.
