The algorithms for determining the direction of arrival (DOA) to jamming signals for a planar elliptical digital antenna array (DAA) are presented. MVDR and Root-MUSIC are the considered, which make it possible to determine the elevation angle and azimuth to the jammers for a planar DAA. The calculation of direction for three correlated interferers having different elevation angles and azimuth is performed. The coordinates of the jammers are chosen so that the interference come at the maximum of the side lobes of the radiation pattern of the elliptical DAA. Using the method of the compensating radiation pattern, nulling is performed in the found directions.

The directed use of modern calculation methods in engineering practice makes it possible to take a fresh look at gas flow processes in gas-cooled turbogenerators that are already into operation. This paper introduces the gas cooling system simulation of 300 MW turbogenerator with the gap-pickup rotor for obtaining the detailed gas flow in the ventilation system. Reynolds equations and finite volume method are used for simulation. Based on the numerical simulation results, the valuable distributions of velocity vector in stator and rotor ducts are presented. The explanation of temperature reducing effect of stator winding according to indications of Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) was suggested that locates in the zone of longitudinal gas separation barriers in air gap of generator.

The study of the physics of a nuclear chain reaction as a sequence of fission cycles has established a positive effect of asymptotic limiting of nuclear reactor power after the insertion of positive reactivity and raised the question whether a similar power asymptotic after the insertion of negative reactivity would occur, which could lead to the failure of the emergency protection function of the reactor to establish its subcritical state. The purpose of this paper is to study the power behavior of a point nuclear reactor during staged insertion of large negative reactivity and the performance of the emergency protection of the reactor's nuclear safety requirements for stopping the fission chain reaction. The study is conducted by solving the kinetics equation composed in the representation of the nuclear chain reaction as a sequence of fission cycles. It is established that activation of reactor emergency protection does not stop the chain reaction due to the formation of a secondary chain reaction on delayed decay neutrons of accumulated precursors. It is shown that the reactor can be brought to a subcritical state if a slow core insertion system, such as fuel burnup compensation, is started in parallel with the emergency protection system.

The increase of transmitting devices around leads to the fact that increasing the dynamic range in receivers is becoming more and more important part of the development and design of receiving devices. The aim of the research is to study the possible methods of increasing the dynamic range of receiving devices, to carry out experiments and to evaluate the applicability of these methods. Methods to reduce nonlinear distortions in the receiving path that caused by the operation of a low-noise amplifier (LNA) in a nonlinear mode were investigated. Moreover, the method of modeling nonlinear systems with Volterra series was studied, as well as the application of Volterra series to model nonlinear systems with a polynomial model with memory for low-level signals was considered. Simulations of the receiving channel behavior was described by Volterra series that has been obtained in this work. During experiments with real signals, it was found that the nonlinear equalization effectively suppresses the nonlinear distortions of the LNA.

Despite the wide variety of automated information educational resources, they all have one common problem – low didactic efficiency. The reason for this is the complexity of the mathematical description of the semi-structured parts of the educational process and the lack of a unified mathematical approach to the formalization of educational components. Another problem is a narrow technical approach to design, in which learning systems are seen only as technical devices. At the same time, complex problems associated with the design in the field of philosophy of education, pedagogy, psychology, control theory, and circuitry engineering lack due attention. The purpose of the research is to identify problematic features that reduce the efficiency of information educational systems design. The article presents the results of the analysis of the efficiency of training systems in various forms of testing and methodology for the use of information educational resources. The features of the formalization of synergetic ergatic models of the educational process components are reviewed, considering the psychodiagnostics of the personality traits of the educational process participants. The practical significance of the research is that it provides the information system creators with alternative psychological and pedagogical methods allowing to improve the efficiency of teaching system design.

In this paper, it was carried out the analysis of Russian and foreign studies on the introduction of "Well Being" system into the corporate system and describes potential effects (positive and negative) in terms of influencing the safety culture level and health of employees. The aim of research was determination the most significant and informative indicators (KPIs) for the implementation the corporate "Well Being" system in the context of the key areas of welfare with the principles of assessing employee engagement, tracking his psychophysiological state and/or professional growth was scientifically substantiated, methods of control over the labor process and the availability of digital solutions. It was carried out a comparative assessment of the indicators of programs to improve the level of occupational safety culture and reduce occupational risks. The main groups of mechanisms in the context of programs have been identified, and the division by the nature of indicators (technical, organizational, behavioral) has been achieved.

The study considered the degree of reduction in the efficiency parameters of a parabolic reflector caused by free vibrations. Estimates of the research results for various types of amplitude functions are given. It was discovered that the most negative reduction in efficiency is caused by low frequency oscillations. This leads to strong changes in the distribution of surface currents and the strength of the electromagnetic field at the focus of the reflector. It has also been found that the properties of an oscillating reflector change to a lesser extent if the amplitude function is characterized by a high density of nodes and antinodes.

Due to the processes of the immersion system and liquid respiration, there is an increase in human adaptation to external factors of space flight, which increases the efficiency of the crew. However, to analyze the cardiorespiratory system through the registration of the respiratory system is a time-consuming task. This article develops a technique for isolating respiratory waves from a cardiosignal. The processing method makes it possible to allocate human respiratory waves in various conditions of being space flight. At the end of the article, a set of output data of the method is presented. The data describe human respiratory waves.

The necessity of turbogenerators’ operation in the reactive power consumption mode is determined by the shortage of compensating devices in the network. Recently, accidents associated with generators’ long-term operation at low levels of excitation have become more frequent, which is a prerequisite for the consumption of reactive power by the generator. The purpose of this research is to assess the effect of the reactive power consumption mode on the technical condition of the T3FP-110-2MU3 turbogenerator. Data obtained from operating and repair documentation, electrical and thermal test protocols, technical reports containing the results of complex diagnostic examinations of the turbogenerator served as a source of information on the technical condition of the turbogenerator.

The paper presents the practical comparing of feature extraction methods in speech by the example of isolated words (commands) recognition and comparing the performance of a set of features using different classification algorithms. In this case, a consistently increasing set of keyword samples is used for the training set. Approaches based on cepstral coefficient extraction (including MFCC- and GFCC-based variations), linear prediction (LPCC), and wavelet transform (via Basilar-membrane Frequency-band) are considered. The obtained results indicate that in some cases (including recognition tasks) the use of features other than MFCC allows to increase the accuracy of recognition from 1 to 7 percent. At the same time, the statements of the authors of other approaches to the extraction of speech features about the significant superiority of their methods over MFCC are not confirmed.
