In this article we will analyse the use of intertextuality in Sara Uribe’s Antígona González. From a theoretical point of view, we will focus on the relationship between Antígona González and both Sophocles’ myth and other European and Latin-American reinterpretations of it, trying to set the structural function of myth as a textual device, which tries to undermine its permanent structure. This specific use of myth will be therefore connected with the thematic dimension of Antigone’s body, in order to investigate the meaning of its collective re-use in the Mexican recontextualisation proposed by Uribe, together with all the esthetical, ethical and political implications derived from that.

To confront two major writers and, indeed, thinkers of the Iberian Peninsula in the early 20th century is a challenge to be embraced, albeit with some circumspection. In the process, the tense relationship between the discourses of literary creation and philosophical musing will be broached. The evidence of any mutual awareness of their respective writings in the case of Miguel de Unamuno and Fernando Pessoa is scant. Whilst there is no recognition in the former of the latter, the Portuguese author certainly knew enough of the writings of the prolific Spaniard to have published several texts wherein he rejected the thinking of his near-contemporary. Close examination, however, reveals that the relationship between the writings of the two is complex enough to bear further scrutiny.

Descripción del virreinato del Perú, en particular de Lima was written in Spanish during the first half of the 17th century by an unknown author. The manuscript was found in Paris and presented by Riva Agüero in 1914. Underlying the 2009 and 2013 editions is the thesis that the anonymous author would have been a Portuguese New Christian who travelled through the Spanish empire during the period of union between the Iberian thrones in parallel with the established legal separation. Just as Pratt used the Andean manuscript of Guaman Poma de Ayala in applying the concepts of “contact zone”, this article utilises her theories to try to understand why this supposed Portuguese individual used the Spanish language in his description of the territory of ancient Peru.

El presente trabajo profundiza en la representación que Agustín Fernández Mallo (La Coruña, 1967) brinda del mundo globalizado en su novelaNocilla Dream(2006). De hecho, la conciencia de que nuestra realidad se construye a través de unas relaciones en red, le permite crear un espacio narrativo apto para acoger un acopio heteróclito de materiales, logrando trazar un mapa articulado de nuestra contemporaneidad global y digital. A partir de ahí se ha intentado definir tanto el plano trazado por al autor como su manera de proceder recurriendo al neologismo ‘heterotopografía’, surgido de la fusión del concepto foucaultiano de ‘heterotopía’ y del término ‘topografía’ en su doble acepción.
