A MOOC on the Science of Climate Change for primary and secondary teachers in Spanish 面向中小学教师的气候变化科学MOOC(西班牙语)

Climate Change is one of the most challenging problems that humanity faces today. To understand the magnitude and significance of the problem, society should use education as a way to create a fair, coherent and coordinated response. In this paper we describe the motivations, the design principles and the contents of a course that has been created to explain the science of Climate Change in simple but rigorous terms. We have created a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) about the Science of Climate Change for primary and secondary teachers. In this paper, we describe how this course can contribute in the preparation of young generations to mobilize the society in the face of this very important problem. We discuss the general guidelines that were used to design the course and how these principles perfectly match the characteristics of the MOOC platform.

3D Visualization Techniques in Health Science Learning: Application case of Thermographic Images to Blood Flow Monitoring 健康科学学习中的三维可视化技术:热成像图像在血流监测中的应用案例

The present work proposes a new learning methodology based on the combination of geotechnologies for the acquisition of competence in the studies of physiotherapy and nursery. The approach is based on three-dimensional visualization techniques over thermographic images to improve the comprehension and interpretation of blood flow. The proposal is aimed to be applied in practical sessions of subjects of the area of knowledge of the Physiology, to demonstrate through the geotechnologies, the effect of the application of the changes of the flow blood. The present approach is related to the virtual laboratories field, since the generated virtual material can be used for acquisition of practical skills and competences, as well as evaluation of competencies in e-learning courses. The learning material is structured to be easily deployed in a learning management system, allowing the students to work with the models by means of open-source solutions without an additional effort.

Study of the use of subtitling of media fictions in language learning related to character identification 媒介小说字幕在角色识别语言学习中的应用研究

This research project is related to the Spanish/Chinese subtitled media consumption and the Spanish/Chinese learning for Spanish/Chinese speaking students. It focuses particularly on analyzing the uses the subtitled audiovisual products. For this purpose, in the first study, a survey was developed with 207 university students from 42 Chinese and Spanish universities who voluntarily responded to a questionnaire. A pilot study was performed in order to test the correspondence validity between the Chinese and Spanish versions of the same questionnaire. The results show that watching subtitled Spanish films and series has been preferred by the respondents, and they do it frequently. In addition, they take it as an effective way to learn Spanish. Likewise, the results indicate that the respondents are not satisfied with the current situation of the film and television market with subtitling neither in China nor in Spain. Consequently, two more further experimental studies are being developed on course. They are designed with the purpose of testing the effects of exposure to audiovisual products with different subtitling characteristics and the identification with characters in the films and TV series on the learning of the above the mentioned languages.

Macro Analysis on how to Potentiate Experimental Competences Using VISIR 如何利用VISIR增强实验能力的宏观分析

Experimentation is crucial in science and engineering education, regardless the educational level. Nowadays experiments can be performed not only in traditional hands-on labs, but also using online resources, such as simulations and remote labs. This study was carried out, in several Higher Educational Institutions and at a minor extent some Secondary Schools, in Argentina and Brazil, in 25 different courses, where VISIR, a remote lab in the electric and electronics area, was introduced along with other resources. These 39 didactical implementations took place during 2016 and 2017 academic years, yielding 51 teachers and 1563 students. Teachers' perception about student performance in VISIR as well as VISIR usage in course, were cross-analyzed with courses' characteristics. Some important factors arouse teachers should pay extra care designing VISIR tasks accordingly to the learning outcomes/ competences they want their students to develop, taking into consideration if they represent group or individual activities. In fact, students tend to prefer group activities and there seems to be a strong association between this factor and teacher perception about students' satisfaction with the tool. Teacher introduction and support to VISIR along the semester is also an important factor.

The Track 15 Communication, Education and Social Media focuses on the uses of digital and social media in educational contexts, as well as experiences in which these media are seen as a tool to analyse and change society or, in the other direction, experiences in which the possibilities and risks of social media that shape the communication paradigm are analysed. The discussions are based on the idea that there is a scientific consensus that Internet, digital media and social media have changed completely the paradigm in Communication and Education research. But we know the revolution is far from completed. In fact, the scenario keeps changing day by day, what makes new challenges arose constantly. This comes with new risks that have to be, first understood and then faced accordingly, but at the same time it makes this field so rich and interesting. In this context, studies about the use of social media and its effects in education, communication and political or social events become relevant. This fact is evident in those projects trying to understand the way social networks and digital media work. The potential of these new phenomena is still unknown, but the need of education in order to comprehend it, use it properly and exploit all its possibilities is certain. The issues related with education and diffusion present some of the most challenging and urgent aspects in connection with communication and social media. Learning how to take advantage of these new forms of communication as a way to analyse societies or to educate its members (both children and adults) constitutes one of the possibilities with greatest potential in the new media scenario. Using new communication practices, technologies or narratives becomes a very useful tool in order to promote positive values or behaviours in societies.

Construction and validation of a questionnaire to assess student satisfaction with mathematics learning materials 学生数学学习资料满意度调查问卷之建构与验证

Mathematics is an essential branch for the scientific development and its study is mandatory in most university degrees. However, currently the level of academic performance and motivation of students to learn this science is not the desired one. The students can use different learning tools inside and outside the math classroom, enhancing the quality of the learning materials that are designed essentially to facilitate the learning of mathematics. The present research project aims to determine the validity and reliability of a measurement instrument that allows the assessment of the satisfaction of the students with the available learning materials. To fulfill the objectives of this research, the method of survey was used. A study with a quantitative approach was developed, which led to the design and validation of a questionnaire by a group of 7 experts. The validation closed after applying a pilot study with 728 students. It concluded positively, obtaining nine factors that coincide with the revision of the literature: technological quality, quality of content, visual quality, didactic significance, adequacy of content, relationship between theory and practice, involvement, contribution to learning, relevance and interaction between educational actors. The results of this questionnaire provide to the international scientific community with relevant information for the design, selection, and use of study materials in the classrooms, which will contribute to raising the levels of student engagement, and their academic performance in mathematics, secondarily.

Increase of confidence for the solution of problems in preuniversity students through Computational Thinking 通过计算思维提高大学预科学生解决问题的信心

The paper describes the initial research on the integration of Computational Thinking, through the dissemination of skills and practice of exercises in a context of Gamification, within the framework of a pilot program called Apadrinamiento, aimed to students of high school who visit the facilities of the Universidad Tecnológica de Puebla, and that are considering studying in the Division of Information and Communication Technologies. The main objective is to increase the confidence of students in the solution of problems through the skills that exercise Computational Thinking. This report details the planning of the activities, the indicators to be measured and the scenarios where the interventions will be carried out that allow, in a second stage, the creation of strategies to avoid desertion. The main conclusion of the paper is to have created an academic strategy to benefit the understanding of pre-university students in the current computer world through the exercise of Computational Thinking.

Needs detected by the agents involved in Dual Vocational Training: A single-case study 参与双重职业训练的代理人所发现的需要:一项个案研究

This paper includes a descriptive study that aims to know the training needs detected by the agents involved in the development of Dual Vocational Training (Dual VT) in the Principality of Asturias. For this, a needs assessment has been developed through a multiple case study, focused on a qualitative methodology based on interviews and discussion groups. The analysis of the extracted results, carried out through the MAXQDA program, has allowed to know how this training modality is being developed in the company under study and the needs that arise in its implementation, among which the lack of training of the tutors stands out and tutors, the need for coordination between companies and educational centers and the generality of the students' training plans.

Relationship between classroom environment and emotions in science students 理科生课堂环境与情绪的关系

The research has been carried out with 202 science students. Emotions about the teaching of science are related to variables associated with the classroom environment. Highlights the importance of negative predictors of negative emotions (boredom, hopelessness, anger and anxiety) both related to the work of teachers (teacher support and equity) and students (student cohesion and cooperation). In the relationship between the classroom environment and the emotions of science students, it is worth noting that the teacher's support and the students' cohesion are positive predictors of an important positive emotion such as enjoyment, and that the equity of the teacher and the cohesion of the students are negative predictors of another important negative emotion such as anxiety.

Flipping the classroom with multimedia resources to regulate learning pace: A case study 翻转教室与多媒体资源,以调节学习速度:个案研究

This paper addresses the usage of multimedia resources in flipped learning settings as a methodology to handle and regulate the learning pace of ICT synchronized project-based in-class tasks, with large groups of students. The methodology was applied as an attempt to optimize the teacher's ability to respond to the great amount of student queries and to ensure positive outcomes in terms of students' mid-term assessment. Results reveal that flipping learning per se did not produce a high impact on the achievement of the intended teaching goals nor students' grades. The set of conducted analyses demonstrate, however, relevant patterns on students' behavior, namely: which were the adopted learning strategies and how did they handle multimedia learning resources.
