Semiconductor industry has been one of the most promising industries and MOSFET is its main component. Extensive research is going on ever since it started to provide better performance and low-cost effective devices in the market. The study is done on a 3D density gradient nanowire MOSFET for showing the impact of using varied materials on the device performance. A comparison has been made between Silicon (Si) and Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) as semiconductor materials. DC and AC analysis have been done on both models and their results have been compared. The drain current in the Id-Vg and Id-Vd curve for GaAs used model is higher than the Si used model by about 10 times which is useful for analog applications. The threshold voltage for both models is 0.7V. Besides that, the electron concentration forming a potential well of the depth of about 104 for GaAs used material than the model made using Si as material. In the case of AC analysis, the transconductance range for the model using GaAs is almost double of the model designed using Si.

A significant number of wrongful death cases involve motor vehicle accidents. In most car accidents, the driver is somehow at fault. This can be due to a lack of visibility, slow decision-making, or bad weather, among other things. The proposed system aims to create a safe driving assist technology consisting of thermal camera-based object detection and intelligent vehicle anti-theft measures to assist in safe driving and provide vehicle security on top of the existing system. This proposed system not only can easily detect objects in low visibility under unsuitable weather conditions, with an average accuracy of 97% but also provides vehicle safety by using facial-biometrics-based vehicle authentication where the accuracy is 95%. This also has a 36 facial data saving capacity in the database at a time. The authorized user doesn't always require internet support to access the vehicle, whereas the unregistered user needs app-based permission from the user to access the car.

Electrical impedance measurement techniques have the potential in physiological studies and to detect and diagnose diseases. For this, conventionally Tetra-Polar Impedance Measurement (TPIM) method is used having rather diffused sensitivity, and not being able to localize a particular zone of interest. In this study, 6-electrode and 4-electrode techniques are implemented to achieve higher sensitivity at deeper regions of a volume conductor by placing electrodes at the front and back of the volume conductor. Spherical objects of different conductivity and sizes are mounted on the center of the rectangular volume conductor and measured the transfer impedance and percentage change using COMSOL Multiphysics. This technique can identify any the alteration in transfer impedance of an object inserted deep inside the volume conductor with a stable background. Based on the present work, further research can be carried out for real life implementation of the methods, contributing greatly to the improvement of lung health, particularly among the common people of the low resource countries.

Machine learning in agriculture has added a new dimension to research field through providing actionable insights for better crop yield. In our work, we have explored various types of mushrooms and utilized efficient feature selection techniques coupled with effective machine learning based classification methods to classify the edibility of mushrooms automatically. Through experimentation with nine distinct machine learning methods and twenty selected features, the result shows that our best model (k-NN) performed significantly better with an accuracy of 99% and F-1 score of 99% in comparison to other machine learning methods. Our research work provided us with valuable actionable insights to devise further scopes in research in the field of mushroom edibility predicting through machine learning.

To enhance living conditions and alleviate poverty, emerging nations require energy services that are dependable, accessible, safe, and efficient. This research study proposes an IoT-based smart microgrid system for rural areas with an enhanced control system for an efficient microgrid operation which may, in turn, solves multiple issues in the rural area. The proposed system is a combination of solar and wind power generators, diesel power stations, and backup storage, having the functionality of detecting the instantaneous fault of a branch with the help of the Bewlice lattice diagram and support vector machine algorithm and could be controlled remotely at any moment over the internet. Likewise, a power monitoring system would provide the authorities with technical attributes related to energy that would be utilized to give power to the rural area in an emergency through the Android Application, which can be retrieved and displayed using a cloud platform named ThingSpeak.

The use of fossil fuels to generate the ever-increasing demand for energy is proving to be a very strong reason behind the global warming issue. The hybrid power system is a combination of different technologies to produce Electricity. In Bangladesh, farmers experience several irrigation-related problems due to a shortage of energy. This paper deals with an economical hybrid power system that uses the grid, solar, and biogas generator that offers a fresh approach to solve this problem. Since it is impossible to always have sunlight, a biogas generator would be used to generate electricity and charge a battery to satisfy the requirements and a grid connection will be a backup for both biogas and sunlight absence. Based on the priority, the user will be able to switch among the three sources for efficient use of power. This hybrid system will contribute to our country's increasing demand for power management by serving the less resourceful farmers from rural areas. In this research, hardware and simulation findings have been examined from Bangladesh's perspective. Since it is based on renewable energy sources, this initiative presents a novel solution to Bangladesh's emerging power crisis issue.

The demand for electricity is burgeoning rapidly along with the aging infrastructure persuading the utilities to transform the traditional grid into smart grid. Demand side management is one of the major aspects of smart grid which helps to optimize the usage load pattern maintaining a balance between the generation and the demand and thus to reduce the peak to average ratio which can result in energy and economic efficiency. Hybrid building concepts are having attention in recent years in many developing countries. A proper management of the residential and commercial loads are thus required to maintain power system sustainability and reliability. DSM can be applied in hybrid buildings to utilize the energy in a prudent way. In this paper, a methodology for implementing DSM in hybrid buildings is proposed. The efficacy of the proposed algorithm to reduce the peak to average PAR has been demonstrated.

This paper discusses an IoT -based smart wheelchair through which the elderly and those who are physically challenged i.e., those who cannot do the basic movement without the help of others, will be able to do their basic movement. This wheelchair will also allow COVID-19 patients to move from one place to another in a relatively contactless condition at the hospital or airport. This wheelchair comes with a smart band through which the basic physical condition of the body, such as body temperature, pulse rate, blood oxygen, etc. parameters can be known. If the level of any of these parameters is abnormal, the system will immediately send a notification to the user's family member or access person. Additionally, the system has location tracking through which family members can track the user's location whenever they want. NodeMCU, temperature sensors, pulse sensors, etc., have been used as hardware to build the system and a mobile application designed for remote monitoring.

Various living organisms and objects around us often blend themselves with their environment and is thus invisible to the naked eye. Whether it is an organism like a pygmy seahorse, a warfare tank or a soldier, the Camouflage Object Detection Using Deep Learning overcomes these issues of objects hiding within the environment. In addition to object detection, we detect camouflage objects within an image using deep learning techniques. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that is essentially a three-layer neural network. Over 6500 images that possess camouflage properties are gathered from various internet sources and divided into four categories to compare the result. Those images are labeled and then trained and tested using VGG16 architecture. The architecture is further customized using transfer learning. The purpose of this transfer of learning methodologies is to aid in the evolution of machine learning to the point where it is as efficient as human learning.
