A globalized food trade, extensive production and complex supply chains are contributing toward an increased number of non-Halal substance in food cases. Halal laboratory testing or Halal testing is an approach to identify contaminants and ensure the integrity of raw materials and food products. The adoption of an integrative approach of Halal management system and Halal testing was investigated to identify and discuss several related economic issues in this field. From an extensive analysis of academic literatures using ‘Halal Food Fraud’, ‘Halal Food Testing’ and ‘Halal Food’ specifically at food manufacturer, the issues involving economic impact of Halal testing was highlighted. Several Halal Testing Points were proposed for the evaluation of Halal ingredients and products, followed by a conceptual framework on the potential economic impact of Halal food testing. The high demand for transparency in the food industry among consumers has therefore may need food manufacturers to consider Halal food testing as part of their production process.

Engineering Maintenance System (EMESYS) is the online Management Information System (MIS) on equipment maintenance performed by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) Corps including maintenance on vehicle, weapon, electronic and miscellaneous equipment. This study attempts to identify the determinants of user satisfaction in adopting the EMESYS based on an information system success model by De Lone and Mc Lean (2003). This study is important as it is the first empirical study focusing on the user satisfaction of EMESYS in the context of the Malaysian Army. The data were collected using online surveys from 309 EMESYS users. Standard multiple regressions was used to analyse the data gathered. The results of this study indicate that three of the hypothesis are supported and users’ satisfaction of EMESYS is influenced by the three dimensions, namely, system quality, information quality and IT infrastructure. EMESYS has been proven successful in transforming the tedious procedures involving multiple parties and documents to the process of a simple data entry to EMESYS.

Psoriasis poses a significant economic burden. A systematic review of psoriasis treatments cost and effectiveness has been performed extensively in the United States (US) and Europe, but such review is limited in Asia. This review aims to analyze all previous literature on the cost and effectiveness of systemic and biological treatment for moderate to severe psoriasis. Cost of illness and cost-effectiveness studies that examined the economic burden, cost, and effectiveness of psoriasis treatments (systemic and biological) in Asian region from 2010 to 2020 were published in English language. All costs were converted into 2020 US Dollar. All COIs included found that direct medical costs were greater than indirect costs. Adalimumab, ustekinumab, risankizumab, secukinumab 150 mg were cost-effective treatments and of the lowest cost per PASI-75/PASI1 and/or QALY. When comparing the different treatments, topical and systemic psoriasis treatments were observed to be the most cost-effective compared with other modalities. Given the tremendous economic effects of psoriasis on patients and hospitals, economic analysis, clinicians, and policymakers should consider cost and effectiveness evidence, as this systematic literature review was conducted to analyze previous documentation regarding the cost and effectiveness of systemics and biologics in Asian countries.

This research is focusing on the influence of greenwash on Malaysian consumers' trust towards organic food products. Malaysian consumers are becoming more aware and understand the importance of organic food products. Although Malaysia's organic market is still niche, many organic food products and organic retail/shops are available to purchase it. However, Malaysian consumers are concerned with the validity and credibility of organic food products, as many organic food products are from the local and importing country. Organic food products can relate to the greenwash that will impact consumers' trust towards organic food products. Therefore, the conceptual framework is developed by proposing four constructs - organic greenwashing, organic perceived risk, organic confusion and organic trust. The research will also focus on Malaysian consumers who have organic purchasing experience or intend to purchase organic food products. This conceptual paper will give insightful ideas for future research and give benefits to organic food retailing.

This study aims to examine factors that influence Murabahah margin income. Spefically it investigates the effect of the Central Bank of Indonesia Rate (BI Rate), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (OEOI), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and wadiah savings on Murabahah margin income at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The method used in this study is quantitative by using the multiple linear regression analysis to test the variables. 12 Islamic Commercial Banks were selected as the sample using a purposive sampling method. With 60 data observations for 5 years, the findings indicate that all the independent variables simultaneously affect the dependent variable. Partially, BI Rate does not affect Murabahah margin income, while in contrast, Operating Expenses to Operating Income (OEOI), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and wadiah savings affect the Murabahah margin income.
