espanolLa transformacion de los apoyos que reciben las personas con discapacidad intelectual hacia opciones personalizadas en que la persona recibe apoyo en su propio hogar hace que la evaluacion de estos apoyos sea imprescindible para mejorarlos. El articulo presenta la guia GAS-VI, un instrumento para la evaluacion de los apoyos personalizados en el ambito de la vida independiente que se ofrecen a personas con discapacidad intelectual. Se organiza en torno a cuatro dimensiones: individual, interpersonal, organizativa y comunitaria, y recoge las valoraciones de los profesionales de apoyo y de las personas que lo reciben. El articulo presenta la fundamentacion teorica de la guia GAS-VI, el proceso de diseno y validacion, y una descripcion del contenido y material. La guia es un instrumento para ayudar a los profesionales a plantear mejoras de los apoyos orientadas al cumplimiento de los derechos de las personas con discapacidad intelectual. In this paper we address the issue of universal accessibility from a theoretical perspective of linking human rights and the professional ethics of social work. Although it is a human right of people with functional diversity recognized in the 2006 UN Convention, fundamental for the empowerment of their autonomy and for full social participation, its implementation is far from adequate in our society. From an ethical point of view, we justify that it constitutes a commitment to justice which, given the relevance pointed out, requires more attention in training and in a professional practice of social services focused on people with functional diversity. We end the text by pointing out some implications derived from this human right in an ethical approach to social work.

espanolEste texto se propone mostrar la relacion entre las vivencias de reconocimiento de personas con discapacidad y su logro en la confguracion de estilos de vida independiente. Se acude al metodo hermeneutico y al analisis bajo los postulados de la teoria fundamentada y el analisis de contenido. Se halla que el desarrollo de autoconfanza, autorrespeto y autoestima, considerados fnes practicos del reconocimiento, favorecen estilos de vida independiente en personas con discapacidad. Igualmente se encuentra que estas personas tienen experiencias denominadas enemigas del reconocimiento, que las ubica en desventaja para el logro de la autonomia y la independencia. Es importante reflexionar sobre las concepciones de discapacidad para trascender la mirada de benefcencia y facilitar la vida independiente. EnglishThis text aims to show the relationship between the experiences of recognition of people with disabilities and their achievement in the confguration of independent lifestyles. We turn to the hermeneutic method and to the analysis under the postulates of grounded theory and content analysis. The development of self confdence, self-respect and self-esteem as practical purposes of recognition are found to promote independent lifestyles in people with disabilities. It is also found that these people have experiences called enemies of recognition, which places them at a disadvantage in achieving autonomy and independence. It is important to reflect on the concepts of disability in order to transcend the view of charity and facilitate independent living.

espanolEn este estudio se explora la posible asociacion entre diferentes perfles de empoderamiento y la satisfaccion laboral de una muestra de trabajadores con movilidad reducida. La Escala de Satisfaccion Laboral General (1979) y la Escala de Empoderamiento (1997), fueron administradas a 67 trabajadores con movilidad reducida, con edades comprendidas entre 26 y 52 anos (M=31,22, D.T.= 1,35). Los resultados indicaron que los participantes presentaron niveles moderados de satisfaccion laboral, observandose que los trabajadores con mayor nivel de empoderamiento indicaron mayor satisfaccion laboral. Asimismo, el indice de correlacion mostro una alta asociacion entre satisfaccion laboral y empoderamiento. Esto sugiere que el contexto laboral es uno de los ambitos prioritarios para fomentar el empoderamiento de los trabajadores con movilidad reducida y con ello mejorar su bienestar laboral. Results showed moderated levels of job satisfaction among participants, and that such satisfaction was even higher in workers with a high level of empowerment. Likewise, the correlation index showed a high association between job satisfaction and empowerment. This suggests that the labour context is one of the priority areas to promote the empowerment of workers with reduced mobility, and therefore, to improve their work well-being.

La distrofa muscular de Duchenne (DMD) es una enfermedad neuromuscular hereditaria y degenerativa que afecta a uno por cada 3500 a 6000 varones recien nacidos. Se ha estudiado principalmente desde una perspectiva medica. Se realizo una revision narrativa con el objetivo de analizar algunos estudios que abordan la DMD desde una perspectiva psicosocial, incluidos los temas de interes, donde, quien y como se ha estudiado, ademas de que modelos de la discapacidad subyacen a los estudios. El desgaste de los cuidadores y la afectacion en la calidad de vida de personas con DMD son los temas mas estudiados, el uso de metodologias cuantitativas las mas comunes, y el modelo biopsicosocial el mas presente. La mayoria de los estudios se realizaron en paises del primer mundo. Aun es limitada la literatura que alude a un modelo social, pero logra vislumbrarse ya la necesidad de ampliar el abordaje de la DMD.

espanolEl articulo expone una investigacion cualitativa de interes interpretativo; se busco conocer la percepcion sobre la labor de cuidado y sindrome de carga en cuidado-res informales de personas mayores de 18 anos con enfermedad mental atendidas en un centro de atencion en Bogota mediante un grupo focal y aplicacion de en-trevistas individuales no estructuradas. Para la interpretacion de la informacion se abordan las categorias de carga estructural y carga individual. El cuidador informal es delegado con frecuencia por decision familiar, ninguno cuenta con remuneracion economica y su labor conlleva a que sus espacios sociales y laborales se reduzcan o anulen. Se presentan casos de cuidadores con enfermedades fisicas las cua-les deben sobrellevar simultaneamente con su labor produciendo tensiones a nivel emocional. Los resultados reflejan la pertinencia y necesidad de desarrollar accio-nes para el reconocimiento social y legal del cuidador junto espacios preventivos a enfermedades desencadenadas por su labor. The informal caregiver is often delegated by family decision, no one has economic remuneration and their work leads to their social and labor spaces are reduced or canceled. There are cases of caregivers with physical diseases which must cope with their work simultaneously producing tensions on an emotional level. The results reflect the relevance and need to develop actions for the social and legal recognition of the caregiver together with preventive spaces for illnesses unleashed by their work.

espanolObjetivo y metodo: se analiza si un grupo de maestros que tienen en el aula alumnos diagnosticados de trastornos del espectro del autismo (TEA) presentan un nivel mas elevado de estres que los que no los tienen. Los participantes (N=16) proceden de un centro publico de la Comunidad Valenciana. El instrumento utilizado es la Esca-la ED-6. Resultados: el estudio revela que los maestros que ensenan a ninos con TEA tienen un nivel de estres mayor que los maestros que trabajan con ninos sin necesidades especificas de apoyo educativo. Tambien se observan diferencias im-portantes en las variables de ansiedad, creencias y presiones. Conclusiones: tener discentes con TEA puede implicar tener probabilidades de sufrir ansiedad, sentir presiones a lo largo del dia escolar, y tener unas creencias que pueden evolucionar negativamente facilitando la aparicion de estres. EnglishAim and methodology: our aim is to analyse if a group of teachers who have students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the classroom have a high level of stress and if, on the other hand, teachers who do not have this type of students do not present stress. Both groups of subjects (N = 16) come from a public centre of the Valencian Community. For this purpose, the ED-6 Scale is used. Results: the study reveals that teachers who teach children with ASD have a higher level of stress than teachers who work with children without special education needs. There are also important differences in the variables of anxiety, beliefs and pressures. Conclusions: having students with ASD may imply a chance of anxiety, feeling pressures throug-hout the school day, and having beliefs that must be controlled due to the possibility of evolving negatively facilitating the emergence of stress.
