The aim of the present study was to examine changes in blood pressure among an adult woman with age. Hypertension is a major contributor to morbidity and mortality worldwide and is widespread in older women. Hypertension is one of the major risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease and is also a component of the metabolic syndrome. A total of 2,000 women classified in four age groups were examined: 20-30, 31-40, 41-50 and 51-60 years. Blood pressure was measured with a sphygmomanometer and a stethoscope (either electronically or directly into the arteries). In this study, we found that hypertension is a more common problem in women with increasing age. It affects all age groups, but the most vulnerable group was between 51 and 60 years old.

Thenanocrystalline Sb & Se co-doped PbTe thin films were prepared by using an integrated physical-chemical approach by evaporating chemically synthesized Sb& Se co-doped PbTenanopowders on glass substrates. The prepared films were analysed by XRD, SEM, EDAX and their results were discussed in detail. The DC electrical conduction mechanism in Al/SbPbTeSe/Al thin film sandwich system at different temperatures (298–423 K) was studied and was found to be Poole-Frenkel type.

Quantum information processing is the essential requirement of quantum technology. The foundation of information processing is the quantum entanglement. We propose a new entanglement measure to quantify entanglement and it is based on matrix realignment technique. A comparative study of proposed measure with concurrence for different types of entangled states is also discussed.

Now a day’s home security is a critical issue in society. An android controlled locomotive robot platform, developed in order to enhance home security. The drive mechanism consists of 3 differential locomotive modes, with 2 steerable and 4 derivable wheels. MECABOT is controlled by 2.4 GHz short range radio frequency band. The data is transmitted using a frequency hopping spread spectrum of Bluetooth technology. Motor driver with PWM (Pulse Width Modulator) is used to control motor power and direction. The data transmitted to control robot is send by an android app inbuild facility of Bluetooth. In this system the mobile robot platform was developed using Android and Arduino environment.

Routing plays a crucial role in provisioning Quality of Service (QoS) over WiFi-based Long Distance (WiLD) mesh networks. Traditional routing protocols normally maintain a single optimal path between each pair of source and destination nodes. In gateway-based mesh networks, the optimal paths between gateway and other nodes often overlap and hence degrades the overall network performance significantly. Multipath routing protocols are widely used in Wireless Mess Networks (WMN) for providing QoS to various network applications. Smooth routing of real time traffic with varying QoS requirements is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a QoS-aware hybrid multipath routing protocol which can discover multiple maximally disjoint paths between a gateway and any other node. The gateway node selects n-best paths for the source node. Before starting a given real time flow, a path selection scheme chooses the appropriate path or set of paths amongst the available discovered paths. To evenly distribute the traffic among the paths chosen, an admission control mechanism has been proposed. In case of significant change in the quality of any discovered paths, a path maintenance process induces the source node to trigger a route update process. The proposed protocol enhances the performance of real time traffic significantly. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol achieves significant improvement in different QoS parameters. With the increase in number of disjoint paths from source to destination, a substantial improvement in throughput and delay is observed.

In casting industry the selection of mold material and molding method is challenging task. There are several types of molding methods, but over 70% of all metal castings are generally developed by means of sand molding (sand casting). Sand casting has two processes such as, green sand casting and chemically bonded sand casting process. This paper focuses on chemically bonded sand casting i.e. no-bake sand system (self-hardening system), among from all types of no-bake sand system, alkaline phenolic ester cured (ALPHASET) and furan acid cured no-bake system are preferably discussed. Curing mechanism of all type of no-bake systems are shown along with detailing about ALPHASET and furan no-bake sand system.

Today, one of the promises of the growing critical mass of clinical data collection in electronic health record (EHR) systems is secondary use (or re-use) of the data for other purposes, such as quality enhancement and clinical research. The growth of such data is increasing dramatically in recent years. The analysis of the above data is usually called analytics (or data analytics).

First-principles calculations have been carried out on two Carbon Nanotubes having 54 and 72 carbon atoms. The Electronic density of state reveals that the materials show metallic nature. Dielectric constant has been computed in case of Carbon Nanotubes C54 and C72. The value of dielectric constant in Carbon Nanotube C54 comes out to be 7.06, 6.28 and 14.53 along X, Y and Z axes respectively and its average value comes out to be 9.29. Value of dielectric constant in Carbon Nanotube C72 comes out to be 167, 168 and 737 along X, Y and Z axes respectively and its average value comes out to be 357. Polarizability of Carbon Nanotube C54 has been estimated and it comes out to be 116(Å)3, 111(Å)3 and 142(Å)3 along X, Y and Z axis respectively. Polarizability in case of Carbon Nanotube C72 comes out to be 171(Å)3, 171(Å)3 and 173(Å)3 along X, Y and Z axes respectively.

Glaciers plays a major role in the generation of stream flows in Himalayan region. The Historical studies say that many glaciers in the Himalayan region are retreating due to climate change and global warming. It is important to study of glacier as they are the main source of fresh water. Due to change of climate over different time periods there is a continuous decrease of glacier areas. So it is now a days become very big issue for our future as well as present generation for fluctuation of fresh drinking water storage. The present study focuses to examine the changes in snow-covered area and glacier mass balance of the Bara Shigri glacier of Himalayan region using Remote Sensing and GIS technology. Remote sensing technique can be used without any restrictions of manual approach. The study aim is to show the changes of snow cover area and mass balance of glacier during last 27 years from 1989 to 2016. Snow cover area has been monitored using imageries of Landsat-2 and Landsat-5 multispectral band (1989, 2002, 2008, and 2016) TM and ETM data using NDSI (Normalized Difference Snow Index), NDSI-2(Normalized Difference Snow Index-2), NDGI (Normalized Difference Glacier Index), and Band ratio techniques. WGMS (World Glacier Monitoring Services) data are used for accuracy assessment for the Mass balance, front variation and annual thickness in the glacier for analyzing the surface – atmosphere interaction which contributes to melting of the glacier.
