The aim of this study is to determine the opinions and satisfaction of the nursing students who suddenly switched from face-to-face education to the online education system, in the early period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was carried out with a nursing student (n=475) studying at two state and one private universities in Konya between June-August 2020. "Introductory Information Form", "Satisfaction Scale Regarding the e-Learning Process" and "Opinions Regarding Distance Education Scale" were used to collect the research data. Ethical principles were adhered. It was determined that the satisfaction levels of the students with e-Learning Process (81.17±26.08) and Scores of the Opinion Scale towards Distance Education (55.32±10.53) were close to the middle level. It was determined that the mean score of both scales was affected by the class of education, the type of university and the possibility of following the distance education system (p<0.05). The first three problems of the students about the online education system; "Experiencing technical problems during lessons" (74.5%), "understanding the lessons adequately due to lack of clinical practice" (71.2%) and "difficulty concentrating" (68.6%). It is recommended that the study be repeated with nursing students who continue online education in the later stages of the pandemic.

Fatigue is a symptom that prevents the individual from using his functions and normal capacity, affects the whole body, impairs the quality of life, and is an important complaint especially in individuals with chronic diseases. Nursing interventions in fatigue management are based on increasing activity tolerance and endurance, and conserving energy. Progressive relaxation exercises are among the complementary therapies that can be helpful in reducing fatigue. In this systematic review, articles investigating the effects of progressive relaxation exercises on patients' fatigue levels were evaluated. Articles were accessed from COCHRANE, EBSCO Host, MEDLINE, PUBMED, SCIENCE DIRECT, WEB OF SCIENCE, ULAKBİM databases and GOOGLE ACADEMIC. Twenty-four research articles with experimental/semi-experimental, randomized/non-randomized control groups, published in Turkish and English between January 2000 and December 2021, were included in the evaluation. In the articles evaluated, it was determined that the study groups mostly consisted of individuals with chronic diseases such as cancer, hemodialysis, heart, multiple sclerosis, type II diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In all articles included in the study, it was found that progressive relaxation exercises reduce fatigue. This systematic review supports the integration of progressive relaxation exercises into routine nursing care and nursing education.

The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of women and men towards violence against women. This cross-sectional study was carried out on May-September 2021 with the participation of 454 people aged between 19-60 who could read and write, use a smart phone, had no visual impairment and agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected using the Descriptive Characteristics Information Form prepared by the researchers and the Attitude Scale towards Violence Against Women prepared by Gömbül (1998). The data obtained in the research were analyzed in the SPSS 25.0 statistical package program. It was determined that 37.4% of the participants were between the ages of 18-25, 78% were women, 51.8% were undergraduates, 53.1% were single, and 58.6% were working. In the study, the total score average of the scale was found to be significantly higher for those who consider arranged marriage more appropriate, those who think that one can commit violence unintentionally out of anger, and those who see violence as partly a means of discipline and acceptance (p<0.05). The participants' attitudes towards violence against women were below the average. However, it is observed that there is a traditionalist point of view in the results of the study.

The aim of this study was to examine the exercise behavior of the students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (PT) Department studying at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. 77 1st grade PT students (56 females, 21 males) were included in this study. Students' sports habits and demographic information were questioned by a questionnaire. Exercise Stages Change Scale-Short Form (ESCS-SF), Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale (ESES) and Exercise Decision-Making Balance Scale (EDMBS) for exercise behavior and International Physical Activity Assessment Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF) for physical activity were used. The mean age of the students was 19,70±2,4 years. 9.1% of students reported that they do exercises regularly. Distribution of students according to 5-behavioral stages of ESCS-SF: 2.6%“continuation”, 15.6%“movement“, 42.9% “preparation”, 33.8%“thinking” and 5.2%“not thinking”. The mean scores of ESES and EDMBS were 10.01± 88 and 4.16±2.32. 97,4% of them reported a positive perception of exercise. 14.3% of them were low, 72.7% were moderate, and 13% were high level of physical activity. A significant positive correlation was found between IPAQ-SF total score and EDMBS -General and ESES Scores (p<0.05). Although the majority of the PT students had a positive perception of exercise, it was observed that they participated in exercise at a low level, according to the results of the study. Exercise self-efficacy was low and exercise self-efficacy was related to physical activity. We think that it is an important step to define students’ exercise behavior and to gain a lifelong exercise habit.

Hopelessness and fatigue are common symptoms experienced by breast cancer patients in the post-operative period. Supportive interventions, such as art making or art therapy, are reported to have a positive effect on the symptoms experienced by cancer patients. This semi experimental study aims to evaluate the effect of painting on post-operative hopelessness and fatigue in breast cancer patients. The population of the study consisted of all adult patients who had surgery for breast cancer in a university hospital in Turkey and lived in the city center. The sample of the study consisted of 110 patients, 55 in the experimental group and 55 in the control group. The sample included patients who were selected through the improbable random sampling method. The research was completed between April 2016 and January 2018. Patient Information Form, Piper Fatigue Scale and Beck Hopelessness Scale were used to obtain data. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square, independent group’s t test, paired t test and correlation were used in the analysis of the data. It was observed that the hopelessness and fatigue scores of the patients in the experimental group decreased statistically significantly after the painting study (p=0.001). No statistically significant change was observed in the hopelessness and fatigue scores of the patients in the control group. In this context, it is thought that nurses should know the effect of painting on hopelessness and fatigue and include it in their practices. It may be recommended to conduct new studies in order to evaluate the effects of painting on different patient groups.

The purpose of this study was to determine and investigate the collaboration levels of nurses from different generations in the same work environment based on current data and reveal differences. The sample of this descriptive study between March-June 2021 included 69 nurses working at a hospital. The data were collected using a Personal Information Form developed by the researchers and the Nurse-Nurse Collaboration Scale. The SPSS 22 statistical package was used to analyze the data, and the analysis included descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test. It was determined that 64% of the nurses who participated in this study were from Generation Y, 26% were from Generation Z, and 10% were from Generation X. The median age of respectively the X, Y, Z generation is 46.32 and 22 years old. While most of the participants from Generations X and Y were married (85.7% and 72.7%, respectively), most of the participants from Generation Z were single (61.1%). All (100%) nurses from Generation X, 75.0% of those from Generation Y and 83.7% of those from Generation Z assessed their collaboration levels as adequate. The total Nurse-Nurse Collaboration Scale and subscale median scores of all nurses from Generations X, Y and Z were found to be higher than 2.5 (p>0.05). It was determined that the collaboration levels of the nurses from Generations X, Y and Z were moderate. The collaboration levels of the nurses from Generations Y and Z were close to each other, while these levels were different from those of the nurses from Generation X. The collaboration levels of the female nurses from Generation Z were found to be higher than those of the male nurses.

This study was carried out to evaluate health professionals' perceptions of COVID-19 and their compliance with isolation precautions within the scope of the Health Belief Model. The population of this cross-sectional study consisted of 1500 health professionals comprising physicians and nurses who work in a university hospital in Turkey between 10 May and 30 May 2020, while its sample consisted of 309 health professionals accepting to participate in the study. In the data collection, descriptive characteristics form which was prepared by the researchers, the COVID-19 Perception Questionnaire prepared within the scope of the Health Belief Model, and the Isolation Precautions Compliance Scale were used. The mean scores of perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived health-motivation, perceived self-efficacy, cues to action, and the total mean score of the COVID-19 Perception Questionnaire were found to be above the average. Whereas, the perceived barriers mean score was found to be below the average. Perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, and cues to action mean scores of the nurses were significantly higher than those of the physicians. The compliance of health professionals with isolation was also above the average, and nurses' mean score of compliance with the isolation precautions is significantly higher than those of physicians. The increased perception of the COVID-19 epidemic based on the Health Belief Model positively affects the compliance of health professionals to isolation. The development of certain strategies be recommended that increase health professionals’ perception of the COVID-19 outbreak and their compliance with the isolation precautions.

Although it is known that physical activity has many effects on health, various factors are effective in providing and maintaining activity. The aim of this study was to determine the exercise beliefs of young adults and to investigate the relationship between exercise beliefs, physical activity levels and motivation to participate in physical activity. A total of 551 volunteer participants between the ages of 18-25 were included in the study. The Exercise Beliefs Questionnaire (EBQ) was used to determine the participants' beliefs about exercise, the Physical Activity Index (PAI) to determine their physical activity levels, and the Motivation to Participate in Physical Activity Scale (MPPAS) to determine exercise motivation. The mean age of the participants was 21.13±1.87 years. It was determined that 220 (39.9%) of the participants had exercise habits and 331 (60.1%) did not have exercise habits. It was observed that those who exercised were more positive about the benefits of exercise, while those who did not exercise had more negative attitudes (p= 0.001). PA levels (p=0.001) and motivation levels (p=0.001) were found to be significantly higher in those who had exercise habits. A positive, moderately strong, statistically significant relationship was found between exercise beliefs-benefits subscale and exercise motivation (r=0.513; p<0.01). In order to increase the motivation to participate in regular physical activity in young people, they should be informed about the benefits of exercise and the disadvantages should be eliminated.
