Limitations of the existing methods and models for uneven energy consumption forecast are defined. The energy consumption planning method based on informational technologies, the probability theory, the game theory, hour energy prices and volumes relations is offered. All possible variants of prices and volumes relations are identified. Two utility functions for positive and negative correction of the preliminary calculated planned hour energy volume are derived. The positive tests of the method are presented. The role of the offered method for solving the main problem of uneven energy consumption planning is shown. Environmental, scientific and economical aspects of the method are disclosed.

The paper aims at improving high-frequency drying chambers by increasing uniformity of the drying process. In this paper we demonstrate the research results of influence of the sizes of spaces and air gaps located between the vertical electrodes and a timber pile on the uniformity and the magnitude of an electric field strength in wood. It is shown that the elecrtomagnetic process in the cross sections of the timber pile may be described as a quasy-stationary. The corresponding mathematical apparatus describing the distribution of the field in a HF chamber is presented in the paper. Computational experiments were conducted with a help of the program complex “ELCUT”. The results of the experiments were processed by the methods of the experiment planning theory and statistical data analysis. The dependencies of the heterogeneity coefficient and the medium strength of the electric field in wood on the stated (given) geometrical parameters of the timber pile were defined. We came to particular conclusions about the degree of their impact on the electromagnetic field parameters.

This article reviews the process analysis made in the electric drive with a field regulated reluctance machine. The calculation of the critical torque to the frequency of the reference signal for the assessment of adjustment possibilities at high speeds is performed. The urgency of the task of the mathematical models synthesis for the electrotechnical system on the basis of the AC electric drive with the field regulated reluctance machine is identified. The results reviews that the field regulated reluctance machine have a high overload capability and this fact shows that this electric drive can be used in the processing facilities with heavy duty operation. South Ural State University is grateful for financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (grant No 13.9662.2017 /BP).

Ice melting by heating overhead wires with electric current is mainly used for prevention of ice and wind accidents. Current increase is accompanied by reduced ice melting time under all possible weather conditions determined by wind speed, air temperature, and ice wall thickness. The authors investigate ways to improve discrete control of the rectifier unit that ensure the greatest possible current values at overhead line phases. They provide recommendations concerning simplification of a control unit of the discretely controlled rectifier and of the thyristor converter design without current decrease during ice melting.

The relevance of the problem discussed in the paper is stipulated by the risk of electric shock for people and animals near 6-35 kV overhead lines. It is necessary to find the short circuit location in distribution networks in the shortest possible time. Inspection of extensive, branched and hard-to-reach overhead sections takes a lot of time, so it is easier and quicker to use special portable devices for search of ground fault location. As operating experience shows, search devices produced in Russia fail to determine location of “non-metallic” single-phase damage. The aim of this study is to identify the causes for failures of existing portable devices and to develop new ways of searching short circuit location. For this purpose, operation of 6-35 kV distribution network at different single-phase faults is analyzed. An equivalent circuit of the studied distribution network has been developed during the analysis. The authors have also completed a series of calculations of tension and currents of different harmonic components in network branches at different types of single-phase damages. They have studied the influence of resistance change in the place of short circuit on harmonic tension and current components and estimated emission of electromagnetic field under real overhead wires of the studied network at artificial single-phase damages. Cumulative amplitude-phase analysis of the highest harmonic current and tension components enables development of a new way of searching for ground fault location in the extensive 6-35 kV overhead distribution network. The main reason of failure of portable searching devices appears to be a level in-time variation of the highest harmonic current components.

Studies aimed at the determination of timepoints that are favorable for the implementation of control actions are presented in the article. The formation of control actions with angle of transmission δ in the area of zero value is suggested for the devices of liquidation of out-of-step regime for this purpose. The developed method of determination of moment for power system separation control action is tested via COMTRADE oscillograms, which were obtained at digital-to-analogue physical complex OAO NIIPT.

Work represents methodology of simulation of optimal parameters of technical systems (TS) with equivalent characteristics (criteria), with a criterion priority. The methodology is part of the concept of optimum designing of technical systems. Mathematical and organizational statement of the concept is provided in the first article. The methodology is provided as numerical implementation of mathematical model of technical system. The mathematical simulation model is a problem of vector optimization. Criteria of model are presented, first when the dependence of each criterion and constraints on parameters is well known (conditions of certainty), and secondly, when there is insufficient information about the functional dependence of each criterion on the parameters (under uncertainty). In the model of TS characteristics with uncertainty will be converted to criteria with definiteness. The methods of regression analysis are used to convert a vector task with the conditions of definiteness. Methods for solving vector optimization problems use the normalization of characteristics of TS and the rule of guaranteed result. For example of a model of a TS with numerical data of the vector problem of nonlinear optimization includes four characteristics (two of them with conditions of uncertainty). The vector problem of optimization is solved with equivalence criteria and for priority of one of the criteria.

In recent years, semiconductor converters are widely applied in marine electric power systems. Semiconductor converters are used in ship electric propulsion systems consisting of shaft generator units, a variable frequency drive, and alternators. The use of semiconductor converters results in decrease of power quality in ship networks, in particular, in an increased ratio of non-sinusoidal voltage waveforms (harmonic distortion). Rules of the Russian Maritime Register govern the maximum allowable distortion in the power network for a correct functioning of ship equipment. Improvement of power quality is achieved with a variety of methods including application of filter-compensating devices, three-winding transformers, and electromachine converters. The paper analyzes a single marine power system and circuit solutions for reducing the ratio of harmonics in ship networks.

This article focuses on possible application of a supplementary mechanical criterion for assessment of varying insulation properties of 6(10) kV cable line during operation. The research is conducted on the samples of impregnated paper insulation of cables having been exposed to thermal stress caused by recurring short circuit currents during experiments. In addition to the variation of mechanical stress at break of the insulation samples, the paper investigates the integral criterion for assessment of energy dissipation in insulation subjected to recurring mechanical stress. It was calculated for samples before and after a series of recurring short circuit faults. Energy dissipation variations obviously depend on temperature of the insulation sample, frequency of recurring mechanical stress and insulation conditions. The data obtained demonstrate the benefits of the application of such parameter as a supplementary mechanical criterion for assessment of insulation life.

Features of a solution for an inverse kinematic problem for manipulators with the PUMA scheme, which have constructive movement restrictions in corresponding mobility degrees, are considered. A method which by means of additional (redundant) mobility degrees of manipulators doesn't allow advance unpredictable exit of any mobility degree to the restrictions leading to sharp decrease in accuracy if trajectories of a movement of working tools of these manipulators in the process of performance of any technological operations aren't defined in advance is suggested. This method allows keeping automatically smooth movements of working tools without creating emergencies and without interfering with the quality of the performed works.
