Tuberculosis control in Indonesia has made a lot of progress, but nationally the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) until the second quarter of 2022, Treatment Coverage ranks 13th, which is 24.6% (SITB, 2022). It is estimated that 9,000 TB cases must be found and treated. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the TB control program in DIY. Assessment is carried out on process and output aspects in DIY mid-2022. This observational research was conducted at the DIY Health Office. The analysis was carried out descriptively on the process and output variables by comparing the results with the targets or standards set by the Ministry of Health. The 3 main indicators of TB elimination in DIY have not achieved the target, but the activities for the Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (P2TB) in DIY have been going quite well.

Health for all is the goal of sustainable health development as a form of joint investment, commitment to improve the quality of life and the health status of the community as high as possible, according to the mandate of UU RI Number 36 of 2009. Portraits of the complexity of national health problems are also found in DIY, one of the provinces that has been privileged with the enactment of Law No. 13 of 2012 concerning the privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The purpose of this study is to photograph health financing in DIY and its utilization. This study uses a descriptive research method with literature review from various references (Library Research) to analyze DIY health financing policies in 2021. The results of the study show that the life expectancy of DIY reached 74.92% in 2019 and became the best nationally, but on the other hand the poverty rate is also very high compared to the national figure so that the potential for vulnerability to disease and financial resilience is low when there is no health insurance from the government. , the portion of the health budget in DIY of 6.6% is still less than the mandate of the Health Law of 10% of the total APBD, and the specialty of DIY has Danais that distinguishes it from other provinces in Indonesia, although the portion of Danais is smaller but its allocation can be maximized to support efforts to increase public health status.

Indonesia is a country with high population movements as well as urbanization, this causes new emerging and re-emerging diseases such as malaria, diarrhea, cholera, diphtheria, anthrax, rabies, measles, pertussis, and Covid 19. Which can cause infectious diseases and outbreaks. The Early Warning and Response System (EWARS) is a web-based syndrome surveillance system used to detect any abnormal phenomenon that will trigger prompt public health intervention. This study aims to describe performance of the reporting system and management of EWARS implementation in the Province of Yogyakarta in 2022. This research was descriptive qualitative research by using evaluating approach. Qualitative descriptive research design using an evaluation approach. The informant selection technique was carried out using purposive sampling technique through in-depth interviews, observation and document review related to the research topic. The data analysis was content analysis. Validity test used was sources triangulation, methods and data. The results showed that Province of Yogyakarta had a timeliness of reports was 96.32%, completeness of reports was 99.43%, and 100% alerts responded. Meanwhile most of the data on the number of diseases in the EWARS did not match the report manual reports. EWARS has been carried out well in Province of Yogyakarta which can be seen from Timeliness, completeness, and alert responded, but needs to be improved in terms of data validation on the number of disease reports.

This paper explores the lived experiences of online learning by 2020 first year students in institutions of higher education in South Africa, students with no prior experience of online learning before COVID-19. Using a qualitative approach, a sample of 50 students was interviewed. Findings indicate that students’ online experiences were impacted upon by various factors which resulted in both positive and negative experiences. Factors that impacted learners’ online experiences include those linked both directly and indirectly to technology and learning online. Such factors include online preparedness, lecturer support, student-to-student engagement, flexible learning pathways, connectivity, learning technologies, digital literacy and self-management skills. Generally, students who received proper induction and support from their lecturers and institutions experienced online learning in a positive manner. Some institutions were not prepared for online learning and offered less support to students which affected students’ experiences of online learning. The paper thus argues that there is need for institutions to invest in online learning technologies, for Government to address issues of digital literacy and readiness and ensure that the right infrastructure is available. With the fourth industrial revolution having been fast-tracked by COVID-19, it is prudent to ensure that learners are technologically savvy.

This research analyses, using a case-study approach, the perceived success factors in an outstanding Chilean public school serving socioeconomically vulnerable students. This qualitative study draws on qualitative interviews with school staff and class observations, using the Instructional Core model as an analytical framework. Analysis revealed that the beliefs and structural cultural values shared by the school community where more relevant to explaining school success than concrete practices, and highlighted the importance of the interrelation among success factors for understanding their impact on school effectiveness. Additionally, elements such as the ongoing and changing nature of success factors, the strong influence of leadership and internal relationships and the use of professional judgement and situated knowledge by teachers were also identified as key to understanding effectiveness. Lastly, the unintended consequences apparent in this case-study are discussed, as the school under study confronts the hostile and inequitable Chilean education policy context. Keywords: school effectiveness, vulnerable students, Chile, public school, thematic analysis.

The formative assessment is a strategy that allows students to be aware of the state of their learning and to establish ways to correct the identified deficiencies; at the same time, it provides information to the instructor about those issues where misunderstandings occur. In the present study, we study its application to the solving of problems in university subject of scientific field. The activity involved short extension cases, coming from professional situations combined to self-learning tasks and supported on e-learning platform (Sakai software). The methodology was designed to achieve deep learning and a continuous evaluation of the process, not only the final product. The evidences collected (student’s documents, interviews and smartphone-based surveys) informed about the impact of the presented approach. The participants positively valued the initiative against the more traditional methodologies. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that students can actively participate in the learning-oriented assessment, maintaining the guarantees of the educational process, mainly suitable for large classes, limited schedule or on-line classes.
