Currently, many organizations are using social media as tools of technology to enhance customer relationships and improve their results. In Brazil, the financial sector has used Twitter as a tool of information, communication and technology (ICT) to communicate communicating with their customers. The aim of this study is to understand how financial institutions are using social media, specifically the social network Twitter to develop the image of their brands. Therefore, we carried out a descriptive study in which we did a monitoring on Twitter of the corporate profiles and SAC (Customer Service) profiles from the five biggest Brazilian financial institutions. We analyzed the content of 1.080 Twitter messages of those financial institutions. It was found that there are differences in behavior when the institutions interact through the corporate profiles and SAC profiles. The study concludes by identifying the need of institutions adopt Twitter as a TIC tool in search of a more cohesive and aligned image with its goals. Moreover, we identified a different behavior between the private and public financial institutions in Brazil, both in relation to the use of Twitter for corporate profiles and Customer Service profiles.

This study aimed to identify the required competences to work in coaching, in the Brazilian coaches’ perception. The coaching is a process that has been used to develop executive and managers, aiming business creative and innovative solutions. To identify these competencies, we conducted a quantitative and descriptive research, by means of a survey. The questionnaire was developed based on the theoretical framework and it was send by mail to coaches. After the pre test the questionnaire resulted in 24 assertions, divided on three constructs: knowledge, skills and attitude. By means of multivariate statistics techniques, the questionnaire was reduced to 14 variables/questions. From a univariate statistical analysis, the results helped to outline an updated profile of the professional coach and profession performance in Brazil. According to the perception of 134 professionals, the competencies highlighted were ethic and confidentiality, and the establishment of the alliance between coach/coachee, followed by competencies related to communication, such as listening and communicating. The most required competencies were related to skills, in other words, the competencies related to know how to do, understood not as a resource but as a capacity of mobilization for the professional actuation.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the scientific production published in journals related to human performance evaluation subject in the public sector. For this, the theme was studied in publications of articles databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Periodicals Scientific Electronic Library (Spell) and Web of Science. This is an exploratory research, qualitative approach and the data analysis used bibliometric study focused on content analysis. The process enabled us to identify 41 relevant articles and aligned with the research topic. This study also investigated the temporal evolution of this portfolio, the authors reference the theme, the journals that publish more on the subject, the most cited articles, the most frequently used references and the main methodologies adopted. With the results, we can see a theoretical gap in the study of human performance assessment in the public sphere and the lack of an established theory on this topic in the field of public administration.

Currently, there is a great need for companies to consider the environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability for responding to changing markets requirements. For medium and large companies, several instruments have been proposed and are available in the literature to measure the sustainability of these organizations towards this aim. However, in the context of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) the use of these indicators becomes difficult because of problems such as (i) lack of data; (ii) lack of information system; (iii) lack of people responsible for data collection; (iv) lack of people with the whole vision the processes; and (v) lack of strategic planning. MSEs are very important in any capitalist economy, which is also the Brazilian case. In this sense, the objective of this research was to propose an index of sustainability for MSEs as a self‐assessment instrument for sustainability measure. This study is an applied research developed from a conceptual model, including the elaboration of an instrument type form with questions related to environmental, social and economic aspects, for sustainability self‐assessment in micro and small businesses. The results achieved in this study corroborate with the definition of indicators for each aspect of sustainability in order to propose a quantitative measurement, including numerical and graphical content, to view the sustainability of MSEs objectively.

This research aims to verify if the perception of corporate social responsibility (PCSR) of employees influences in the job satisfaction. The hypothesis is the greater the employee's PCSR, more satisfied they are at job. Five sub‐hypotheses were tested: satisfaction with salary, with coworkers, with promotions, with the nature of the job and the leadership. In the research field, we used the database of research Great Place to Work, held annually in Brazil, with 114.147 employees of 383 companies. To test the research hypothesis, we applied the techniques of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed three constructs of the PCSR that are related to job satisfaction: satisfaction with leadership and nature of the work; satisfaction with salary; and satisfaction with coworkers. The perception of CSR significantly influences the three constructs. However, satisfaction with the leadership and the nature of work the construct was further explained by the perception of CSR.

This study aimed to analyze the sectoral ranking of the degree of environmental disclosure of Brazilian listed companies in the IBrX‐100. To this end, we carried out a descriptive, documentary and quantitative research, from a sample of 97 Brazilian companies in the period from 2010 to 2013. From Sustainability Reporting (RS) and Annual Reports (RA) reported by companies on the site the companies themselves, five environmental aspects were analyzed, namely: emissions, effluents, waste, product/service and transport, their proper criteria and sub‐criteria. From the collected data, we used the T‐ODA method to reach the degree of environmental disclosure of each company and year. The results show that companies in the public utility sector are the most evident environmental information on the aspects analyzed. Then, there are the companies in the sector Financial and Other. However, companies belonging to sectors and Miscellaneous Oil and Gas hardly show environmental information. It is noteworthy that the company showed more Duratex is the Basic Materials sector, followed by Ecorodovias company's Construction and Transportation sector. It should also be noted that 30 companies of the 97 did not show any information in its report on the aspects analyzed, or else do not disclose such reports.

Although sharing economy is a recent phenomenon, it has been increasingly spread. Many sharing economy companies have become successful and sustainable business models, which evinces the great potential of this phenomenon for economic development. Aiming to expand the knowledge of this economic phenomenon, it was sought to respond to how the study of Sharing Economy and Collaborative Consumption has evolved and what the trends presented in the international scientific production are. This research analyzed the international scientific publications related to the Sharing Economy and Collaborative Consumption themes, which makes the construction of a map of the published studies possible. From the bibliometric analysis of articles indexed in the Scopus, Web of Science, Springer Link, Wiley Online Library, SciVerse ScienceDirect and SAGE collections, between 1978 and February 2016, 44 articles, written by 77 authors and published in 35 journals, were found. Moreover, through systematic analysis of the literature, the main contributions of these publications were analyzed by identifying four major issues: Ontology, An alternative to consumption and its drivers, Technology, and Collaborative Business Management. Finally, this article provides an overview of the research in Collaborative Consumption and Sharing Economy from the issues identified, and it also identifies opportunity for future research that might analyze this phenomenon by refining and testing the theoretical approaches.

Academia has been analyzing organic certification labels for at least 10 years, with emphasis on their importance and level of knowledge. However, little has been written about the associations and meanings they have for consumers. This article aims to study this meaning through a quantitative research, survey type, with 388 respondents. The data were analyzed through a cluster analysis which revealed the existence of three customer groups, according to the meaning assigned to the labels. The three segments were called “Greeners”, “GMO-Freers” and “Don’t Carers”. The first group, the “Greeners”, is the largest (46.6%), and brings greater association with the meanings “sustainable agriculture” and “environmentally friendly” and is associated with older people. The second, the “GMO-Freers”, presents closer association with the meaning “It does not make use of genetically modified/transgenic seeds” and is related to people who have already done post-graduation courses (24.7% of respondents). Finally, the third, “Don’t Carers”, (28.7%), shows lower association to the label's meanings in general, and is also more concentrated in an elite group of consumers. The research comes to the conclusion that the label's meanings may change according to different consumer profiles. On theoretical grounds the present study fills a gap in the literature in a way that it deepens a first analysis of the label's meaning, by reaching a second level of consumer attributions, and revealing the need for understanding this meaning among different groups. Based on the consumer behavior model presented by Kotler and Keller (2012), it is possible to show how consumers’ psychological aspects can be influenced by social characteristics in the way the groups perceive organic labels. The practical contributions to manufacturers and certifying agencies of organic products are also discussed.

The study analyzed the Ipirá fish farming project, implemented in the reservoir of the hydroelectric plant of Tucuruí, State of Pará, in order to assess how their actions contribute to the improvement of living conditions of the families served by the same from the analysis economic and social indicators. Therefore, it was used as methodological procedures, the case study and the systemic model for aquaculture, particularly the calculation of the indexes that it composes the sustainability of economic and social sub‐system: Economic and Social Development Index (IDES) and Social Capital Index (ICS). The data were obtained by conducting field research and documentary research. The data collection instruments were the semi‐structured interviews. The interviews were applied individually with all the heads of the families served by the project, with the president It was observed that, despite the IDES and ICS present results that frame the project as medium level of economic and social development, according to the adopted model, it is emphasized that the project does not contribute significantly to the improvement of household living conditions in aspects housing and income, given that it is through these indicators that the human being begins to acquire essential goods and services for family maintenance and welfare condition, so the project does not constitute as an inducer instrument of economic development social.

The objectives of this study were to map and validate the sub‐process of the management of Health Services Waste (RSS) in the Surgical Center (CC) and calculate the cost of materials. This is a descriptive exploratory research with a quantitative approach in the case study method. This place was the DC of the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo. Considering the number of surgeries performed in the last four years, calculated the stratified probability sample was 1120 surgery. The residues were weighed for 82 days. To measure the cost was described subprocess of the RSS, it identified the perpetrators, was drawn flowcharts, levantamentou the amount and the direct and indirect cost of materials. The average waste generation by surgery was 3.72 kg. It is concluded that the average total cost per surgery, which would be the sum of the total cost of the Operating Room (OR) and payment of the remaining points of generation for the reason the survey sample (n = 1120) would be R $ 8.641, receiving R $ 5.526 of the SO, R $ 0.531 of REC, R $ 0.485 of ordinary waste recycled and R $ 2.099 common not recycled area of support is the best way to pay or price this service. The cost of a Kilo was: Group A (R $ 1.10), Group B (R $ 5.70), Group D Basic (R $ 0.96), Group D No Recycled (R $ 1.01) and since the group E (R $ 3.23). We conclude that the measurement of the cost model, which would be the description, mapping and validation of RSS management processes, which led to the sub‐processes, A, B, D and E, which are the RSS groups of legislation can be replicated in other services with the adaptations and improvements needed. If we keep the processes mapped to the annual projected generation will 36,066.63 kg with an annual cost of R $ 43,087.27, with an average cost of R $ 118.04 per day.
