In recent years, there has been increasing concern about scientific investigations of the endogenous electromagnetic fields generated by and contained in the human body. The purpose of the research is to investigate a simple portable instrument setup for measurement of human radiation waves. The human radiation frequency is measured using very sensitive body radiation wave detector. The frequency data is analyzed using statistical analysis method of SPSS. The appropriate antenna length and distance of frequency measurement for human radiation wave is established.

The growth of large interconnected electricity networks requires a high degree of security for normal operation. This paper attempts to overview several available techniques for assessing the Transient Security Assessment (TSA) of a power system. Different algorithms are explained in details (Static and Dynamic Security Assessment) with the uses of Artificial Intelligent (AI) method. Transient effects can be roughly described as undesired voltage/ current that may result a contingencies in the power system. However, it is only considered lightning and switching as the main causes of TSA. In this proposed method, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Fuzzy techniques are able to use in term of classification, prediction and to determine the system security status. Time domain analysis is performed for each credible contingency using signal processing method; than an AI model is proposed for the TSA analysis. The novelty of the proposed approach is that the fast ability to detect and classify any disturbance (lightning (or) switching) in the electric power system using AI techniques.

Nowadays considering more accuracy and speed to compute Available Transfer Capabilities (ATC) are important for electricity markets. Most studies involved load flow based and contingencies that often can be performed in reasonable time with the use of linear methods. Since the limitations of linear ATC calculations is the error produced by neglecting the nonlinear nature of real power flows. This paper presents Krylov Subspace methods that can reduce this error. By applying these methods for calculating ATC, the speed and the accuracy of them are calculated and compared to find the best one. All computations are tested on IEEE-30 bus system in MATLAB 7.1.

In an Intelligent Transport System (ITS), data dissemination based on inter-vehicle communication is effective for acquiring real-time traffic jams information. In this paper, we propose a novel method for traffic jams information dissemination in vehicular ad-hoc networks. In our proposed method, vehicles already trapped in a traffic jams elect leaders according to their locations from upstream and downstream respectively. Then, leaders generate traffic data which contains their position, velocity and counter respectively, and disseminate the information. Then, the data of the traffic jams can be disseminated to vehicles which do not trapped to the traffic jams.

Outcomes-based education (OBE) system is a motivated and reformed education system. OBE has been implemented in Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) programme offered by the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia since 2006. The learning process focuses on measuring the students' outcomes empirically. To contrast to OBE, the conventional learning system is primarily focuses on the resources available to students and to lecturers. In this paper, we present the relationship between the workload and the current implemented OBE learning system. Suggestions to improve the current OBE learning systems are also presented in order to enhance the learning method to benefit every entity involve in this system A survey was conducted to the student in the Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering. Most of the respondents do understand and aware about the concept of OBE since it was implemented. From the survey, more than 80 % of the respondents aware the implementation of OBE in the department and 75% of them agree that OBE system has increased their workload.

Sol gel-self assembly technique is presented to produce nanocrystals thin films. This combined technique was applied because more convenient, faster, simpler and less costly than others method. FESEM images show that the Mn doped ZnS exhibit the spherical type. The ZnS:Mn colloidal performs the high bandgap in visible region. Furthermore, the optical properties of the nanocrystals thin films are also studied by photolumines (PL). PL spectrum show the blue and orange emission due to 4T1–6A1 of Mn2+ transition.

This paper presents a theoretical combination of frequency modulation and Doppler Effect. We consider a single frequency source which moves on a path depending on a message and we will show in the simulation results that a receiver which is sufficiently far away from the source receives the FM wave corresponding to the message. We discuss on two of the most important possible paths in detail. These two paths are linear path when the message controls the source's velocity and circular path when the message controls the angel of movement. Also we show the simulation results of these two states and from these results, the modulated message in both states is the same as the modulated message in other common ways, however modulation in this way is directive and could be done in low power and these could be considered as some advantages of this method.

Traffic light system gives sign of direction and warning to road user to avoid road collision and to optimize the flow rate of vehicle in the junction. This paper presents design of a low cost performance traffic light system. This type of traffic light is suitable for town and small city where sophisticated traffic light system is too costly. A traffic light system nearby the university was chosen as reference. The program is written in verilog on Quartus II software and implemented on DEII FPGA board.

This research studies the human ear and human brain as a new idea to analyze sound. The human ear to be exact; the eardrum detects the sound signal and the cochlea filters the frequency signal. Subsequently, the brain is capable to recognize and learn the sound signal. This research maps the biologically-inspired ability to computational process then develops a conceptual model and a system model. From that, the research continues with the creation of the proposed algorithm for the sound signal analyzer. The research aims to generate faster and more detailed results as well as to achieve better accuracy in producing definite sound for information retrieval. Therefore, this research creates biologically-inspired sound signal analyzer (BISSA).

A project must complete in predetermined time and quality according to limited budget. Therefore the risk management of project is very important to succeed in project. One of the most important steps in risk management process is identifying risk factors of a project. In this study, the important risk factors are categorized into two main groups as internal factors and external factors. Each main group consists of several factors. A prevalent problem that is investigated by researchers in project risk management is specifying risks of threats to which the project is exposed. For evaluating the risk of threats, we rank them in terms of their probability and severity. In this study risk evaluation of construction project is investigated by the proposed fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP). The risk factors are prioritized by using analytical hierarchy process. For illustrating the FAHP method and its application for construction project risk assessment, a case study is presented.
