Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia due to progressive brain disease. It still has no current cure and scientists endeavor better ways to treat the disease, delay its onset, or prevent it from developing. This study aims to construct a structure of susceptibility to AD by using biomarkers and risk factors. The probability of susceptibility to AD is enhanced by the presence of biomarkers and risk factors.

Modeling of electronic transformer design with the implementation of Single-Phase Matrix Converter using MATLAB/Simulink 利用MATLAB/Simulink实现电子变压器的建模设计与单相矩阵变换器的实现

This paper investigates single-phase electronic transformer design using two stages of Single-Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC) coupled through a high frequency transformer each at the primary and secondary winding in an effort to reduce the size in the future applications of power transformer. Loads are presented in the form of passive device. The proposed system is simulated using MLS with SimPowerSystems environment. An output frequency of 1000 Hz is synthesized on the input stage of the transformer using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique with the output converted by another SPMC that produces 50 Hz output. Commutation strategies are implemented to mitigate associated problems arising from the use of inductive load.

On-line identification of an electro-hydraulic system using recursive least square 递推最小二乘法在电液系统在线辨识中的应用

This paper presents experimental on-line identification of an electro-hydraulic system represented by a discrete time model. A recursive least square (RLS) method is used to estimate the unknown parameters of the system based on auto regression with exogenous input (ARX) model. Residual analysis is used for model validation. Results are presented which show variations in parameters of the electro-hydraulic system.

In our urban community, having to wait in line is a daily nuisance as precious time is wasted. One simple example is traffic congestion on roads. Reduction of these congestions will not only minimize time wastage but also lead to a healthier life. For this reason, various approaches have been taken to mitigate this problem. In this paper, a simulation approach is proposed to model and investigate the behavior of traffic flow on roads. This is due to the difficulty in obtaining exact solutions based on probability theory and queuing systems even for moderately complex systems. In this paper, the simulation technique used is based on the Markov Chain Monte Carlo technique. It is noticed that the result obtained shows that traffic behavior can be modeled accurately. Thus, this simple approach can be extended to other similar systems such as computer networks, communication systems, etc.

Solid waste monitoring and management using RFID, GIS and GSM 利用RFID、GIS和GSM对固体废物进行监测和管理

This paper deals with the solid waste monitoring and management system using radio frequency identification (RFID) associate with intelligent systems. The system consists of RFID system, mobile communication like GSM and geographical information system (GIS) for tracking vehicle position. The proposed system would be able to monitor the solid waste collection process and management the overall collection process. It would provide in time solid waste collection, tracking the vehicle position through the GIS database and also overcome the disadvantages such as usage of minimum route, low fuel cost, clean environment and available vehicle. The technologies that would be used in the proposed system are good enough to ensure the practical and perfect for solid waste collection process monitoring and management for green environment.

This paper presents an investigation of a new technique to measure and indicate the level of human physical stress by studying and evaluating the pattern of the brainwaves using Electroencephalogram (EEG). The EEG data is analyzed using an intelligent signal processing techniques in order to indicate the level of the physical stress.

Influence of increasing deposition temperature on opto-electrical properties of amorphous carbon thin film 提高沉积温度对非晶碳薄膜光电性能的影响

Amorphous carbon (a-C) thin films were deposited on silicon (Si) substrate by pyrolysing camphor oil at various temperatures with thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique. The deposited a-C thin films were characterized by Current-Voltage (I-V) Measurement and UV-VIS-NIR Spectrophotometer. The electrical and optical properties of these films have been studied. It was found that increasing deposition temperature had influence on the a-C thin films properties. In addition the carrier gas flow showed a secondary impact on the properties of a-C thin films. The resistivity of a-C thin films decreases when the deposition temperature increases. However, at higher deposition temperature the conductivity increases due to the formation of more disorder sp2 carbon site.

Design and simulation analysis of nanoscale vertical MOSFET technology 纳米垂直MOSFET技术的设计与仿真分析

Design consideration of vertical MOSFET with double gate structure on each side of insulating pillar for nanodevice applications is presented. The body doping effect on vertical channel for channel length, Lg = 50nm and analyzing its effect towards such small devices was successfully performed. The analysis continued with the comparative investigation of device performance with conventional planar MOSFET as scaling Lg down to 50nm. The final part evaluates the innovative design of incorporating dielectric pocket (DP) on top of vertical MOSFET turret with comprehensive device performance analysis as compared to standard vertical MOSFET in nanoscale realm. An optimized body doping for enhanced performance of vertical MOSFET was revealed. The vicinity of DP near the drain end is found to reduce the charge sharing effects between source and drain that gives better gate control of the depletion region for short channel effect (SCE) suppression in nanodevice structure.

Chemical field-effect transistor with constant-voltage constant-current drain-source readout circuit 具有恒压恒流漏源读出电路的化学场效应晶体管

Response of Chemical Field-Effect Transistor (CHEMFET) electrochemical sensors are taken from the output of a readout interface circuit that maintains constant drain-source voltage and current levels. We employ the readout circuit for the purpose of supervised learning training data collection. Sample solutions are prepared by keeping the main ion concentration constant while the activity of an interfering ion varied based on the fixed interference method. Results show that the voltage response demonstrates linear relationship to the ion concentration within the detection limit. However, noise in the form of abrupt and random changes in DC levels reduces correlation and increases mean square error between similarly repeated measurements. We find that referencing the voltage response to the sensor response in DIW prior to measurement greatly improves the repeatability. The process of approximating ionic concentration level is achieved up to 80% recognition by feeding the readout circuit output to a neural network post-processing stage.

Results show that the voltage response demonstrates linear relationship to the ion concentration within the detection limit. However, noise in the form of abrupt and random changes in DC levels reduces correlation and increases mean square error between similarly repeated measurements. We find that referencing the voltage response to the sensor response in DIW prior to measurement greatly improves the repeatability. Semantic-based schema integration on grid 网格上基于语义的模式集成

More and more an Ontology is getting a key for grid platform to support the data combination of heterogeneous distributed resources. In this paper, we propose ontology-based data grid architecture for gathering large-scale distributed information of independent data sources by linking the ubiquitous computing middleware. This method that is not the keyword-based matching can bring closer results which human intend to acquire. The data grid system based on ontology is possible to access and integrate each distributed data of disperse databases around the world. In addition, this technique allows users to get more concise and abundant information. The architecture which is presented on this paper provides more effective way to search and retrieve data that users want to acquire from database by reducing the overhead of systems. So, the ubiquitous middleware core will obtain to have more affluent abilities as well as is able to be adopted for various fields.
