Since 1949 militants of the Latin American lefts undertook the journey towards the Chinese experience. Over two decades, they delivered travel stories where they narrated their experience in the largest nation in the world. They observed, wrote down and communicated their impressions on various topics. Among the most recurring themes, the agrarian reform and the emergence of the popular commune stand out. Latin Americans note the emergence and functioning of these, tense their vision associated with progress and industrialization, something very common in the middle of the century, with the emergence of a collective and community experience that reinvented tradition. The article argues, then, that it is the popular commune that opens some cracks in a discourse ossified by the idea of progress, allowing, in a conflicting way, to think of other forms of socialism construction.

El articulo se centra en escritos coyunturales de la periodista, novelista y cineasta Lorenza Mazzetti (1927-), y articulos mas acabados del psicoanalista Elvio Fachinelli (1928-1989). A traves de estos ejemplos, se busca ilustrar los diversos usos del psicoanalisis al interior del ’68 italiano. Fundamentalmente, se busca resaltar la compleja apropiacion del psicoanalisis, que era invocado como saber experto y al mismo tiempo celebrado como recurso de critica cultural y politica. EnglishAbstract: The intense mobilizations around the year 1968 in Italy elicited psychoanalysis’ social relevance. The article focuses on discrete pieces by the journalist, novelist, and film- maker Lorenza Mazzetti (1927-), and on articles by psychoanalyst Elvio Fachinelli (1927 1989). Through these examples, the article illustrates the uses of psychoanalysis during the Italian 1968 and its immediate aftermath. These examples show the complex appropriation of psychoanalysis during 1968, since it was invoked as an expert knowledge while also celebrated as a resource for cultural and political criticism.

espanolResumen: Este trabajo pretende analizar la presencia de las culturas precolombinas en los libros de texto escolares, que en Ciencias Sociales se erige como uno de los instrumentos mas eficaces para el tratamiento didactico de la diversidad cultural. Se han analizado libros de Primaria y Secundaria espanoles, evidenciando el poco peso que formalmente se le da a este contenido, la invisibilidad de las culturas prehispanicas y la vision eurocentrica de este acontecimiento historico. EnglishAbstract: This research pretends to analyze the treatment that precolumbian cultures have in the Social Sciences textbooks, as they are one of the most effective tool in a didactic approach to cultural diversity. We have analyzed different Primary and Secondary Spanish textbooks, and it could be observed the lack of importance of these contents, the invisibility of the precolumbian cultures and the eurocentric view of this moment of the history.

EnglishThe purpose of this article is to examine the relations between the Chilean Communist Party and the Alliance of Intellectuals of Chile for the Defense of Culture (AICH). The temporal delimitation is established by the foundation date of the entity (1937) and ends with the last issue of the magazine, Aurora de Chile presented as the official body of the AICH. We seek to identify the intellectuals who formed the group, the activities they develop and the extent to which they follow the communist guidelines, especially regarding the formation of the Popular Front and the defense of the antifascist struggle. We believe that Comintern's influence was undeniable, but this did not mean absolute control over this diverse group of Aichi intellectuals portuguesO objetivo deste artigo e o de examinar as relacoes entre o Partido Comunista Chileno e a Alianza de Intelectuales de Chile para la Defensa de la Cultura (AICH). A delimitacao temporal e estabelecida pela data de fundacao da entidade (1937) e finaliza com ultimo numero da revista, Aurora de Chile apresentado como orgao oficial da AICH.
