In the teaching/learning process there is a need to identify or, where appropriate, validate the identity of users accessing the various IT services used by the institution responsible for the courses offered. In the case of Universities, the following services are used, among others: email, a content management platform such as Moodle and shared cloud storage spaces such as Drive or Dropbox [6]. Through these services, teachers store work materials, assessment tests, student identification, assessment results and personal data. This is the way to ensure that each actor gets access to just the functionality granted by the system administrator. Currently, it is considered that using a single step method, particularly the use of a username/password pair, is not enough to ensure safe access. Therefore the use of a second authentication factor is required. Two-factor authentication factor (2FA) can be implemented in software or in hardware. This paper shows a survey of the situation at the University of Salamanca. Further, different alternatives for the implementation of a second authentication factor are proposed, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

In such a competitive labor market for young people, it is necessary for them to acquire the skills that the labor market requires. Thus, from the Master of Tourism of the University of Huelva, it is intended to make an analysis of the mastery of the competences of its students. In this specific case, the domain of ICT skills, since the degree of computerization of the hotel sector (where most of its students enter to work at the end of their studies) is quite high. This analysis is developed through a questionnaire made to 21 students in the last year of the master's degree and concludes that in general terms they give the importance they deserve to these ICT competences and that their mastery goes in parallel (except for some competences that show a training need), although there is no evidence of a link between the two.

Over the last years, relevant studies have been carried out on the gender gap in STEM degrees, where the gender distribution is unfavorable towards women, with consequences for their academic commitment and performance. This paper aims to identify gender differences in the perception of the teaching-learning-evaluation process in a feminized higher education context. Differences are found in favor of women in these contexts, where they have a higher performance in elements related to the understanding of the educational process and a more empathetic perception of educational inclusion.

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that is gaining a greater prominence in schools and universities in recent years. For this reason, it is necessary to know the scientific production on this technological resource based on the gender influence shown by the students. The objective of this research is to analyze the repercussion that the gender of the students presents with the use of Augmented Reality in different educational stages, in the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. To do this, a systematic review of the literature was carried out using the Kitchenham protocol, analysing a total of 66 articles published between 2017 and 2021. The main findings show that gender presents an important significant difference in relation to student motivation. However, there are no relevant or considerable differences regarding the acceptance and acquisition of knowledge.

For this purpose, the corresponding formulas are defined, as well as the dimensions and their indicators. The metric is then applied to the case of Ecuador.

This paper presents the implementation of the University Orientation Programme (POU) in a digital teaching platform based on the Moodle environment of the University of Zaragoza. The aim is to create a Virtual POU that allows participation by all EUPT students (both current face-to- face students and future distance students) in all the tutorial activities that the University of Zaragoza and the Center itself offer to their students. The implementation of the virtual environment, including information resources, communication channels and assessment tools, is described.

The motivation of women to study STEM-related careers does not increase over the years. This article presents an exploratory review to identify factors, current initiatives and models that favor and hinder adolescents and women from studying and staying in careers linked to these vocational training areas. Among the most outstanding results is the visualization of a pattern as a role model and the influence of parents.

The COVID-19 pandemic has positioned the issue of the virtual environments in the "new normal" of the teaching and learning processes. During these last times, the rapid transition from traditional face-to-face learning to online learning or ICT-based learning has been viewed as a paradigm shift in higher education. Based on the theoretical fundamentals of teaching-learning methodologies and strategies, educational resources design, and assessment, the present study describes an ICT-mediated teaching strategy to the Universidad de Medellín (Colombia) and its adaptation to the curricular innovation model of the institution. The present approach aims to contribute from two perspectives: (i) in a theoretically way to the digital learning area or ICT-based learning for higher education institutions, and (ii) in an empiric way with the practical implications of formulating strategies and processes of digital transformation in academic context and the relevant reflection about the teachers and students needs inside the virtual learning environments.

COVID-19 has accelerated digital transformation of universities by giving them no option but to immediately undertake important technological and methodological changes to guarantee instructional continuity. In addition, faculty and staff have made a great effort to improve their digital capabilities. From a strategic point of view, it is very important higher education institutions to take advantage of these advances as the basis to further adapt and improve their teaching and learning model to fulfill the expectations of learners in a digital society beyond COVID-19. In this paper, we describe the evolution of the ICT ecosystem of University of Murcia (Spain), with a strong focus on our Virtual Campus. In particular, we describe how we have continuously enriched our teaching and learning ecosystem as we were transitioning from emergency remote teaching towards the "new normal". Moreover, we also explain how we are capitalizing the effort in responding to COVID-19 to support the long-term goals of our digital transformation plan at the same time we fulfill the immediate need of offering our faculty an ecosystem adapted to the new needs that can support different teaching models and methodologies.

At this time of pandemic in which society is immersed, the abandonment of presentiality and the educational transition to the digital environment have been the main line of action followed in educational institutions in Higher Education. In this transition, the evaluation must be regarded as a guarantee for the quality, continuity, effectiveness and efficiency of educational systems and their eLearning teachings. This research proposes a mapping of the literature with the aim of discovering the conditions of research on evaluation in eLearning during the pandemic in Higher Education. For this purpose, it is based on objective criteria for selecting publications, and the phases followed throughout all the process. The results show the growing trend in research and the necessary continuity in the study, and the opening of new lines that place evaluation at the centre of this new educational reality.
