This article provides an economic assessment of the impact of the global pandemic COVID-19 on the economic efficiency of commercial airlines. The dominant role of airlines in the formation of flexible service supply chain and service travel chain has been identified, which increases their customer orientation and competitiveness in the air transportation market, as well as allows them to adapt more quickly to the changing logistics environment. It has been proven that the use of the outsourcing mechanism in combination with the diversification of services provided, allows, on the one hand, to create added consumer value for customers, and on the other - necessitates building complex integration relationships with business partners in service supply chains. Analysis of statistics and experience of leading airlines with different business models in the air transportation market has shown that outsourcing business processes in a global pandemic has allowed carriers to optimize costs according to the volume of work, respond flexibly to changes in consumer demand and better overcome negative impacts external logistics environment.

In the modern world, scientific and practical ergodesign activity on the development and use of drones, the concept of "human factor" is becoming more and more important. It is one of the main studies in improving the safety, efficiency and comfort of the "man - unmanned aerial vehicle" system operation. The most promising research is aimed at the application and development of new approaches to the evaluation of algorithms for unmanned aircraft maintenance and the organization of their operators` activities. The system of unmanned aerial vehicles ergodesign quality indicators developed and presented in a tabular form reflects practically all design and ergonomic properties of modern unmanned aerial systems. It is based on the existing normative documentation in Ukraine developed by the authors, harmonized with international and European standards. It allows the analysis and evaluation of unmanned aerial vehicles in order to take into account consumer interests at the beginning of their design reducing the assimilation time of products and preventing irrational production costs. The results of such an analysis underlie the development of technical documentation, standards, and specifications. They should be taken into account when putting products into production.

Part I presented the characteristics of non-military crisis situations, including natural threats and technical failures, terrorist threats, hybrid activities and disturbance of public order. The specified crisis situations imply specific actions of the public administration, which carries out its mission on the basis of national and international legal regulations. However, the forces and resources of the civil administration are not always able to provide assistance to all victims of crisis situations, in accordance with the applicable procedures. The implementation of procedures for providing aid and liquidating the effects of crisis situations requires specific, logistically prepared forces and resources. The legal regulations introduced on the basis of experience make it possible to use military forces to provide logistical support to the administration in crisis situations. Hence, in the second part of the article, the authors focused on presenting and familiarizing the reader with the possibility of using the Armed Forces in logistic support of civil administration, with particular emphasis on engineering troops and their support components, prepared to eliminate the effects of crisis situations.

The article deals with issues directly and (or) indirectly related to the functioning of logistics companies without specifying what they do, what their organizational structure is and where they are located. The issues arising from globalization processes and the internationalization of phenomena of social and economic life are emphasized. It was emphasized that the changing operating conditions of logistics companies have an impact on employee attitudes and behaviour, management and competences of managers, which should be constantly adapted to the conditions of the created situation.

In the literature on the subject, the terms steering, management and control are often used interchangeably. However, in the course of the terminological analysis, the author indicated the dependencies between these concepts and defined the area of their application. The conducted research allowed for the identification of the concept of command and the area of its influence. The system of command, as a special (specific) form of management, allowed for the presentation of the entirety of the commander's purposeful activity as part of the command system. As a result of the terminological analysis, the author drew attention to the diversity of the analysed concepts, which will allow for their purposeful and proper use in research in the field of social sciences in the disciplines of safety science as well as management and quality science.

Each organization and industry is specific, and the solutions functioning there are adequate to the nature of the company. In its entirety, this applies to transport companies that are growing dynamically, especially with regard to road and freight vehicle transport. These assumptions underlie the authors' scientific interest in one of the functions of management, which is motivation. The article shows that it is interpreted in many different ways. It has a special dimension when dealing with transport companies, where two main groups of employees can be distinguished: drivers and employees of other departments who care for the effective functioning of the company. It has been indicated that motivation plays an important role in achieving the set goals. In the case of transport companies, motivation is "governed" by slightly different laws than in the case of other economic entities. In the case of drivers, who are mainly men, the main motivator is cash prizes. The results of the conducted research showed that various types of motivators are appreciated in relation to the remaining employees of transport companies. Regardless of the function performed or the nature of the tasks performed, they are to be a positive stimulus of behaviour and attitudes aimed at achieving the company's goals.

They got even more complicated during the pandemic. It was emphasized that a very serious situation forces the use of even unconventional solutions or the search for alternative ways to replace what has been strained by the emerging crisis. In a fairly extensive ending, the prospects for a supply chain strategy have been presented.
