Physical education (PE) has long been recognized as an important component of holistic education, contributing not only to physical fitness but also to cognitive, social, and emotional development. This research is to find out whether physical education can improve problem solving skills. The type of research used in this research is associative (relationship) research. This research was conducted on high school students in Padang, West Sumatra with a sample size of 50 people (23 men and 27 women) using a purposive sampling technique. The Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) was the tool used in this research. This instrument consists of (1) problem solving beliefs (r =.85), (2) approach-avoidance style (r =.88), (3) personal control (r -.83). The research results that can be seen in the anti-image matrix table determine the level of suitability of the variables studied. In this case, the three variables in the Problem Solving Inventory all have values > 0.50 with the following details: 1) Problem solving confidence 0.643; 2) Approach avoidance style 0.501 and 3) Personal control 0.501. Furthermore, the Total Variance explained above in the Initial Eigenvalues section only has 1 factor which is formed from the 3 variables used. Because the requirement to become a factor is that the Initial Eigen Value > 1 is able to explain 43.273%, while the Extraction Sums of Squared Loadings value is 1.298 or > 1 and is able to explain 43.273% of the variation. And has a cumulative variation of 43.273%. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model can improve the learning outcomes of high school students in Padang. Problem solving is an important component in life, therefore problem-solving skills must be included in every lesson. This study explores the influence of social identity and team dynamics on the mental health help-seeking behaviors of collegiate athletes. The research aims to understand how factors such as gender, ethnicity, and social status shape athletes' attitudes and actions regarding mental health assistance. Method: Using a mixed-method approach that included focus group discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews, data were collected from 30 athletes representing various sports disciplines, ensuring balanced representation in terms of gender, ethnicity, and social status.Result: Thematic analysis revealed significant themes: male athletes faced substantial stigma in seeking mental health assistance, viewing it as a sign of weakness, while female athletes were more open and supported by a culture of emotional expression. Minority athletes encountered additional barriers due to cultural stigma and a lack of culturally competent services, whereas majority athletes had better access to mental health resources. High-status athletes experienced pressure to maintain their image, leading to reluctance in seeking help, while low-status athletes faced challenges in accessing resources despite their willingness to seek help. Positive team dynamics, characterized by support and open communication, facilitated help-seeking behavior, while negative dynamics, such as bullying and lack of trust, created barriers. Conclusion: The study highlights the need for targeted interventions that address specific needs based on gender, ethnicity, and social status, promote mental health literacy, and foster supportive team environments. Future research should focus on the long-term effects of stigma-reduction interventions, culturally tailored mental health services, and the impact of team dynamics over time. These findings provide valuable insights for developing effective mental health support systems for collegiate athletes. Sports play a significant role in improving human health and financial status, particularly in competitive sports. It is also closely related to the prestige of a region or country. To achieve maximum results, appropriate guidance is required, which can be provided by relevant parties. Policy makers require a specific coaching system based on the characteristics of different sports, which should be carried out continuously with systematically arranged stages. With numerous sports available, it can be challenging to monitor the progress and evaluation of each sport. Therefore, it is necessary to categorize sports based on their characteristics. This research aims to form categories of sports that are adapted to the various characteristics of each sport. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The sports that are used as references are those that are competed in the Olympics, as well as those that are competed in Indonesia, especially in National Sports Week (PON). The sample includes 39 sports. After analyzing the characteristics of sports, the following categorizations have been produced: accuracy sports, martial arts, extreme sports, assessment sports, games sports, racquet sports, and measurable sports.

The purpose was to identify the risks of climbing facilities in primary schools in the province of Pontevedra (Galicia) in comparison with the regulatory standard, as well as the teachers' assessment of their use, maintenance and safety. The study was carried out in 18 schools by means of an inspection check-list and a questionnaire. Bearing in mind that it is not common for climbing walls to be used for non-educational activities and by people other than the pupils themselves, the most frequent risks were the lack of signage and warnings, and it was found that all the facilities present some risk, of a trivial or tolerable level, which coincides with similar studies. It is important to provide the teaching staff with tools so that they can carry out periodic checks, although they confirmed that the climbing walls studied were totally safe for the activities carried out. Keywords: Risks, accidents, walls, climbing, review, teachers, school.

Football is complex because it involves physical aspects, technical competence, the ability to understand tactics, and psychological conditions. This study focuses on exploring the psychological characteristics needed by U17 football players in Indonesia and Malaysia to become professional football players in the future. The researcher used a qualitative method with a grounded theory approach to find these psychological characteristics. The researcher conducted interviews, observations, and document analysis to collect data from 25 football coaches in Indonesia and Malaysia who already have a football coaching license and have at least five years of experience as U17 football coaches who were participants in this study. The license and knowledge of the coaches are expected to be valuable sources of information in this study. The data collected were analyzed through several steps, starting from open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, to find themes that emerged from the coach's information. In addition, to facilitate data grouping, the researcher also conducted data analysis with the help of software in qualitative research, namely NVivo 14. This study found five psychological characteristics that can help U17 football players to rise professionally. The first characteristic is the cognitive aspect of the player's intellectual ability, goal setting, imagery, focus, and willingness. Second, affective factors involve self-confidence, happiness, motivation, and self-control. Third, behavioral factors include discipline, attitude, commitment, and respect. Fourth, personality factors include courage, adaptability, and mental toughness. The last factor is the spiritual aspect, which requires players to have ritual and social worship. The psychological element is not the main factor in the success of football players, but it is a determining factor. With the development of scientific collaboration for football, football coaches or stakeholders in Indonesia and Malaysia can use the results of this study as a basis for creating programs for the development of football in both countries. The purpose of this critical commentary is to provide insights about the impact of funding structures on youth sport research and programming, with a particular focus on research priorities and access to quality youth sport experiences across competitive youth sport programs. Portugal is used as a case studyto provide insights about how funding structures may be strategically positioned to positively influence competitive youth sport programs and associated research efforts. The field of competitive youth sports constitutes a complex network influenced by cultural, social, and political factors, where multiple decision makers are driven by funding requirements, performance ideals, and societal norms. This context, although promising, faces challenges such as the prevalence of a lucrative market that prioritizes competitive outcomes, exacerbating inequalities and inherently neoliberal ideals. A strong emphasis placed by funding on winning and performance development may undermine other concerns to emerge across competitive youth sport programs. Furthermore, research programs play a crucial role in understanding and providing novel pathways for competitive youth sport. However there are challenges in seeking funding and academic recognition for these endeavours, which can create a disconnect between knowledge creation and actual needs. This reflection seeks to stimulate an open and constructive dialogue, calling on all actors that are part of the competitive youth system to develop collaborative efforts to make competitive youth sport a holistic experience accessible to all.

Badminton has become one of the most popular sports globally, with competition intensifying at various levels of competition. This research aims to conduct a systematic review of the strategies used to improve the performance of badminton athletes. By understanding effective strategies, coaches, and athletes can improve their preparation and performance in competition. A systematic method was used to identify and analyze literature related to training strategies, nutrition, recovery, and psychological aspects that affect the performance of badminton athletes. Relevant articles were searched through academic databases and reliable reference sources. Predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria were used to select studies that met the review objectives. The results of the review showed that various strategies have been used to improve the performance of badminton athletes. These strategies include physical training methods, game tactics, nutritional interventions, recovery strategies, and psychological approaches. Some strategies were found to have a significant effect on improving athlete performance, while others require more research for further validation. In the context of improving the performance of badminton athletes, this review concludes that various training strategies, the use of modern technology, nutrition, recovery, and psychological approaches can be effective in improving athlete performance. The importance of implementing these strategies in athletes' training and preparation programs cannot be doubted. However, it should also be kept in mind that the use of appropriate strategies should be tailored to the needs of the individual and the phase of competition preparation. Further research is needed to gain a deeper understanding of the specific strategies that are most effective in the badminton context, as well as to validate these findings in a practical setting.
