Abstract. The aim of this study was to identify the performance indicators, those behaviors that triggered the subsequent achievement of a try, of the Corteva Cocos team during the 2022/23 season, where they finished as runners-up in the Iberdrola Women's Rugby League. To achieve this, an idiographic observational design, tracking and multidimensional, was employed, recording nine out of the 14 matches played by the team in that season. An observation instrument was specifically constructed for this research to record offensive behaviors performed within the rival team's 22-meter area. The analysis of polar coordinates provided insights into the behaviors that showed an activation relationship with the subsequent scoring of a try in each of the matches and also throughout the season, after analyzing all matches collectively. The results revealed the dynamic nature of performance indicators, as they varied depending on the analyzed match. Additionally, the joint analysis of behaviors from all matches allowed for understanding the general trends exhibited during the season. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of performance indicators in rugby and can guide the design of training sessions and strategic competition preparation. Keywords: match analysis, performance indicators, game patterns, observational methodology, polar coordinates analysis.

Grassroots football is the foundation for young children's football development process. It emphasizes several aspects that are necessary for children's psychological well-being, such as excitement, encouragement from coaches, and parental support. In the process of developing grassroots football players, parents have a very big role in the child, not only in providing support for the child but must be in accordance with the child's needs in the path of football development. This research aims to provide information regarding appropriate parental support for grassroots football players according to coaches' views. A qualitative approach toward grounded theory was used to formulate the research with 25 coaches from Indonesia and Malaysia who have a coaching license in football and at least five years of coaching experience. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. The research data was obtained through a semi-structured interview model, field observations, and document analysis, which were analyzed using N-Vivo 14 software. The research results show that parents should have wisdom in supporting players. Parents need to understand that grassroots football is early childhood football development and should avoid becoming obsessed with making their children professional players. They must provide support for the training program provided by the coach, always be positive by giving appreciation to children, monitor their children's eating times and sleeping patterns, update their children's learning at school/learning with coaches, limit and monitor their children's use of gadgets at home, and most importantly, be the primary fans of their children. Collaboration between coaches and parents will positively contribute to increasing achievement in grassroots football, and children who are coached from an early age will continue to pursue their dreams of professional football. This study aims to analyse the self-confidence of wheelchair basketball, tennis, badminton, and archery athletes. This study uses a moderated regression analysis (MRA) approach, namely performance in training as independent variable, self-confidence as a dependent variable, and coach-athlete intimacy as a moderator. Sampling was done using total sampling at the open tournament championship. The wheelchair athletes involved were 20 basketball athletes, 15 tennis athletes, 15 badminton athletes, and 15 archery athletes age 29.98±2.4 with 11.37±1.2 years of training. The highest experience of the competition is that 37 athletes have participated at the national and international level. This study was conducted for six months from early June to November 2023. The data were collected using questionnaires that were confirmed and given before the match and semi-structured interviews to strengthen the discussion. The instrument consists of 57 items, and an Aiken V validity value of 0.863 and Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.708 were obtained. The results showed that performance in training influenced self-confidence (sig. 0.003 or p<0.05) and (R2 = 12.8%). Meanwhile, the coach-athlete intimacy can positively moderate the performance of the coach-athlete with self-confidence (sig. 0.000 or p<0.05) and (R2 = 47.2%). The results of this study suggest the involvement of government agencies to foster, develop, and facilitate all individuals with special needs. In addition, it is necessary to increase the competence of coaches through special training or by opening a coach study program for coaching people with disability at the university. Further research should consider the number of samples involved and how to collect data with a research design adapted to the circumstances but can produce accurate data.

Além disso, foi possível identificar em que momento foram realizadas as intervenções anteriores, em que fórum foram dirigidas e o tipo de conteúdo abordado pelos formadores. Assim, os treinadores podem ter comportamentos diferentes, dependendo do contexto, dentro ou fora do jogo.\u0000Palavras-chave: Formação, Crianças e Contexto.","PeriodicalId":503742,"journal":{"name":"Retos","volume":" 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141831640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to translate and cross-culturally adapt the Physical Literacy Knowledge (PLK) questionnaire from Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy-2 for Portuguese version, and to evaluate its psychometric properties (construct validation, content, composite reliability, measurement invariance) in low-income Brazilian children. The sample comprised of 562 children (247 girls), aged between 8.00 and 12.99 years-old (10.20±1.20 years), enrolled in the 12 public-school in Lagoa do Carro city, Pernambuco, Brazil. A translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the PLK questionnaire was carried out. Content validity was determined by calculating the content validity coefficient, which assesses the relevance, clarity and pertinence of total (CVCt) and each question individually (CVCi). The dimensional structure of the PLK and alternative models were considered with first and second order models. Internal consistency was assessed using composite reliability. Structural invariance (configural, metric, scalar and strict) between sexes was also assessed using a multigroup factor analysis. Content validity was considered acceptable, varying between 0.88 and 1.00 for CVCi, and 0.91, 0.94 and 0.99 for clarity, pertinence and relevance in the CVCt, respectively. Construct validity was considered adequate, with 3 dimensions and 9 items model being the most appropriate [χ²(df)=34.01(24); CFI=0.92; TLI=0.87; RMSEA=0.03; SRMR=0.04; 90%CIRMSEA=0.00-0.05]. The questionnaire was structurally invariant (all ΔCFI<0.05). Based on the findings, the PLK questionnaire has adequate psychometric properties to assess the cognitive domain of Physical Literacy in low-income Brazilian children. Background and objectives: Obesity is a growing global health problem and is becoming a significant challenge in the clinical and public health fields. One of the main concerns is the impact on an individual's quality of life. This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various interventions, including physical activity and diet, in the management of obesity. Methodology: The selected studies involved a population of adults who were obese (aged 18 years and over) and had made lifestyle modifications through pattern changes, eating, physical activity, or both. A total of 324 articles were screened, of which 25 were duplicates. After a screening process for suitability, 261 articles were excluded. A further 27 articles were excluded due to inappropriate study design or incomplete data. A total of 11 full-text articles were then reviewed and included in our analysis. The results showed that participants who followed a milk-based diet recorded a significant decrease in body weight of -1.16 kg (confidence interval -1.66, -0.66 kg; p < 0.001) as well as a decrease in body fat mass of -1.49 kg (confidence interval -2.06, -0.92 kg; p < 0.001). Participants who adopted an alternate day fasting (ADF) eating pattern achieved an average weight loss of -0.9% ± 0.6% in the low weight loss group and -9.9% ± 1.1% in the low weight loss group. Meanwhile, participants who restricted calorie intake (Caloric Restriction/CR) recorded a weight loss of -1.3% ± 0.7% in the low weight loss group and -9.2% ± 1.2% in the weight loss group tall body. Combining approximately 175 minutes of intense physical activity per week with a controlled diet results in significant weight loss of up to 5%. In conclusion, this systematic review confirms that the most effective approach in the management of obesity in adults is a combination of strength and cardiovascular training of at least 175 minutes per week and a low-calorie diet tailored to the individual's metabolic needs and health condition. Obesity can interfere with the bone remodeling process, training is one solution to protect bone density. However, training and its intensity on bone remodeling through the biomarker Bone Specific-Alkaline Phosphatase (BALP) with obesity is still not widely studied so it is still unclear its effectiveness. The experimental study involved 24 mice (Mus musculus) that were induced with 30% fructose once a day for 60 days. Mice were grouped into 4 groups according to the intensity of training, namely the control group without training (K1), low intensity with a load of 3% body weight (K2), moderate intensity with a load of 5% body weight (K3), while high intensity was carried out with a load of 7% body weight for 70% (K4) of the maximum duration. All training sessions with a frequency of 3 times/week, and then a post-test comparison examination of BALP levels was carried out. The average number of BALP levels (ng/mL) in each group post-test, the control group had a result of 15.77±3.10, for the provision of low-intensity training with a value of 13.92±2.23, while for the moderate intensity training group of 13.11±1.67, for the highest increase was in high-intensity training with a value of 21.10±3.70. Based on the Tukey honestly significant difference (HSD) test, the post hoc high-intensity training group was significantly different from other groups (p ≤ 0.05). All types of training intensity analyzed in this study increased BALP levels, especially in the high-intensity training group which had a very significant increase in BALP levels. Therefore, training and its intensity affect bone metabolism increase. Keywords: Aerobic Training, BALP, Obesity, Swimming, Training intensity.
